ENOUGH WITH THE FROST WARNINGS. Help me help you, Mother Nature!! Same. I haven't bothered sowing any of the veggie or herb seeds I have because the cold weather just won't freaking leave. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this weekend. yeah, my seeds that were flourishing went stagnant for a couple weeks and now they aren't looking so hot. I've been moving them outside when I can, but they just aren't digging the container life. Guess it's just another gardening lesson. Don't jump the gun.

I’m very excited to start planting annuals tomorrow. I’ll wait on veggies until next week, but I feel like gardening season is finally here! I’m waiting on my front zinnias and marigolds because we are having rock removed, but it’ll take 2 more weeks. I might start them under my grow lights once I move all my other stuff outside.

ENOUGH WITH THE FROST WARNINGS. Help me help you, Mother Nature!! I swear I’m not dumb, but I was shocked for a second, before I realized, you know, climate varies in the U.S. My tomatoes are nearly ready! I think I might move them to grow bags, so I can put them were they’ll get a bit more sun.

Where I am we suffer through nearly 6 months of shit weather to bask in it's gloriousness for 6. Rinse and repeat forever and ever.

Now that we're finally past the last frost, I ordered 7 rose plants from Breck's today, and am hunting down boxwoods, all for the front yard. Plus more brick for edging and a couple of fancy looking planter urns that will each have a smallish arborvitae. I want it to look very formal and I hope the boxwoods and roses play well together in our soil.
Sidenote: I need a power tiller. Doing this by hand suuuuuuuuuccckkks.

I don’t think I planted enough okra. It looks like I’ll only be getting a handful at a time. My oregano is out of control. I guess I can dry it. I’m not sure what else to do.

You can definitely trim it back and dry it. Bundle stems and hang or lay them out on a rack, let dry until the leaves are crispy, then strip them off the stems and store. Sometimes my neighbors sill take some harvested herbs too if I have enough to share.

Those who follow me on IG have seen our epic cherry harvest - and it’s not over. I’ve made cherry pie and maraschino cherries, eaten a ton, given away a couple pounds, let my kid make us countless “cherry sodas” (smashed whole cherries topped off with Squirt), and tonight I shall attempt cherry jam. This is our biggest harvest by far and I’m just beside myself. 🍒 Here’s one of many baskets we’ve picked so far. I’ll definitely have to give more away and will probably freeze some. I can’t keep up!

iruntodrink, a freeze?! Again?! Ugh, that sucks. I saw they said for my area it's supposed to be low 40's overnight for the next few days, but I guess I should get my boxwoods in the ground just in case. I really didn't want to do it today... there's over 20 of them.

sorry, I was thinking you were a cherry farmer - if it's your personal and you don't want to send that's fine. I'm having comprehension issues today LOL

We have been re-doing our garden. A few years ago we had enough tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes and corn to get us through the fall, but we haven't had much luck since. My husband spent the spring making boxes and starting over completely, so I'm excited to see how this year goes, although it's still a work in progress. We already have strawberries and the blueberries are beginning. We've planted tomatoes, peppers, onions, potatoes and some herbs. The blackberries and raspberries are just now starting, as well as hops for home brew. Our orchard has apple and cherry trees, so hopefully those do well this year and we can make a few pies!

Ooh I loved scrolling through here. Classic Canada, I just planted my garden last night. The night before was -4 and I'm hoping that's the last day below freezing! I planted watermelon (lol DH), butternut squash, corn, beans, peas, carrots, tomatoes, lettuce, zuchinni, cucumber, cauliflower. I've never had a garden where everything grew so we will see what happens. I'm jealous of those gardens that are already growing!
