How's everybody doing?
It was 65 here yesterday and all the snow is finally melting (Minnesota) so I'm feeling good with spring coming.
I can't believe H is 6 months! Daycare had a meeting with me this week to get tips on making her happier. I just have very high needs babies, all 3 of them have been.
In other news I noticed a tear in the tubing on my Spectra. I replaced it this morning and got 7oz on my first pump vs the 4-4.5 I'd been getting!

Hey.
I've been in a super funk that I can't shake. I'm unhappy at work and burnt on the pandemic. Burnt out on the choas of life during it. I'm feeling very done and just, ugh, I don't know. I've been in a weird place lately.
T is doing great. He's trying to get up to his knees but isn't there yet, but he motors around in the walker. He's a fucking horrid sleeper. Up every two hour all night no matter what I try. We'll probably sleep train at some point because I'm seriously at my breaking point of sleeping in 1-1.5 hour increments all night. That requires shipping my other kids off to grandparents for a weekend though so that it doesn't disrupt them. DD1 is also a bad sleeper and very light at that, so sleep training a baby when they share a bedroom wall with her home won't work.
I don't know.
I'm tired.

I'm also coming home to more breast milk being left in the fridge and H defaulting to formula. I don't care how my kids are fed, but when I'm home he's boob fed and I have to pump during the work day to not explode and keep a supply. I hate pumping so if H is too fucking lazy to heat up a BM bottle then WTF. Like, why am I bothering? I want to breastfeed until he's at least one, but I'm not busting my ass to keep a supply just for H to not use. C'mon dude. He could tell I was pretty unhappy with him when he told me today that T eats it too messy and the formula fills him more so he naps better. He wouldn't spit it out if you warmed it enough. And it's not filling him because it's cold and he's spitting half of it out. JFC dude. This is our third time around, how do you not get this?

cnf this year is so, so hard. I'm sorry about the funk. Hopefully warmer weather coming will help some. Also the not sleeping is probably a HUGE part of it. My first was that bad (H is still up but not as bad as she was). It seriously makes you feel like a crazy person. Then with 2 other kids on top of it, ugh. Good luck on sleep training if you go that route. And WTF to your husband. That's liquid gold he's not using.

I'm so so sorry about the lack of sleep cnf. I've said it before, but sleep deprivation is truly torture and, for me, it completely changes my mood and outlook. I hope that, whatever you choose to do in terms of sleep training, you start to see some improvement soon.

Camille is doing well. She was 6 months on the 3rd and weighed just over 18lb. We're not really taking her anywhere but we installed a convertible car seat for her because she's too heavy to carry in the infant seat lol.
She's still not rolling. Or sitting unassisted. But the doctor wasn't concerned. She is babbling a ton, passing objects from hand to hand, generally really engaged and happy, gets her knees under her and bum up while on her tummy, so she's just taking her sweet time with the gross motor stuff. I wonder if it's partly personality since she's just so content all the time; she isn't motivated to move around.

Also, my others were rolling by this point but neither of them were sitting unassisted until 7ish months.

DD is five months old now and 17lb 6oz. She's trying to keep up with her brothers already. She's a good sleeper which is great because DS3 was/is not. [IMG

T can roll to get himself around. It's funny to watch. We're working hard on unassisted sitting. He can do short stints, but he can't get himself up to sitting yet on his own.

H is trying to do everything earlier than her sisters did. Got teeth early, can sit unassisted, scoot on the floor, and stand holding something for 10-15 seconds. I think it's because she's so skinny.
She's also started being super goofy and when she looks at somebody turns her head way to the side. I'll try to find a picture.
She doesn't sleep though.

Here's a decent picture of it, but she'll tilt her head even further.

C was 6 months on the 10th and still super tiny. Only 13 lbs, although you wouldn't think it by his rolls and double chin. We had to have an xray of his head after his 6m appt Thursday, because the nurse was concerned about his flat spot. It's starting to make his head grow to a point on one side of his skull. He's finally starting to roll and sit unassisted though! Butttt now he's in quarantine 😭 one of his teachers at day care tested positive for COVID. So he has to quarantine for 10 days.

Hugs to all who need them, especially cnf. I'm feeling pretty blah these days too. Entering year #2 of pandemic parenting has me feeling some kind of way, and things aren’t sunshine and rainbows when it comes to our family dynamic and MH’s career situation right now. 2020 was a mostly garbage year for us, and while I’m very glad we had DD2 to bring some light and hope to the year for us, it’s really sad to me that **all this** is the world she’s growing up in. This is not at all what we had hoped and expected our first year with our very last baby to be. 😭 I cry laugh when we go out into the world because T only knows a world where everyone covers their faces to be around each other. He has no idea it's not normal for me to cover half my face when I get out of the car.

C rolled from back to front for the first time yesterday!
The rest of us have been battling colds but I've been trying so hard to keep the baby from getting it. Well, she woke up sick this morning so that's putting a damper on our day. Poor thing.

We're damn near crawling at this point. Lots of rocking on knees and lurching forward frustratedly. He's doing great sitting unassisted too, but can't himself into a sitting position without help yet.
Turned 7 months yesterday and I'm in a lot of feelings about him being closer to one than new and squishy. I want to shrink him back down and just cuddle him so hard.

cnf that's about where we are with crawling too, and my feelings about it. Plus that early toddler stage is so exhausting in its own way. I'd like to keep my non-mobile pet easy baby for a bit longer please!
