I feel like I’m losing my mind bc I don’t remember ever getting a second stimulus payment and now people are talking about a third one? Am I losing it?

Virginia friends, Senator Mclellan and Jennifer Carroll Foy were both on last week's Hysteria podcast I think one of the two of them is getting my primary vote and I'm no less torn now, but the interviews were great I will listen, thank you! I am torn between these candidates as well.

Oh my gosh 🤦🏻♀️🙈 Yes now I remember the $600 and the uproar. And then how it’s $1,400 not $2k now. My gosh to me 🙈😬😳

addymac, you have a lot on your plate. I had to look at my bank account myself when I was filing my 2020 return to check I'd received both payments LOL.

Hmm. I am fairly certain we didn’t get anything in December. Maybe we didn’t qualify? I was pretty tuned out at that time.

We don’t qualify for this stimulus and I don’t think we did for December, either. Or it was such a small amount that it didn’t even register on my radar. But I’m usually very aware of money moving into my account haha. Oh well. I can’t complain that we are lucky enough to not need the stimulus.

Double check before you file this year, it is part of the questions asked when you submit 2020 taxes. If it helps, ours was deposited the first week of January. If you didn’t get it and should have, it will come with your return, from what I understand.

So our taxes are pending, but no sight of the stimulus yet. We’ve been discussing adding a bathroom to the basement with it. 6 people in a 1.5 bathroom home is a challenge. It feels responsible and economy stimulating with a side of it is absolutely necessary. I’m nervous. LOL me.

I saw something that said Chase and WF are anticipating them to drop on 3/17 if you bank with them. There is also some kind of stimulus tracker website that will be available starting Monday. www.irs.gov/coronavirus/get-my-payment

I will check it this week if I don’t see it pending. We have a credit union and usually it shows pretty quickly.

Wedid our taxes yesterday and one of the questions was making sure you got the full amount for which you qualified in December and, if not, too add it to your refund as a credit

Chris Christie thinks Republicans don't want to get vaccinated because the president isn't giving 45 credit for the vaccine? Wat?

It is not in the Federal section or federal review section at all.

This is a step in the right direction The Biden administration is deploying the Federal Emergency Management Agency to the Mexico border to help care for thousands of unaccompanied migrant teens and children who are arriving in overwhelming numbers and being packed into detention cells and tent shelters, the Department of Homeland Security said Saturday evening. The deployment marks another escalation in the administration’s response to the growing crisis at the border. It is part of what DHS said would be a 90-day government-wide effort at the border, where an unprecedented number of minors are arriving without their parents each day and must be sheltered and cared for until they can be placed with a vetted sponsor, usually a parent or relative already living in the United States. Biden will deploy FEMA to care for teenagers and children crossing border in record numbers By Nick Miroff www.washingtonpost.com/national/fema-border-unaccompanied-minors/2021/03/13/738366a4-8455-11eb-bb5a-ad9a91faa4ef_story.html

He did a shitty job with that whole segment. He didn’t check him at all and didn’t push him to actually answer any questions.

Schumer (I think it was Schumer) said if Democrats gained control of the Senate, then nothing was off the table. I'm glad to see they're sticking to that. ETA: "They" being most of the Democrats in office. There is no point in trying to work with this iteration of the GOP. All that happens is they keep yanking the entire country and agenda to the right. Democrats have to get as much as they can done before the midterms.

The GQP didn’t give a shit about bipartisanship and look where it got us. Use the force you have and GET. SHIT. DONE. That it even has to be said! Ugh.

willow USA Today has a big article on the IRS taxes refund delays. I know it doesn't get you your money faster, but big media is picking up on the issue at least. Hopefully that'll help get things moving a bit faster.
