Weeks Pregnant: 16
Baby is the Size of a: avocado
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM
Appointments: 3/2 and anatomy scan on 3/29
How are you feeling? Doing better. My appetite is slowly coming back. I’m still just kinda nibbling and not really eating much but it’s a huge improvement.
Rants/Raves? Nothing this week
GTKY: what was the highlight of your week? Mine was having a takeout night with just DH. It was nice to have some one on one time with him.

Weeks Pregnant: 15 this weekend.
Baby is the Size of a: Homer Simpson’s donut
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM
Appointments: 3/11
How are you feeling? Overall getting better. Nausea hits more randomly now and my good days are more than not.
Rants/Raves? I think I’m finally catching the cold that DD and H had 2 weeks ago.
GTKY: what was the highlight of your week?I’m feeling the baby more often/stronger and I ordered a couple of things for him (a couple of hooded towels and his Easter basket- I wanted a coordinated basket with DD)

Weeks pregnant: 18 today
Baby is the size of a: sweet potato
FTM/STM/TTM/etc: gestational surrogate
Appointments: anatomy scan 3/19, OB 4/8
How are you feeling? Still pretty great! My emotional sensitivity is on high though and I’ve had lots of big cries lately. I hate that.
Rants/raves: work was a beast this week. TGIF!
GTKY: I found my 6 year old karate obsessed DS a relatively safe, strictly mask enforced tae Kwon do class. It took tons of calling around and sooo many gyms telling me the kids wouldn’t have to wear masks to find one that I think will be perfect. He starts 3/22 and he’s so excited!

How are you feeling? Mainly just exhausted. I’m usually up for a few hours in the middle of the night so that is not helping things
Rants/Raves? Nothing this week
GTKY: what was the highlight of your week? I had my NT scan this week and everything looked perfect.

Weeks Pregnant: 18 +2
Baby is the Size of a: sweet potato
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: 3TM
Appointments: had my anatomy scan on Thursday and have my 20 week appt on March 11
How are you feeling? I have good days and bad. The nausea comes and goes, but it’s on more than it’s off still. SPD is creeping in. I’m doing okay, though. Getting enough sleep makes a big difference. I had some 5 am work days where I had to be up before 4 am and those days were brutal.
Rants/Raves? I didn’t have to return for my anatomy scan! With both other kids, they wouldn’t show all the angles for the heart that were needed, so I had to go back. I’m happy I don’t have to do that this time.
GTKY: what was the highlight of your week? Other than the anatomy scan being good, I took Wednesday off because DCP was off. It was nice to have a random day off home with the kids, and I got some quality time with DD2 since DD1 had virtual school.

How are you feeling? Pretty good. I’m so exhausted and patiently waiting this promised second tri energy. Also, quickly becoming the pickiest eater ever.

GTKY: what was the highlight of your week? Some close friends of ours got married this weekend and we got to watch it live streamed and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I feel like I’m losing my shit. I woke up soaked in blood last night. Decided to wait and call my doctor this morning which of course told me to go to the ER. I pointed out the ER just does an ultrasound and tells me to contact my doctor the next day. And it’s $250 copay every time. Like why the hell can’t anyone seem to pinpoint why I’m bleeding. Like they see NOTHING. I feel like a crazy lady constantly calling about bleeding. I keep getting best “guesses” and I’m so over going to the ER to be told nothing and going to my doctor to be told essentially nothing.

I’m so sorry onyx. That’s so stressful. I hope the unexplained bleeding stops happening. Sending much love your way!

WE FOUND SOMETHING
So we found that the end of my placenta is frayed and there is a pool of blood. Then we compared my anticonvulsants and they both cause blood disorders. So she thinks the combination is causing the bleeding. She’s testing me for thrombocytopenia and contacting my neurologist. But AT LEAST we could see where the bleeding was this time. I’m so glad they got me in instead of the ER. I feel like they would have missed it.

Omg what a terrible stressful ride onyx but thank goodness they finally found something and you have an answer! Will they change your meds? Can they do that?

Well, my labs came back that that isn’t the issue. Ugh.
But no I can’t change my meds either. I’m on the only two pregnancy safe anticonvulsants. If I change I would have seizures.
I am praying the high risk doctor has better insight.
