Weeks Pregnant: 16
Baby is the Size of a: dill pickle
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM
Appointments: 3/2
How are you feeling? Honestly, I’m not ok. I’ve been to the ER twice, and a check up, I have a Doppler and can easily find her heartbeat. I know she is fine and the bleeding is “normal”. But it is torture and incredibly triggering and terrifying. Knowing that they won’t do anything for another 4 weeks if, God forbid, anything happens it’s mortifying for me. I’m on pelvic rest, which, while worth it, still sucks. I feel otherwise phenomenal. It’s just the bleeding & mental health that is a major issue. I’m talking to my therapist regularly and she’s great but reality is she can’t fix it. Just teach coping mechanisms which yes is great. Idk I really thought I would feel absolutely peachy and not worry anymore once I hit second trimester, but apparently that isn’t the case.
Rants/raves? See above basically lol
GTKY: what are you craving, if anything, right now? I’ve been loving cauliflower with EVOO, salt, pepper. Lemon juice and thyme cooked in my air fryer.

Big hugs onyx. Bleeding really messes with the mind. Sending you lots of love and prayers.

Weeks Pregnant: 15
Baby is the Size of a: pear
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM
Appointments: 3/2 and anatomy scan on 3/29
How are you feeling? I’m feeling more like myself with the exception of being really exhausted! My nausea has gone away but I’m still eating very little. I haven’t gained anything yet and I’m still down the 6 pounds I lost due to the nausea. Everyday is a little better though! I’m still so nervous too- my loss history has made this emotionally difficult, but I’m working through it. I’m so happy to have made it this far.
Rants/raves? Not this week
GTKY: what are you craving, if anything, right now? Really nothing. This baby doesn’t seem to like food at all! The only things that I’ve consistently been able to eat is very cold fruit.

Weeks pregnant: 17
Baby is the size of a: pear
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: gestational surrogate
Appointments: finally rescheduled to 2/23 with OB. Then anatomy scan 3/19.
How are you feeling? I’m physically feeling pretty good still other than the constipation issue. I’m going stir crazy and really need to get back outside for walks before I lose my mind. Just need this snow to melt a little more.
Rants/raves: I’m really worried about my weight gain thus far. I’m in healthcare but I office at home and between that, the weather, lack of having a good in home exercise routine I am concerned. I need to not weigh myself and just do my best and rely on OB to just tell me if they’re concerned.
GTKY: what are you craving, if anything, right now? I’m eating a ton of sweet pickles and bread and butter pickles. I also make the same side salad every night with my dinner and it tastes sooo good to me. I really want some fruit kolaches but that’s a Czech TX thing and I can’t find them in Oklahoma. I’m going to have my mom bring me some up next weekend.

Weeks Pregnant: 17w 1d
Baby is the Size of a: pomegranate/ video game controller
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM
Appointments: Anatomy scan on Thursday, 2/25, and then 20 week appt will be March 11, I think
How are you feeling? Eh. The nausea has been back. It's off and on. I think the acid reflux is what's triggering it, that's where my nausea mostly stems from, I think. I hate it so much. Also the end of the work week is the worst, because it seems like when I am tired and have been moving around all week, my SPD really flares up. I am not even halfway, so it's not looking good for the rest of the pregnancy.
Rants/raves? I am our lab's software main user, and we are doing a big upgrade... probably in August. Woof. So, I am training a coworker to take over for me, and he is more than capable, but there is just an impossible amount of info to know, and not enough time to go over all of it (especially since doing it requires us both being off the bench). It's taken me years to accumulate that knowledge. I know if anyone can do it, he can, it's just going to be a lot. I feel bad, but they sprung this on us and I had no idea until last month. Not that I would have changed our timeline anyway.
GTKY: what are you craving, if anything, right now? Ice cream! I ordered a lot of Jeni's ice cream pints via mail and it was pricey but totally worth it. I may have some tonight.

Weeks Pregnant: 13 Baby is the Size of a: lemon FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: 4TM Appointments: NT scan Tuesday How are you feeling? My main symptom recently is exhaustion which worries my PGAL brain Rants/raves? thatgolfb I’m a little worried about when I will be out too. I’m in accounting and our year end is 9/30 followed by a month long audit. Normally I only take 8 weeks off for maternity leave but I decided I want to take the full time this time so I potentially won’t go back until the end of October. I haven’t told my boss yet that I’m pregnant so I’m sure he’s going to freak out. GTKY: what are you craving, if anything, right now? Mexican food but I always love it. Salads and carrots with ranch are also my go tos recently

sarahh if I have baby on my due date (7/29), I will be out till mid November. I assume it will actually be early November, because my babies have both come 38-39 weeks, and I plan to be induced at 39 weeks. I’m super fortunate to be in CA where I get 6 weeks post partum disability leave plus up to 12 weeks family leave (mine is unpaid). I plan to take 10 of those weeks and save 2 for some other time within the baby’s first year. So 16 weeks right after birth, longer if for some reason I end up needing a C section. I am taking the full amount possible, and I’m definitely fortunate that we can afford for me to take unpaid leave.

I just had my anatomy scan and everything looked good! With my precious two, I had to return for more pics. This one cooperated!
