We usually have two wake ups; one around midnight or so and one around 4am. Except the last three nights he's been up A LOT more. The only I wasn't up with him in some capacity last night was 4am,and the wake up rapage started at 10:30. I'm dying. Oh my, I hope it's a very brief phase for him! And in the meantime, coffee āāā

Like waking every 1-2 hours and taking a while to fall asleep. He finally slept his normal schedule last night (one wakeup at 2) so hopefully we're on the tail end of his horrible sleep.

Sorry for the crap sleep. Functioning after nights like that is so tough.
We've only had all our students back in person for one week and I'm tired. Compassion fatigue is real. I have done suicide assessments on a fifth grader and SECOND grader this week, and had a fourth grade girl share she's been cutting. Glad tomorrow's Friday.

I'm sorry for the tough first week back with kids fem. It's a really hard time for everyone but I truly think we've glossed over kids mental health through all of this in a big way.

The baby is on his second wake up now, which I thought "yay, only two tonight!" But it's been an hour and two botched crib transfers and I just want to go back to bed.

We have a king bed and after a few wake-ups she just sleeps with us and I scoot way over by my husband. I know it's not 'safe', but we so have the Owlet sock which gives me some peace of mind and honestly it's just to be able to function the next day.

He passed out side lie nursing and I managed to move him to Halo bassinet that we haven't bothered to take down to the basement yet.

Sorry for the rough nights cnf, femC was feeling really warm and sweaty all day yesterday. She often sweats at night. I've never taken her temperature because she doesn't act unwell but I decided to take it yesterday. It was 37.4 (99.3F) in her armpit, which, according to different websites is either normal or fever. I put her in a short-sleeved shirt for the afternoon and took her temp again before her bath, still 37.4. So I gave her Tylenol, just in case, and she wasn't sweaty in the morning like she usually is. Makes me wonder if she has a low-grade fever causing the sweating? I'm probably overthinking it. I know armpit temps aren't always accurate.

How's everybody doing?
I think H is working on 2 more teeth already.
We took the big girls ice skating this weekend, before it's 40 next week and the rinks melt.
February is my least favorite month, I want spring.
That's all I got. š

We're doing good! C is consistently sleeping through the night now (usually 630pm to 7am) so my husband and I are feeling amazing. She is trying desperately to sit up on her own but not working as hard on rolling. She's babbling the da da da sound. Loves eating solids.
It's warming up here this week so I am really looking forward to some nicer weather!

We're hanging in there. Still no teeth and still waking 2-3x a night on the regular, so I'm sleepy a lot. He's crushing food and loves everything. Rolls both directions and can sit in a tripod for about 2-10 seconds, but he can't get himself to sitting yet.

cnf that's a good description of where we are on sitting too. We've done some food, but she's kind of indifferent. Also one day she pooped like 6 times and had one weird green/stringy (sorry) diapers so we've stopped for a few days now. ETA: Still crap sleep here too.

We're finally doing good here. We ended up having to sleep train because he went over a month of waking up every 1-2 hours and scream/crying when he did wake up. But Monday night was our first night and he has done great!!!

I'm in quarantine...
I taught ONE classroom lesson so far in K on Tuesday, and a kid in there tested positive. I can test Sunday (5 days after exposure) and if it comes back negative go back.
I'm halfway vaccinated, was only in the room 20 minutes, and was up front of the class and they were in their desks. So not very worried.
Good news is my kids can still go to daycare/school. I'm currently 'working' from the bathtub. My laundry will all get done and my house cleaned. So all in all not too much of a hardship, except I feel guilty I'm not at school when it's so crazy.

Sorry about your quarantine. Sounds like your exposure was low. I'm getting my first shot tomorrow and I'm excited even though I already had covid. I feel a little bad about it, but NY is using teacher vaccine data to help with reopening and I also feel bad being a constant NO when they compile the data.

fem sorry about the quarantine! That's so crazy it happened after only one day of teaching in person. It must be so mentally draining to be a teacher right now. I hope you stay well š¤ shesellscshells I hope your family's quarantine goes well, too! My oldest starts K next fall and I am not looking forward to the yo-yo of virtual/in-person school... I don't know what exactly it's going to look like for him but I doubt any of us will have been vaccinated by then.

My oldest is in K this year and it's not very fun doing hybrid for such a little kid who has no prior school expectations like that. She loves school but the at home days she whines and acts so put upon about doing the work. It stinks. I know here in NY they're basically saying yes we'll be full time in the fall but with masks and cleaning still, but obviously that's not a certainty. Hopefully things are better by September for everyone.

Hopefully things are better by September for everyone. They're saying it'll be full time regular school in the fall but yeah, who knows if it'll actually turn out that way or what the protocol will be for quarantining every time someone has been in a contact with a known case... I do hope it's all around better than this year, though. I do not envy the kids who had to start school amidst such craziness and uncertainty!

DS1 is home from school on exposure-based quarantine, so starting today, all the kidsā appointments and his school are virtual for the next 10-14 days. Whee! Hereās hoping everyone stays symptom free so we can return to ānormalā again after this. Sorry you guys have to quarantine also! Can't believe it's been almost a year of this.

God damn I wish this kid slept at night.
He's six months now so I'm contemplating sending the girls to my parent's house for a few nights and sleeping training. Ughhhhh, hate. Just sleep you little jerk baby.

Just sleep you little jerk baby. Absolute worst. Hattie had a rough night too. My BIL and SIL had a baby a month after us. They can just set her in get bruh, she falls asleep on her own and sleeps all night. I sometimes hope she's a terror of a toddler it something because it's not fair. In other news my whole school is back to distance learning for 2 weeks. But my test was negative and my 2nd vaccine is Thursday.

Iām glad your test was negative, fem! Pretty much the entire family is sick now. DS1 and I went for covid testing today. The results should be back in 3-5 days (but possibly as soon as 24-48 hours), so hopefully weāll know one way or the other if thatās what the family is dealing with. If it is I hope it stays mild for you guys. Parenting while sick is the worst.
