I'm gonna continue to complain about sleep. On the one hand he actually sleeps better than my other two did. But on the other hand he's so damn inconsistent. Like we'll go through these spurts where sleep is improving, he has a nice pattern going, then next thing I know I can't put him down and he's waking up 5x a night. I feel like I'm constantly "working" at his sleep then as soon as it's where it should be and I can relax it just slips right back again.
So aside from that rant lol. G has 1 tooth. Loves basically every single food with the exception of eggs. He still doesn't crawl on hands and knees, but he zooms all around the house so I don't think he really cares lol. He's starting to pull up on stuff, not like all the way up, but a good little start. He's also babbling non stop.

danib wow I’m sorry. I take it you’re not a CIO sleep training person? I am, but totally understand that it’s a very personal choice. DH has been encouraging Ben to walk lately with his little push walker and I tell him he’s insane. We do not need an 8 month old walker. I continue to be lazy about solid food, so he doesn’t get a ton some days, but also still no teeth yet. Still dealing with some eczema and he poops in the bath regularly, which is the grossest thing ever Oh, I’d also love to see pictures!

sdlaura no we don't do CIO. Even if I wanted to, little guy doesn't even have his own bedroom until we buy the new house lol. He sleeps in my bed with me so I wouldn't be able to leave him because he could crawl off. I dont automatically nurse him though, unless it's been a solid few hours since his last feed, but even that hasn't stretched his sleep (or it does temporarily but then he goes back again). DS2 walked at a little over 9 months. It was cute but oh so stressful lol. Do not recommend.

Also this kid can spot a speck of dirt a mile away. And he's across the room with it in his mouth before you even know what's happening. And it's like wrestling a baby crocodile trying to get it out lol

danib sleep is not great here either. We let her fuss her self to sleep at first but then when she wakes up usually at 1 she cries until I feed her. I’ve tried letting her fuss but it just escalates until she’s screaming. I think she is close to getting some teeth on the bottom. Her gums are swollen. We are still dairy and egg free. Peds GI said we could try to introduce at 9 months but I had a dairy slip 2 weeks ago and it was not pretty so I don’t think she is going to be ready in a month. She loves almost all foods so far except carrots. I’ve started giving her pieces of what we are eating as long as it is dairy/egg free. Shes not crawling in her hands and knees but army crawls pretty much anywhere she wants to go. We have a small step from our living room into the kitchen and she even made it up that last evening.

E is 7 months and rolls wherever she wants to go. She is pushing up on hands and knees a lot now though. Still no teeth, I try to give her baby food or soft foods once a day but her tastes of food don’t even amount to a bite and she makes sour faces and gags. It’s not pleasant. I’m not forcing the issue though. She’ll eat if she wants to. She sleeps like a champ. By far my best sleeper. She takes one long several hour nap during the day and one short one. She rarely fusses when laid down. It’s a nice change from my oldest who screamed for the first two years of his life and still struggles with falling asleep at 7 years old. My second fell asleep easier but still required lots of holding or rocking at her age. She just falls asleep for the most part. She still startles super easy but she is laid back and calm and is just the most insanely easy baby.

danib, having a little who doesn't sleep regularly is such a pain. DS1 wasn't the most regular sleeper. Once he was asleep he did well but it was such work to get him to sleep and he never had a great sleep schedule. I'm glad he is a good eater! He is adorable! sdlaura, your husband must really want to chase a little around! Why do men insist on trying to push babies to new milestones? Let them be babies, my goodness! I love his big grin!! magaroni, E isn't crawling either but she manages with rolling (finally). I'm sorry about the teething. Fussiness is the worst. Hopefully the dairy/egg allergy resolves soon. She has beautiful eyes!!

Radley I completely agree and was just discussing with a friend how men like to push milestones! Whether it’s crib transitions, turning the car seat, etc. Let’s just enjoy our little crawler guy a little longer.

We’re still waking a couple times per night here. Naps have gotten better for the most part though so there’s that at least. Milos a crawling machine and getting into everrrrrrything. But he’s generally a happy lil dude and is so silly and fun. He is obsessed with eating. He will eat anything. If we have food, he wants it. Which is nice but also annoying lol.

H is crawling like crazy and getting super fast. Poor G, lol he sits there on his hands and knees and rocks a few times and just watches while H follows big brother around. You can tell G wants to do it so badly but can't figure it out yet. I'm guessing in the next 2 weeks or so, he'll start scooting around. I can't believe they will be 10 months next week. So crazy.

Wow 10 months willow . Time is definitely flying I know! It's so crazy. You'd think being locked up in a pandemic would make it seem longer, but maybe having our hands doubly full plus a 4.5 year old helped keep crazy going to make it seem faster? haha. Now time will only seem to even quicker when we can eventually, you know, take them out in public. It is interesting to me that these babies will be toddlers before they will have ever set foot in a public place that isn't a doctor's office.

I've thought how crazy it is that G has seen masks in public his whole life. But never thought about those of you in places where things need to be more cautious. Like we've been to the mall, restaurants, etc. We're actually in lockdown again as of today because we have community spread with no known source for the first time since this all started.

I can't believe there is just now a community spread without a known source! That is impressive. But yeah, it sucks. The babies have been to our house, the doctor, and my parents house. That's it, aside from outdoor walks and stuff of course. I can't wait to see what they think of the rest of the world, like malls and Target and stuff someday. I'm sure they will be like "Whoa, there is a whole world." haha.

I had a whole thing typed up the other day and my phone ate it so I needed a minute before having to retype it all up.
V is 7 months and a proficient crawler. She pulls herself up to stand all the time and is constantly getting into things she isn’t supposed to be. Her new favorite game is turning the Xbox on and off repeatedly. She is just starting to cruise along furniture, so I know it’s just a matter of time before she tries letting go.
She just got her very first tooth today, which accounts for the snotty nose the last few days. She doesn’t particularly like eating still. I bought a new straw cup today to try at supper tonight and yogurt melts. I need to diversify her food so that she eventually will eat anything. I’m lazy mom when it comes to food.
She still sleeps like garbage, up multiple times a night. She starts in the crib at least so that’s fine. Speaking of the crib, last weekend I had taken it apart to move the mattress down and ended up busting a hole in the side. It’s an ikea crib I bought for my first so we’ve gotten a lot of use out of it at least. So I ended up buying a new crib from target ($125) because there wasn’t much on fb marketplace. We will use this one for a few years and then sell it.

trtlcrzy I am lazy about food too. I read the article about toxic chemicals in baby food last week which sort of freaked me out so I ordered a month of Yumi delivery since I figure the babies will only be using it for another couple months before I just feed them mostly anything of normal food. I'm grateful that their nanny and MIL (who also nannies part time for them) take time to make food for them during the day lol.

Woof. These previously angel babies when it comes to sleep have both hit the 9/10 month regression hardcore. They didn’t go through a 4 month one so I was hoping we’d get lucky. Nope. And they seem to enjoy alternating which one is up each night. I keep trying to do CIO but my H keeps caving and going in to rock which has now made it worse.
So now it’s 1am and I’m trying to stick it out this time. Fuck this sucks so much more with two babies and them having to share a room.

I developed a milk blister on one of my nips the other day. I popped it last night with a needle (yeah I know, bad idea). The milk inside was thick like cream and I had to squeeze it kind of like a zit. Very weird. Now it’s super sore and I don’t like it it hurt to nurse last night and pumping this morning isn’t great.

Hahah they have been like this for a few weeks. *sob* I forgot how much this regression sucks after months of good sleep. I’m hoping they get over it soon. G screamed for 45 min and finally fell asleep for the rest of the night so I am hoping it gets better from here.

Not with me at work. I have triple antibiotic ointment at home though. That could work. Polysporin is recommended because it's safe if you forget to wipe it off before nursing/pumping.

I just remembered that I have some prescribed nipple cream from when I had thrush I wonder if that would work. It’s compounded but I can’t remember what all is in it off the top of my head.
