Weeks Pregnant: 12!
Baby is the Size of a: lime
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM
Appointments: 2/4
How are you feeling? SO much better reference the flu. I have been getting headaches though. Not covid or anything related, been having them since they switched one of my seizure meds. So I’m over that.
Rants/raves? Quarantine sucks. As necessary as I know it is. Mh is 100% better, thank goodness. Although, because we are quarantined and DS1&2 are at their dads until we are out, I will miss DS2 first day of VPK. Several tears have been shed about this.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I like running, kayaking, crafting, journaling, gardening. My husband says I’m a plant because I need to be outside or I get depressed.

Weeks Pregnant: 11 weeks today
Baby is the Size of a: large strawberry
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM
Appointments: ultrasound and appointment on 2/4
How are you feeling? Not great. The phenergan helps me sleep through the night but the nausea is still so bad. I can’t take it during the day because it literally knocks me out and I have 5 kids here daily for homeschooling. I’m debating calling my ob to see what else I can do. I’m down now 6 pounds and I just can barely eat or drink anything. Popsicles have been my best friend.
Rants/raves? I’m so incredibly grateful to still be pregnant. The nausea will be worth it for this rainbow. I’m also thankful for DH who has really helped since I’ve been so sick lately.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I’m a crafter. I taught myself how to knit last spring. I also crochet. I get a lot of inspiration from Pinterest. I also love to cook and bake which has made this nausea really unwanted! We also play a lot of games as a family.

I’m glad you’re feeling better onyx. I’m sorry you’re other kids are with their dad in the meantime. That’s not easy.

Weeks pregnant? 13 today
Baby is the size of a: lemon
FTM/ STM/TTM, etc: gestational surrogate
Appointments: had one yesterday at high risk doc. Next OB is 2/15.
How are you feeling? I got my second vaccine dose yesterday and I’m feeling pretty rough today from that. Overall I’m feeling quite a bit better. I’m worried about my weight gain thus far so I’ve been trying to get more active.
Rants/raves: not much - just happy it’s almost the weekend.
GTKY: what are your hobbies? I love being outdoors in nature and especially hiking. I can’t wait until DD is older and we can do more of that without hauling her on our backs. I also love to read. I used to run and want to get back into it after this pregnancy.

onyx I’m sorry. I can empathize.. my DS was covid positive in early Nov and due to the way our custody schedule fell when he was exposed, he ended up quarantining the whole time with his dad. It was hard to be away from him for so long. Hope the time passes quickly for you guys.

Weeks Pregnant: 13w 1d
Baby is the Size of a: clownfish (lol)
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM
Appointments: Nothing till 2/11
How are you feeling? Not great. My nausea is worse this week than it was last week and I am just so over it. My SPD is already flaring up.
Rants/raves? I don't know how I feel so big and yet have gained no weight. I guess my body has just... changed shape? I am not complaining, but like... people are noticing my belly. I can tell I am being sized up and people are wondering but not asking, lol. Most of my coworkers know because I finally made a social media announcement. A rave- I am feeling flutters. I didn't believe they were real at first because it's so early, but they have been pretty consistent. Tiny, but consistent!
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? When not pregnant, working out is a big hobby of mine. I usually work out about 5 times per week. Since week 5 of this pregnancy, though, I haven't been physically able to, either due to nausea, or due to the already painful SPD. Another 26+ weeks of this will be difficult. I also enjoy reading (which hasn't happened much lately either, because my attention span is low), and watching TV and movies (this has happened more than anything else lately!)

Weeks Pregnant: 9
Baby is the Size of a: cherry
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: 4TM
Appointments: 2/2 - financial and OB
How are you feeling? Still pretty nauseous except when I’m eating. I’m still pretty crampy which has my PGAL brain going nuts. I actually scheduled an elective ultrasound for today to ease my mind so hopefully everything is fine
Rants/raves? More a question - is anyone else taking progesterone? I’m taking the oral version. I wonder if that is causing some of my cramps and bloating
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? I honestly don’t have any. It used to be traveling. We bought a pop up camper last spring and used it quite a bit last year so maybe that would be one. Between working full time, 3 kids 5 and under and a husband who started his own business and works all the time, I rarely get any time to myself. My guilty pleasure was crappy tv after the kids went to bed but now most nights I’m asleep either before them or at the same time (around 8 😂)

Weeks Pregnant: 10 today
Baby is the Size of a: top of a tootsie pop
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM
Appointments: 1/28 I have an appointment with the geneticist for genetic testing. No OB until 2/11
How are you feeling? Tired and nauseous all the time. Mornings are usually better for me. By the time dinner time rolls around I’m a hot mess.
Rants/raves? I was really hoping the anxiety would start to go away after I passed my loss milestone. So far it’s still pretty high and I’m constantly worried about another loss. Raves- H has really stepped it up and is helping as much as he can.
GTKY: What are some of your hobbies? As of now I feel like my hobbies are sleeping and watching tv in a haze. Before it was gardening, exercising, reading, crafting- making blankets, cross stitch, crochet. I haven’t been able to workout in weeks, I know I’d feel better if I could get even a small workout in but I just don’t have the energy/nausea makes it really hard.

mrspants my husband will retest on 1/29 and as long as he is negative they can come home. How is everyone’s appetite? I feel like this pregnancy I can’t figure out how to eat. First, I have a huge aversion to meat. I don’t eat much meat to begin with but I made chicken last night and had to throw it out. But also, I’m starving (like shaking, feeling like I could pass out starving) like every 45-hour, but can only nibble. So I feel like I’m just snacking 24/7. I don’t remember being this way with my other pregnancies. Not enjoying it at all. It’s like my hunger is insatiable.

sarahh fx for a great scan! mrspants I haven’t figured out the anxiety either. I keep thinking I’ll pass a milestone and it’ll go away and so far no luck. Fx it passes for you soon ❤️ And to everyone who misses working out. Same. I feel like if I could get myself up to do any exercise I would feel better or get back into the swing of it. Trying to tell myself that will happen in second tri. (Which YAY is in 5 days!)

onyx I’m struggling with appetite too. I’m trying to eat healthier now that I’m feeling a little better from the nausea. I still have to be careful to eat protein in the mornings and eat at regular intervals or I start to feel bad/shaky. One of the items on my agenda today is to make some of my peanut butter protein balls to grab as a quick snack. First trimester was a struggle and I was constantly eating since that seemed to help, plus just laying around since I felt like crap all the time. I’m not happy at all with the weight gain so far. I’m really trying to get my activity level up.

The elective ultrasound went good. Baby was moving around and had a strong heartbeat. I was a little annoyed they they couldn’t tell me the heart rate but it sounded fast enough. I guess I’ll have to wait for my OB appointment a week from Tuesday to get the actual heart rate.

onyx I’m glad I’m not alone with the anxiety. My OB is great and said he’ll get me in anytime I need reassurance but I’m trying to make it the full 4 weeks. I have a Doppler but again I’m nervous to not find the heartbeat. I keep clinging to the fact that I almost always feel crummy and no spotting as good signs.

Anyone have recommendations for maternity pants that are longer and comfy nursing bras? My regular stuff will not last much longer for me this time.

onyx eating is so hard. The reglan helps me eat, but I have a lot of aversions. And the aversions change with the wind. I will buy groceries and then the next day, I’m like... what was I thinking???? Lmao. I basically just try to eat as soon as I feel like eating something. It’s been a lot of toaster waffles with PB, fruit (at least that’s healthy), and crackers.

When does second tri start? Am I in second tri at 13w 2d?
You’d think I would know this after 2 other kids, but I never know when the tris are separated.

I’m laughing at this and your screen name. 😂 What kind of pants are you looking for? Work pants? I know many people are WFH so maybe that isn’t necessary, but I think Loft has tall sizes and I like their maternity work pants a lot (I have been in maternity pants since 7 weeks 😩). And I am not tall so I don’t know if I have tall pants recs. Lol.

sarahh FWIW I asked my OB about cramping because I feel very #new with this pregnancy and I am feeling so many twinges and cramps. She said they were all totally normal, if there is no bleeding. Painful ones we should be keeping and eye on, and it never hurts to call the nurse line if you’re worried. But yeah- our bodies change shape and move entire organs around which is crazy and weird and makes the cramping make more sense.

thatgolfb I didn’t even make the connection to my sn. 😂😂 and I think 2nd Tri starts at week 13. I don’t need work pants just a pair or two of jeans to get me to spring when I can start wearing shorts again. My DD will tell me as soon as I pick her up from school I need to go home and change into my pj pants - they are the only things that aren’t tight on my stomach. 🤣

mrspants I got a couple pairs of Madewell jeans this time around, a black one I wear weekly for work, and a dark wash pair for weekends. I really like them; they are super comfy. Definitely pricey for a pair of jeans we won’t wear for a long time, but I figured since I will be wearing them pretty much every week for the next 26 or so weeks, it was worth it.

Well, I spent my morning in the ER. Woke up bleeding, got in the car to go to the ER. Standing in line and for Covid screening I had a rush of blood that went through my pad, clothes, and down my legs. They rushed me back and did a pelvic exam. My cervix is closed. Baby is looking perfect. Heart rate the two times the checked were 156 & 162. So it’s likely the SCH. They didn’t do a vaginal to confirm because they felt it was too invasive. So now I’m on bed rest until I see my OB which they recommended one day but as y’all know isn’t possible because MH has Covid.
Seeing that much blood seriously sent me over a mental health ledge.

mrspants I really like the target brand actually. I like the high panel in the front but that theirs are low in the back. Makes me not die of heat in this Florida weather.

When do you think you’ll be able to go in to your OB? I have a message in with them so I don’t know for sure, but my husband is out of quarantine on 1/29 and my next scheduled appointment is 2/4. So I’m not sure what they’ll do, if they’ll move it up or just wait.
