I worked on our financial spreadsheet for hours today and it’s depressing AF. And covid student loan forbearance ends next week. Yay. Charlotte, I think one of the executive orders Biden just signed pushed forbearance out to Sept 30.

PDQ - I might poof some details.
I am vacillating wildly these days between - I'm a boss bitch who is nailing working, solo parenting, and life. And - I can barely get out of bed and I scream at my kids all the time and life is unbearable.
My divorce should be finalized in the next few weeks so it will be nice to have that no longer looming over me.
I'm starting EMDR with my therapist to work through some CPTSD stuff.
I'm dating a super great guy. We only see each other on my kid free weekends but we talk every day. I have no expectations that anything serious will come of it but it's nice to be treated like and equal and we're enjoying getting to know one another.
I want to ask my psych about taking me off my anti-anxiety meds because I don't think they are doing anything. I suspect she will recommend upping my dose and not discontinuing it.

Finally, finally I'm getting somewhere with getting ADHD medication. I did the evaluation almost a year ago, and then Covid hit, and apparently the therapist who did my eval didn't send a copy to my Primary care office, which does the prescribing. And then he retired because of the pandemic, and I just let it go by the wayside because things were so stressful in general and it was hard enough to get it together to make the appointment and go to the evaluation and talk to my dr about meds without extra hurdles. I finally reached out back to my Dr a couple of weeks ago, which thankfully now has an online message portal, and got in touch with someone else in the retired therapist's office and finally got them to send the form over. So hey, I might actually get meds before I start my new job!

rhymeswithdisco you are going through so much right now. And you are honestly kicking ass. And you know what? I’m going through a lot less and some days *I* can’t get out of bed and scream at my kids and shit. Life is hard man. And it’s all hitting you sideways at once. But you’ve gone through some shit and come through the other side like one bad ass mamajama. And with a killer nail game to boot. Dadgum lady. So you do what you need to do. Up your meds. Lower your meds. Change your meds. Listen to your body and listen to your docs and continue to rock out with your cock out.

Blah. I have a fever and body aches. I am going to get a covid test tomorrow if I’m still having symptoms.

Dramaphile , IDK why they make shit so difficult for us ADHD folks to get the help we need. Like, my doctors office only answers the phone like 3 hours out of the day. I constantly forget to call them while they're open for those 3 hours and then for like a week after, then remember, then miss the window again. Argh!

Are you feeling better today? I am so far! Fx it was a fluke. DH had a fluke like that two weeks ago. Suddenly he was all stuffy and achy and bundled himself under blankets. I was supposed to go out to a socially distanced event, but the only way that DH would have caught anything would have been through me and the person that I was visiting was high risk. So I had to cancel. The next day DH was 100% fine.

My friend who has been having mysterious neuro and immune issues all of 2020 now has covid. She and her kids have gone nowhere for months; no school, no playgrounds, nothing. Except her appointments; which last week involved a bunch of mouth stuff. I feel so bad and mad and worried for her.
And slight confession; it also makes me worried for my dad since he is kind of in the same boat and only goes to appointments at the same hospital (he's there today). (Not that I think the hospital neglected precautions, its a top hospital in the world...CV just sucks ass).
