I had a phone consult with 2 different therapists to work with B. Now I need to pick one and I don't know how to do that! This is so hard. I'm sure they are both qualified. So you just need to pick which one you think B will actually listen to, lol. LOL That's the tough part. They said they work with the kid but then basically "train" MH and I to get through to him.

jewels , can you look up reviews for them? I did. I had trouble finding much. One was recommended by my pedi, so that's good. I found the other recommended on our local facebook group. The first one I have to travel to (about 20 minutes away). The second one will come to our home, b/c she said it's better to work with kids in their comfortable environment. I like the 2nd one. Especially if they are going to “train” you and YH. Being in the home environment they are more likely to see some of the issues and problems you guys have and be able to better address in a real life scenario.

lfig, I think that's the way I am leaning. I'm just struggling b/c the pedi was adamant that I see the first one. She didn't even give me a 2nd name. But for all I know they could be bffs lol. vino I didn't meet either of them in person, just over the phone. Both seemed nice and have tons of experience, but it's hard to say who he'd gel with better

I read the Magic Hour by her, which I really enjoyed, so I bought this one as well. It's pretty good. I think I spent so much time reading for work last year that I didn't read anything for pleasure. I'm changing that this year. I love reading too much.

I dropped J at school and went to get bows from my bow lady. MJ got car sick on the way and vomited everywhere. But we had to go to the pedi for well checks for her and M. So I cleaned her up and changed her clothes. But her seat was another story.. half a pack of wipes and you couldn't even tell I tried. So she rode in J's booster.... luckily I was close. So I got there, it went quick, then got M to school and home to clean my car.. which reeks.. my mom grabbed J for me so I didn't have time drive with her like that for any longer. I brought her seat in the house and the dogs cleaned up the solids for me lol. I took it apart and washed it.
We're about to go grab M from the bus. Then I need to scrub my car seat. And I'm going to vacuum it while I'm at it.

School has to be virtual again tomorrow because it’s will be back under freezing tonight and a high chance of black ice in the morning. MH is taking off so I can go to work.

Hiiiii. It's been a day - some fires to put out at work, found out my in laws are putting an offer on a new build the next town over, and talked to my Mom and admitted to avoiding them because I feel guilty about not being able to visit my Dad but not being willing to take the risk. I also found out that my oldest friend's Mom is going into hospice care, which is actually what got me to have the conversation with my Mom in the first place.
On a more positive note, Colin went back to hybrid this week and was SO happy at the end of the day.
Unrelated, my friend is being induced on Wednesday. I am both excited and sad because who even knows when I will meet him? I think even going to MA requires a quarantine at this point, not that we've been strict enough to see a newborn.
Also I find out about my raise/bonus on Thursday and any extra funds will be in my check on Friday. Hopefully we get something, the bank is practically printing money at this point, but you never know.

Also to clarify, my ILs moving closer is a good thing. They probably won't be moved until the holidays at the earliest, but it'll be great to have them so close.

jewels,im glad you have options. Is B more receptive to listening at home or in a different setting? I’d lean toward the latter for convenience, but I think it has to be where he’ll focus best.

That’s an interesting question. I don’t know if he’s more receptive in one place or another. He will usually listen to me, but he struggles a lot w MH. And some days with his teachers, although he’s been doing better lately. He really struggles when he just doesn’t want to do something at all. He can’t get past himself to realize if he just did it he’d be done and onto what he wants to do. Well, that and shitting his pants.

Cadence's school has requested that all kids be remote the rest of the week. Teachers had to call each of their f2f students to see if it was possible for them to stay home. Cadence is 100% remote so it doesn't effect her, but... Damn it, Austin, wear your masks or stay home! It's very simple! You're screwing with all these kids right now!

I took this pic this morning while drinking some hot chocolate because it made me think of flamingo ! Well that is just lovely on multiple levels! PS: I'm a horrible HIH'er, just swamped the last week or so. New roof starts tomorrow so hopefully by the end of the week life will have calmed down. Hope everyone is well!
