whispers - these are chores guster lol I always looked at chores as something they had to do, maybe for an allowance, maybe because it was just a rule of the house. I just ask for help if I need it while I’m doing things. We’re more like this too. You’re a part of the household so you help out.

Totally random, but what chores do you have your kids doing these days? If you have chores for your younger kids, please list those with their ages, too. I need to update mine. Cleaning off the table of their dishes, they help with drying dishes, help make their lunches, I always do a load of laundry at night and it's in a basket in the hallway between their rooms for them to put away in the AM, get ready including brushing teeth, put away all toys/clean up room/desk before bed, switch over the laundry if they're downstairs playing, empty out backpacks from the day (when they're away for the day). I'm sure there's more..... I'm a little OCD about making beds, so I do them all otherwise I'd be getting them to make them in the AM.

Charlie’s is against the wall and particularly tricky.

Grab their ankles, pull them into a laying position, place your finger against the nostril that isnt plugged, put your mouth over theirs (much like CPR) and blow hard into their mouth, VOILA! it pops right out. Do it quickly so they have no idea what is going to happen and before you know it, it's done.

After lunch I laid in bed to read, woke up 3 hours later to take Cadence to swim. Oops.

I’m back. I had time to stop home. I just called and stated the registration for Charlie for kindergarten. I can’t believe he’s of age. Any other 2016-ers going? S will be! Registration here doesn’t open until feb tho.

Morning. I am going to the furniture store in a little bit. I’m going to make a decision and order a sofa. DH wants to order pizza tonight from a local pizza shop. I’m fine with that, except the shop is in the middle of town in a very inconvenient place. I think Friday night is not a good time to order from there. Show us the sofa! I did not end up purchasing one yet. Bringing S with was a terrible idea. Halfway through the store she decided she was tired of walking and whined the rest of the time. I’m going to go back tomorrow morning.

L has to make sure his room and the living room are cleaned up of all toys before bed. E is starting to help. I kind of let it slide around the holidays because the tree blocks some stuff.
Starting this January if he does certain things at bad things at school he has to do more chore like things (pick up dog poop) to make up for his behavior. He had to do it already this week.

C and L help with the majority of tasks listed. No formal chore chart or anything though.

J is a 2015 baby but he was born after the cutoff of August 1st. So he starts K in the fall. Even if he made the cutoff, we would of waited a year. He needed the time to mature. But I can not wait for both to be in school 5 days. J will only be half day, but still. Its better that 3 half days and I won't have to transport anyone until MJ goes to preschool.
