I may sound like an asshole, but I don't care. I hope every legislator who has done what they can to deter any sort of common sense gun reform had a shit-their-pants moment yesterday like our school kids have felt over the past 2 decades but they didn't care. Like don't care that they were in danger/scared? Or that it happened in general? The whole images of them mobbing the outside and climbing on scaffolding is just so anti-democratic. The fact that this wasn't secured and these people just were let in basically and then let out into the streets is sickening to me. The fact that the BLM protests had the national guard on hand and the president wouldn't authorize backup is terrifying. The bombs found around the city is scary, what else might there be that hasn't been discover? Yes I don't agree with half the people that work there, but these are our national landmarks and the pictures of them sitting in desks running around are revolting. Maybe I'm more riled up bc I'm more exposed to it living close by and know people that work there, but I want these people to have consequences and I'm angry. People are taking notes, domestic and foreign, and that is even scarier.

People are taking notes, domestic and foreign, and that is even scarier. Don't care if I sound insensitive to the trauma legislators experienced who have actively worked against gun reform. I'm absolutely appalled and disgusted this whole thing happened and that many police officers were complicit. I feel for most of those impacted by this bold act of terrorism, but much like Trump and his cronies getting Covid, my sympathy for those who have actively worked against gun reform is lacking. Too many people don't care about major problems unless it directly impacts them. Too many legislators don't care about supporting common sense gun reform, even if it means protecting our school children if it will impact their pockets or voter support. Some of those same people might have suddenly cared yesterday when they were the ones in danger, but didn't give a shit about taking action when 5 year-olds were gunned down. When I saw pictures of congresspeople hiding behind anything they could it reminded me all of the images of school kids hiding from gunmen. I couldn't help but think about the direct tie that while I feel for most of those people and are relieved they are safe, some of those people have actively worked against protecting the safety of the American people and specifically school children. As far as Walrus Team 6 and all those assholes in the mob, I hope every one of them is prosecuted to the highest extent.

Hey. Not much to report over here, normal Thursday. inthekitty I agree. It sucks that for some people they don’t care unless it directly impacts them. I see it a lot with the response to covid too.

trtlcrzy I got your card last week and completely forgot to tell you! Your girls are so adorable. I’m one of three girls myself and it was so much fun. My dad was always extremely proud of his girl squad. Eta it was crowded in the one bathroom we had, my dad got up at six every morning to beat the crowds and I still do my makeup on the couch with a compact mirror, that habit never wore out .

I'm one of 4 girls and 2 of my sister's take FOREVER in the bathroom. I used to wake up super early and shower before them. Then I'd go back to sleep and finish getting ready in my room when I got back up!

Ha, I’m one of 4 girls and we did not have those bathroom problems. I think that is probably because of how spread out in ages we are. I appreciate all of them more now that we are adults.

My middle sister and I are close in age (2.5 year apart) my youngest sister and I are almost 7 years apart, but for most years all of us had to be at school between 08.15-08.30 & my parents had to go to work. The one bathroom (that included the only toilet) was for sure busy 😂.
