Maybe he wrecks and Randall Comes to get him? Ok might be far fetched. Lolol haha. When the scene first started I was thinking Randall was gonna go to be with Madison when she delivered. Then I remembered he's in New Orleans. So, similar thought pattern I had that thought process too. I thought he was going to turn the car around and drive to Cali! Lol. But then I realized covid.

Man this episode was heavy. I'm dealing with a lot emotionally right now and I was just crying through the whole thing basically. What an unbelievably tragic story that Laurel has. Ugh. I do find it odd that she never tried to find William but I also know it was a lot harder to find people until 15 or so years ago. If William had no phone, really the only way to contact him would have been through some kind of paper or PI or traveling there herself which would have been hard with no money.
I do wonder about her family's fortune though. She was obviously living with her Aunt and then inherited her house/land but what about her parents? Did she ever go back to them? I mean I assume their land was close to her aunt since she was able to walk there as a small child. So does that mean that Randall also inherits whatever her family's fortune was? I wonder if they'll address that. I have to imagine her parents eventually knew.

I liked this episode too. I love that Randall found some peace. I cried when he said now he knows he had two birth parents who loved him.
The scenes for next week, however, were so predictable and cliche. I agree with others that car scenes like that always make me expect a crash.

I was very hesitant with the Laurel story and I will say after last night I think it fit well. I was happy they ended it with one episode and didn't drag it out like normal.

When Randall asked what year she got out, Hai said 1985, and he flashed to himself at that age- that tore me up.
I assume Laurel was really beat down after 5 years in prison. I understand why she didn’t look for him right away. Maybe as an older woman. But by then, where would you even start during that time?
Lol to Randall, the 5 hour man (on absinthe)

This was also the first episode for me in ages that brought on the tears. I am not looking forward to next week, I feel like we've been through Kevin driving erratically before, albeit in a very different situation.

That scene with Randall in the water (and, shallow note, hello to SKB’s fine backside) was just beautiful and yes, made me cry. The relief and the gratitude he felt knowing he was very much loved by both of his birth parents. My heart broke for Laurel, losing her son, being incarcerated for a first offense for possession after she had been clean for so long, one example of the long, shameful and disgraceful disparate treatment of women in color where the criminal justice system is concerned. And for her to find Hai still at the farmer’s market but very much married and they reconnect decades later and she has advanced breast cancer. My goodness. Beth was me, asking Hai, after seeing Laurel upon her return to NO, that all he did was WAVE??? But he was married. That’s just so damn sad. As for the “cliffhanger,” come on, show, we all saw silver fox Kevin in the flash forwards. But I’m happy to see signs towards a Pearson Bros reconciliation as I love these two as a team.

This was a beautiful episode. I kept thinking about it after I saw it. The heartbreak of Laurel not getting to know her son and always wondering what happened, and I loved the overall theme of redemption as she went back to live with her aunt. The scene where Laurel called her parents from jail and then we saw her sitting in the jail cell tore me up.
I still have more questions though. How did Laurel meet William and get started with drugs? Did she ever see her parents again? What happened to her parents?
I think it'll be interesting to see what Randall does now that he has this missing piece of his life, what he does with the house in New Orleans, and how it affects his relationships, especially with Kevin.

Man I really hate to say it because I really really wanted to love these episodes, but I'm finally catching up and I'm not loving them. Im bored
I like/empathize with Laurel's story on its own, but I still think its so far fetched in general. Digging up all these old family members that were supposed to have died is just getting too much for me. Are there no other storylines for these characters besides that? Although I liked Jacks brother (why can I never remember his name??) he's not even in the show anymore and we probably could have done without all of that. William has been the only one who fully makes sense and I enjoyed.
I've been a Madison fan since the beginning and I know that has been unpopular 🤣 but now I'm finding her insufferable. Can they not have any good moments ever? If they're not gonna work then just have them break up already.
I agree with what others have said about Kate, it seemed rushed and kinda far fetched to do that for me

This last episode was a beautiful punch in the gut. When Randall said he finally knew his birth story and the two imperfect people who loved him and that his story was not just that he got left at a fire station... ugh, the ugly tears.
I don’t share the details of DD’s birth story online but just knowing how much she is missing breaks my heart.

I just caught up with last week, glad this one is a repeat so I'm not missing anything 😂
But yea, Laurel tore me up man. Ugh. Wondering where her baby is all that time.
But I am wondering about the land and her family. He brother was killed, I'm assuming her parents are dead? What happened to their property/inheritance I wonder? And what's randall going to do w Mae's property? 🤔🤔🤔
I liked it though. But where are we in the end? Two weeks forward? I'm wondering how far away Kevin is and like, Hai said Randall quarantined before visiting so..I guess at least 10 days + drive time to New Orleans? I'm sure Kate will be with Madison at least.

Oh I was thinking the car scenes were just to get people talking but I just watched the preview and yup, there's a wreck. So obvs Kevin isn't going to make it to the birth.
Also, funny but after the preview it auto played the old trailer with Beth taking the board game to Kevin's and them all getting together around Rebecca's bed, I guess hospice bed, with Nicky back and no Kate, but Toby. And I still have so many questions!! Argh.

I am very curious to see if Kevin manages to con TSA into getting him on the flight. I know it is EXTREME privilege to be able to be recognized in public to verify your identity, but IDK, I guess I wouldn't be too pissed about it since TSA is all security theater anyway.

My father lost his ID while on vacation once. He had to get to the airport early (but not like a day early) and jump through a bunch of hoops to verify his identity but they did let him fly

The episode annoyed me last night. We knew he didn’t die, they just completely dragged it out. Yes, he was in another country, he should have had his passport. I’m sure he will make it just in time for Madison to deliver🙄
I do love how Randall and Beth called Madison and stayed on the phone with her Because she is alone, even though he currently isn’t really speaking with Kevin.

So I guess Kate’s and Kevin’s babies will have the same birthday so a new big 3? And are these supposed to be episodes focused solely on one character (like they did a season or two ago when they did the same day from each perspective)? I just think it’s weird we haven’t seen anyone interact with Kate beyond the edible arrangement.

Oof I would much rather they just separate and not that she dies. But really it could all just be a trick that they haven’t shown her in the future yet.

Honestly the best part was the 90 seconds Randall and Beth were on screen.
I can’t stand Jack and his dad stories, I barely tolerate Jack-centric storylines. I can stand the hero worship they have for him
