How's everyone handling the first January Monday back to the grind?

I am exhausted. Work is insane right now and feels like it’s not gonna let up until maternity leave.
I have my glucose test on Friday, so we’ll see how that goes.
My hands are swelling a bit and I’ve got to take off my wedding ring now before it gets too far along. I’m not surprised, my wedding ring is a 5 so it was bound to happen. I bought a cheap CZ off Amazon today because I still want some sparkle. 😆
How is everyone else?

We had a new nanny start yesterday. Our previous nanny we LOVED. Seriously she was a true gem. She cleaned, did laundry cooked dinner...I mean we used to have the kids in daycare but I am not going back after living the nanny life! She gave her notice though because she needed something more permanent and knew the position would be ending in March with my maternity leave. It went smoothly with the new nanny though! My daughter is 2 and showed her the ropes lol. She just basically bossed her around all day from activity to activity toy to toy.
This is my busy time at work as well and so far no cross training or plans have happened to prepare for my maternity leave which is stressing me out. I am ready to start off loading and wind down!!

Doing over here! Last week was crazy. Work was so busy and my work laptop crashed in the middle of one of the busiest days ever! 🤪
I had an appointment today. Baby looks good. I had an ultrasound to check her growth and she’s breech. My midwife was totally unconcerned and said she has tons of time to turn I shouldn’t even worry buttttt that’s what I do! I have another scan in 2 weeks so hoping she flips by then!
Hope all your ladies are doing well. Time is going quick!

My kiddo is hanging out breech, too, and I'm rapidly running out of time for them to flip. 😅

I found the most comfy nursing sports bra ever and I am in LOVE. It wrangles the pregnancy boobs nicely and doesn’t squeeze my body in other places- plus it will come in handy when baby is here. It’s the Auden brand at target if anyone is looking!

One can never have too many nursing bras though, especially if you’re like me and have extremely leaky boobs and strong letdowns.

Definitely could use allllll the bras. 😂

I have another US Tuesday and it sounds like I'll get to go home as long as the abruption is either the same or smaller. FX!

Wow babies are coming soon guys! Weren’t we all just complaining about our morning sickness? We are starting to get ready but we still have tons of stuff to buy and sort through from our first baby. We got him a baby doll. We have no idea how he’s going to react to having a little sister! 😬

My DS was 22 months when DD1 arrived and he did so well with the transition- he loved saying hi to her, doing tummy time, (gently) driving cars on her 😂 What helped was telling him all about babies’ needs and how we have to be gentle. Also- have him be your helper! He loved to grab diapers, burp cloths, pacifiers, etc.

So far he’s pretty rough on the baby doll lol those are good things we can have him do with her!

I had another growth scan today because the baby has been measuring small since the anatomy scan. The good news is she’s head down now and has grown a good bit! She’s gained weight and her percentiles went up. She had the hiccups during the scan and when they were measuring the blood flow in the cord they heard reverse blood flow but only when she was hiccuping. So I have to go back on Friday for a repeat check of that and an NST. I shouldn’t have googled that because it sounds scary. I’m not even sure if it’s anything to worry about. Someone in another board told me they’re a tech and you cannot get measurements of that if the baby is hiccuping. I’ve been crazy stressed at work and got a note so I don’t have to go back until Monday. I need a break badly. I’m just hoping it was a weird thing from her hiccups and nothing to really worry about. I can’t wait until she is here safe hopefully after enough cooking time! 😞

Induction at 39,6 because they won't let me go past due date and I wanna cook as long as possible. 😂 Your kiddos' evac date is the day after my big turns 3! I was so hoping to miss the holiday. Damn kid's been keeping me on my toes from the outset. 😒

Sometimes these kids just don't like to cooperate (I have one of those as well )

Had my weekly NST this morning. Kiddo was sleepy so they had me there for a loooong time. He did have one small decel so they did a quick US to check my fluid, which looked perfect. He likely just had put pressure on his own cord and that was the cause of the decel. They said next time to drink some espresso before I come in and bring some cold water, don't have to tell me twice!

I went back today for an NST and repeat ultrasound and the baby looks great. Totally fine. The tech was super apologetic. She said she can’t delete pictures during the ultrasound but what happened was a total normal thing to happen during hiccups and they shouldn’t even have had me come back in which a different midwife than I saw last time confirmed. I’m so glad the baby is okay but damn. That was a lot of anxiety on me for nothing! 😑
