iruntodrink more details please! I’m imagining something with ice. Kinda! Sunday I had to rescue H from the lake (that's frozen and we ride across) after he flew his snowmobile off a snowbank that some dirtbikers had built and he didn't see until it was too late. He flew through the air and landed on his shoulder, chipping his scapula and tearing some AC ligaments. It could have been so much worse, he had some guardian angels with him. Today after I dropped DD off at school I was at the intersection of our busiest road in town and saw a dog by himself and looking like he was going to bolt across at any second so I stopped to save him. His owner had actually stopped in the middle of the road to catch him too, so I was able to help her corral hims. She said he was missing for 12 hours and she just spotted him finally. I decided I'm keeping a coller and leash in my car from now on, for these types of things.

As of last week, I now also have a slip leash from the vets office, because I had to pick up my neighbors dog and they brought him out without his harness and hes a sneaky little turkey so we were not walking out to the car (I carried him its a mini pin) without something.

I have not read the books. But I watched the series in a day. Should I just watch the series or read books first? They’re not available for such a long time at my library. I started the books after watching the series and no complaints on that front from me.

iruntodrink, wow! I’m glad your H wasn’t more seriously injured. Snowmobile injuries can be so scary. I hope he’s feeling better soon. And thank goodness you were there for that dog.

Thanks, everyone! He felt so bad having to call me considering my history of getting horrible calls. He's obviously in pain and the snowmobile ended up unscathed except for the windshield, so that's good, too. Those bike tracks are a real problem - two of our other friends have had the exact same thing happen.
I tried hard not to bark at H for going too fast in the dark and failed. We had just hit them the day before, but he had forgotten! He gets a false sense of security and opens up on the lake because there aren't trees. He learned a lesson tho, I fully believe it.

The narrator is so good for the Bridgerton series audiobooks. Rosalyn Landor (the narrator) does a ton of historical romance narrations. A few years ago I actually just went through the library catalog by and picked books to listen to that she narrated because I liked her work so much.
If you want other regency romances to read, let mek now. They are what I've been reading for the last 10 years.

fatpony, I would take some recommendations. I can't get the Bridgertons for about six weeks, and I could use some light reading.

They are great, same time period, bold women. There are two so far. Bringing Down the Duke and A Rogue of One's Own.

iruntodrink, so glad your H is ok! I also keep a dog leash and collar in my car - I haven't used it in forever since I don't go anywhere, but it's good to have! My H at one point used a leash to tow his coworker out of the mud, lol. $9.99 at Marshalls and worth every penny!

They're sympathetic like Penelope Featherington is.

So second day back at school and there is a district wide internet outage. Is this a new year or is that fake news? Lol.
The kids in the class were a mess. Arguing over who got to be cohost and break out groups. H had to get on and tell the kids to settle down. And then DS cried of embarrassment. I’m laughing.

It's our first day back, and DD2's teacher already had to cancel their zoom call. Thankfully she's the preK kid so most of her work is parent led anyways.
