I am so jealous of the places in Texas getting snow. We are only getting rain and it’s such a bummer. Friends and family are posting pictures and it’s so thick (for TX)!

My goal for 2021 was to read more books, develop a better-ish skin care routine, and drink less Dr. Pepper.
Goal 1: already finished a book Goal 2: doing pretty good with my new routine Goal 3: not so much 🤦♀️ I half jokingly tell people it’s my frequent Covid test and the day I stop tasting it I’ll know what’s up. But like.... we are over 20% positivity and just told to keep teaching in person like nothing is wrong. I really hope a change in administration might bring about more state and local change for us but that seems far fetched at this point.

The chandelier is really pretty. And this makes me more happy I picked this table. Love that it extends longer. What colors are you considering? I want to do a bold black wall in our dining area. I think I may do it as a surprise to H. 😇

curmudgeon, I love a bold wall! I was thinking I need a dark blue/navy color wall but I'm not sure where to do it LOL. The dining room might be a good room for it

codex320 big hugs...I am so sorry. I remember all too clearly going through that only to be crushed. Hoping your follow up with will have some insight. Do you have any more FEs? Also love your dining room. Getting an Anthro vibe from it. I am in support of a bold wall in your dining especially if you don't use it daily. Sherwin Williams has an AR app you can DL.... Just checked ColourSnap or it appears you can utilize it on their site. link Can I introduce you and curmudgeon to Photowall I am dying to use a bold print wall paper when we finally get our main floor redone. With the pandemic raging on, not sure when we can get started finishing our basement. Once that's done, the plan is to move us all down there so it would be easier and faster to work on our main floor.

curmudgeon I love your table choice. Is this going to be your main family dining? Photowall has artwork too. You should check them out. They support a wide array of artists.

codex320 I’m so sorry about your beta. Big hugs - I’ve been there and know how difficult that news is to take after all of the waiting. That’s good to hear you have 3 embryos left, and I’ll be hoping for success the next time around. It sounds like you are doing well and have a good attitude; be kind to yourself and I’ll be thinking about you.

duskymonkey Funny you should mention the AQI....it took a turn for the worse this week. Has been red for the past 4 days, and actually we woke up to BROWN (worse than red and even purple!) this morning. AQI was 312 on our balcony 😱😱. Thank goodness we have adequate air purifiers - we could keep the levels green inside our home, despite the air quality literally being hazardous outside. 312 is gas mask territory 😩. It is back to red/orange now. Really hoping we can get down to yellow tomorrow - my poor kids have not been outside for 4 days and we’re back to online school. Everyone is cooped up and needs to burn off some energy outside. codex320 I love your dining room too! Add me to loving a bold wall - I like black, dark grey, or navy for dining rooms. curmudgeon - let us know what you decide to choose!

codex320 Sorry about the negative. Take some time for yourself and hopefully you will have success with one of the next rounds. Your dining room is stunning! Taitai That is some crazy AQ numbers! Hopefully it doesn’t last too long. duskymonkey She’s doing really well. Thanks for asking! She’s eating most foods and recovered from the surgery. She went back at work, she works from home so it’s easy for her to transition back. Her doctor has cleared her so her and husband are now working through the process to do a donor egg cycle. I hope 2021 is their year!

We are on a stay at home order since Thursday. So no going out unless it’s essential but the list of essential things is long so not much has changed. Virtual school is going well, the teachers and kids are all doing a great job and it’s nice to have structure to the day, not like the spring when it was a free for all. It’s been warm for winter here so we’ve been able to get outside a least once a day. The snow is almost all melted so it would be nice to get more of that for the kids to play in.
I’ve been sick all week and got a negative on my Covid test. I’m on day 4 of exhaustion and body aches and no appetite. I thought for sure my time had run out and I got it, such a relief to get that negative. The ICU’s are full here, deaths are steadily going up, vaccines aren’t going out as quick as they should. It’s not a great situation, hopefully this lockdown will get the numbers under control.

codex320 ((hugs)) Taitai that AQI is something. Holy cow. We are cooped at home and inside too but due to ice and snow. I agree we all need time outside! duskymonkey I have now reserved The Bakers Apprentice at the library per your recommendation but apparently it is a very popular book during quarantine and I’m like 8th on the list. I think I’ll be putting it on my bday list for Feb I think if I ever want a chance to improve in 2021. August Blooms I hope your symptoms have improved and your in the mend now!

duskymonkey, we went to see my mom the day after my quarantine ended, which was Saturday 1/9. It was really nice and my entire family (my sister and her kids and my brother and SIL and their kids) all came to mom's as well. It was like Christmas but without the gifts and typical time constraints as Christmas so such a busy time - it was pretty great. Mom is doing pretty good healing from her back surgery but has fallen twice. She's very careful about falling so that is worrisome. She didn't get hurt either time, thank goodness. And of course I didn't find out until way after the fact. I (jokingly) told her I was going to get her one of those fall bracelets and she didn't think it was funny. But seriously....ugh.

You guys and all of your decor talent has me really jealous. I need to pick out paint colors for our living room and common areas, as well as a color for the kitchen. Analysis Paralysis should be my middle name(s). Thinking of you codex320. I hope you're feeling better by now August Blooms!

A series of things led me to start thinking about getting a dog a few weeks ago. I did some looking on the local rescue websites and finally told my husband about my thoughts about a week and a half ago. Fast forward to now, we made serious inquires about 2 dogs and neither of those panned out and we are in a 5 day trial with the third dog. DH is ALL IN on this dog, and I am too for the most part. She's a really sweet german shepherd mix. We think she's about 2ish. We haven't had a dog since right before DS1 was born. We had to put down my 14 year old collie that I'd had my entire adult life. DH was previously anti-dog and that dog converted him. We both really struggled when we lost him. It is sort of hard to believe we are here 5.5 years later and dog owners again (assuming the trial goes well). This is Heidi.

CoachTsWife get the dog! She’s adorable 🐶 🐩 🐕 I haven’t had a dog since I was living at home and have said as soon as we know we’re in our forever home (or at least more than 1-2 years) we will get one. What a sweetie Heidi is!
