Very boring adult things happening here— drain being installed in the basement and contractors out to measure for dry wall and ceiling options, but it’s progress on getting the space set up!

Morning! I'm at work today. Pretty quiet. I'm binge watching Heartland while working on some work stuff. Trying to decide if I am going to order lunch or just grab something from the cafeteria.

I desperately need a shower. I was wiped out last night and didn't bother. After I accomplish that I think I'll ditch the boys at my moms and go to the grocery with MJ.

Morning. My dress arrived, it is pretty and flattering for the shoot I think. Dh took ds to take back the birthing pool we borrowed (I wanted a water birth, well that didn’t happen 🤪) from parents of ds’ friend that moved & he took both boys to the forest to run around for a bit, they had a blast! I’m still sad this boy isn’t in ds’ class anymore. They are like two peas in a pod, whilst being very different. They truly appreciate the others strengths & have zero rivalry, it is so sweet. The kids are at my parents tonight, so we’re having a semiprivate night with just baby girl . She nurses with the speed of lightning (done within 5 minutes), but it makes her very gassy, poor thing. Advise and recs are more than welcome!

nam2013 Maybe try keeping her up right and burping longer than you usually would. Also the belly massage with their knees trick. If the gas gets too bad you could always try the windi.

C is telling a girl that he likes her today. He asked me last night if he should. After I gathered myself, I talked to him about the different scenarios and that it is ok if she doesn't feel the same way. This morning he told me he was going to do it today and he had me do his hair. I hope his little heart doesn't get broken. She wasn't at daycare yesterday so she may not even be there today. I didn't expect to be dealing with this stuff for a few years. I didn't have a crush until 5th grade.

Morning.
It's my favourite time of year! Time to finish off the 2020 year home budget and get all the averages to make the 2021 home budget. I really wish I was joking, but alas I love the numbers and to see where we're spending our money to ensure the monthly budgets arent just pulled from the air.
I've instructed MH to research and book test drives for 3 trucks that we're deciding between, but I can feel he's changing his tune and wants to 'think about it more' and 'wait a little', come on dude lets just buy something already cause if he isnt going to I'll happily roll into an Audi dealership and buy for me.

She won’t burp... weird I know, my others didn’t do it either... yes to the belly massage & cycling with the little legs. And ttma the windi? What is that?

I don't think it's weird, some kids just aren't burpers. The longer you hold her upright the better though, whether she burps or not. That way she's not laying down and getting it trapped, if that makes sense. The windi is to help with gas. You stick it in their bum. frida.com/products/windi

nam2013 - I used to mess with my kids when they nursed too fast. Like stick my finger in to unlatch them so they'd have to relatch. It slowed them down and then they weren't as gassy.

I’m down the shore, prepping my house for next summer (by that I mean drinking all the leftover vodka sodas from Labor Day so I can buy fresh for Memorial Day).
Does anyone else drive around and point out all the things you are going to do once you are vaccinated or is it just me? Just saw this bar that has been under construction for 2 years opened. I’m making big plans for be their best customer.

Should we do a positive thread tomorrow? Like top 5 personal best moments of 2020? We did this with family, it reminded ourselves that not all of 2020 sucked .

The only time I went to one was a private room with family in place of a funeral for my grandma. I also have $300 in spa gift cards to use. I will probably be vaccinated before MH so maybe a spa day with my bestie (who is a nurse and will also be vaccinated soon) will come before a restaurant.

Anyone have any thoughts on when kids will be vaccinated? The wedding DD and I were supposed to be in last May was moved to July. I will need to buy DD a new dress as the one I bought last year will never fit. All my kids are invited and the plan last year was not to bring C just for my sanity but bring the others. T asked the bride if he could serve the food so she told him he could pass out the programs. I feel confident DH and I will be vaccinated well before July but I don’t know if I will bring any of the kids if they are not. A lot of guests will be coming from other states. Ceremony is supposed to be outside so I was thinking I could always get DD a dress, let her walk down the aisle, but then have my sister pick her up before the indoor reception. I think I can wait another month or 2 but then I would need to buy the dress (again).

I went to restaurants a bunch (maybe a dozen times) over the summer/fall when it got warmer. But I haven't been since it got cold. I miss restaurants/bars a ton.

Hey. DH is at work today so it’s just the girls and me home. MIL took H shopping at old navy for a couple outfits for her birthday present (there was a “certificate” to go shopping in a card she opened on her actual bday). S was mad she couldn’t go. I have been doing laundry and picking up.
Stimulus checks are being deposited today as an FYI if you are expecting one.

They have just started clinical trials for kids so they have to get that completed before it’ll be approved/available for kids. I’m not certain how long the trials will take. If the vast majority of adults are vaccinated, I think I’d be comfortable bringing my kids to a wedding next summer. Or they could go and wear masks when not actively eating.

kim22 I have no clue about kids but maybe late summer/fall? They are just starting studies on them and my ped said they will likely approve it from teens on down based on risk. She said 10 seems to be the age where symptoms get worse for kids. I'm hoping that the spread slows down significantly within adults so that it's not as urgent for kids to get it. That said, we have a wedding in Washington state on labor day, and we are thinking it will likely be me going solo. I doubt k will be vaccinated and won't want her flying without a mask. And yes, I'm very excited to do things again, mainly daycare dropoff🤣

Hi all - another day of my least favorite week of the year, pandemic or not. I sorted our sock pile which is always a good reminder that I suck at keeping track of socks. I'm going to attempt to trim my mom's hair shortly and cut J's. We watched the new George Clooney movie last night, it was okay, weird to have someone play a younger version of him, and him playing someone old. I should probably workout and/or shower.

kim22 no clue when kids will be next. Younger kids may not even be this year. As long as adults are vaccinated, I’d be comfortable bringing kids to a wedding.

That’s the problem, I have no way of knowing if the other adults are vaccinated. This is the wedding where I didn’t even know the other bridesmaids, we planned the whole shower by text and it was the weekend before the shutdown in March.
