Weeks Pregnant: 27&5, 3rd tri in sight! Baby is the Size of a: Lettuce I think FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: STM Team: Pink Appointments: Jan. 11th for a growth scan since she was a bit small at the anatomy scan and regular check up How are you feeling? I've been really weepy and emotional. Physically heart burn, trouble sleeping, and I feel okay during the day, but at night I'm so achy. Like getting out of bed hurts. My crotch hurts which did not happen last time, but maybe this baby is lower? Rants/raves? Rave we had a really nice little Christmas with just the 3 of us and my parents who are in our Covid bubble. Rant, totally bombed my 3rd glucose test. I'm picking up my meter tonight and back to 4X finger pricks. GTKY - How did you meet your SO? on Tinder no kidding! I only signed up as a joke with another single friend. Who knew!

Weeks Pregnant: 24+2
Baby is the Size of a: Papaya
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM
Team: Blue
Appointments: 1/19 for my 1 h glucose test
How are you feeling? Physically, pretty decent. I've felt less achy the last couple days, I'm sure that will be short lived until my next growth spurt. Mentally, struggle bus. See rants.
Rants/raves? I apparently overdid it on Christmas Eve with crawling around on the floor wrapping presents most of the day and then a quick grocery trip in the evening, with a tiny cart mind you. When I got home from the store, I'd started bleeding again and there was a small bit of tissue. I should have called the doc but I was not about to be admitted to L&D on Christmas Eve, so I didn't. I laid low and the bleeding resolved itself by evening time on Christmas day. He's still kicking me, so that's reassuring. It's the placenta abruption still. It's just so frustrating. How can bitches run marathons while pregnant and I can't even wrap fucking Christmas presents without my placenta trying to jump ship?? It's making me feel somewhat detached from this pregnancy like I don't have faith in my body to see it through and I'm too scared to think of all the possibilities. If you're still reading, thanks. Just had to get it out there.
GTKY - How did you meet your SO? One of my HS bffs introduced us. She had gone to the same church as his family growing up but hadn't seen him in years since he went to a different school and then ran into him at the grocery store and thought we'd be perfect. Turns out, she was right. We were 17.

Weeks Pregnant: 26 tomorrow.
Baby is the Size of a: acorn squash
Team: boy/girl
Appointments: today
How are you feeling? -I’m feeling good. The aches and pains are getting to me though. My crotch area is hurting too. And I feel little girl dancing on my cervix all the time and after a while it start hurting like a mother. I bought several belts to help with the days it feels especially achy. I’m so so tired all the time.
Rants/raves? -not much. I can’t believe I’m at the tail end of the second trimester. This is my last pregnancy so I trying to savor the moments as best I can. Just prepping for last tri where everything will for sure hurt and be harder.
GTKY - How did you meet your SO? -he was my supervisor. 🙈. We worked at a non-profit where we worked with people with development disabilities. It happened so fast. I wasn’t looking for it. I didn’t even think anything of him. But when things finally happened I was like whelp I need to find another job. So I did. Lol few months later we moved in together. We got married following year.

pbandj714 I am so sorry about the bleeding and the placental abruption. I totally feel you on the shitty placenta problems. Not being able to physically do simple tasks is SO maddening. I know it is hard but try to take it easy! I had a full placental abruption with my first and it was something I never want to go through again. Weeks Pregnant: 27 FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: TTM Team: Pink Appointments: Next Tuesday - US with the MFM doctor How are you feeling? Feeling okay! As long as I manage my physical movement and activity during the day I have been feeling pretty good. MH has really stepped it up with the more physical aspects of kid duty which has been super helpful. Rants/raves? My C-section is scheduled for March 12th at 10am. I will be 36w4d. It is earlier than ideal obviously but there is definitely some comfort in having a plan. It feels so close though! I have absolutely nothing done. The room needs to be painted, furniture needs to be assembled, bottles and clothes washed etc. I did order a double stroller though! GTKY - How did you meet your SO? We met within the first three days of college. He was looking for beer and my roommate had some...the rest is history haha.

Welp, I'm at the hospital. Had another bleed and they admitted me. I stabilized over night so now I'm in the High Risk unit, which is FAR more comfortable than L&D. It's somewhat of a wait and see game at this point. I have a 4 cm placental abruption. Baby is measuring perfectly and performing great on monitors. Just have to keep me stable and see if they'll send me home at some point.

pbandj714 I'm so sorry about the asshole placenta and anxiety. Big hugs. I wish I could send you some pizza or flowers, but I'm sure hospitals aren't allowing deliveries right now. 😔 Stay put and keep growing, baby! Weeks Pregnant: 35 tomorrow (Monday) Baby is the Size of a: 5lb baby, apparently FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: Second earthside kiddo Team: Green Appointments: NST Tuesday How are you feeling? Tired, annoyed, panicked. The typical stuff. Rants/raves? As far as being annoyed goes, it's mostly my blood sugars. They're picture perfect on a non-GD diet. But my OB refuses to entertain the idea that I've been misdiagnosed. 🙄 Anytime I have a GD-friendly meal, I get nearly (or hit) hypoglycemic. I'm annoyed my hospital care and infant care are now going to be affected by this as well as future care because dIaBeTeS. 😒 Secondly, though, I've had nosebleeds basically every day for a week. It's obnoxious as hell. I mentioned it at my last NST and the nurse asked the provider about it, but it seems to be a non-issue. Still annoying as fuck. ESPECIALLY because I'm also anemic this pregnancy. 🤦🏽♀️ I need that blood, body, kthx. Lastly, and this seems to be abating, I was super anxious/paranoid that baby wasn't moving enough over the year changeover, despite baby staying on the same schedule as always. It made me have to use the doppler, to just make sure my kiddo was okay. Ugh. But movements have been more noticeable lately, so I'm feeling better. I'll be glad when they're here, so my brain can imagine all the horrible ways I can lose them where I failed to protect them. 🙃 Brains are fun. (I already have a therapist, thank everything) GTKY: How did you meet your SO? We met in high school. I had a crush on his then-best friend and quickly got into him when the BF was super disinterested. We started dating at 15 (me) and 16 (him, almost 17).

Ugh, Rama, I totally feel you on the anxiety. I was worried about movement over new years, too. These kids must have been synced and sleepy. Glad baby has been busier lately to ease your mind! I'm holding down the fort here in the hospital. Haven't had any new bleeding since Wed, so once I hit 1 week with no bleeding, they're going to do another US and FX the abruption is smaller/not actively bleeding anymore and then we can monitor on an outpatient basis.

Weeks Pregnant: 35 tomorrow (Monday) Baby is the Size of a: 5lb baby, apparently Woah you are so close to having that baby!!!! Time is flying for you (to me lolol) and I'm over here counting that I have 8 more weeks of 2nd tri haha. I'm actually glad for plenty of time. I hope that baby keeps kicking you just enough to ease the anxiety; mine just started really kicking last night!

pbandj714 I caught your update in the pregnancy thread on GD and oh man, I’m so sorry you’re having to stay in the hospital away from your family longer. Glad they’re being extra cautious though- the whole thing sounds so scary and you and baby are in good hands there.

A bit late to this! Been busy getting the house back in order after Christmas, virtual schooling and trying not to anxiety spiral over COVID (but hey what’s new?!)
Weeks Pregnant: 27+4
Baby is the Size of a: bunch of bananas
FTM/STM/TTM/etc.: 4th
Team: girl
Appointments: check up Friday! Glucose test scheduled for the 25th.
How are you feeling? Trying not to aggravate the SPD, feeling large and moving around is getting tough. But okay other than that!
Rants/raves?
GTKY - How did you meet your SO? A mutual friend we both knew in high school (from different schools in different states) introduced us on a spring break trip sophomore year of college. I was a crazy 20 year old who then transferred colleges/states to be with a guy, but it all worked out 🥳 (thank goodness!). Been together for almost 13 years now.
