I'm in for at least no weekday alcohol. This month I've reduced a lot and it has been so good for our budget honestly.

I'm in for the month and also planning on cutting out sugar at the same time, just as a little beginning of the year reset. I gave up sugar for the month of October and it was not as difficult as I thought it would be, but the holidays have really thrown me off.

I’m in dry December and plan to extend it into February so January works for me.

I usually only drink Wednesdays and Fridays since my regular days off are Thursdays and Saturdays. I've had so many extra days off the last few months though, using up vacation time. Between that and snacking and holiday food, yikes. I'm so bloated.

I usually only have 1-2 drinks a week, so I don’t feel like I need to cut that out, but my sweets consumption has been out of control lately so can I join, but instead of cutting out booze, do sweets instead? I need a reset in that department for sure.

I am in! We do have a mini getaway planned for two days in the middle of the month, so I will likely break for that since vacation mode, but want to be dry the rest of the month.
Started Noom recently too, so really trying to be healthier. This last year has been...not good.

MH is now into making craft cocktails of course, but I’ve been thinking about doing this! there’s a ton of awesome mocktails! You can even get alcohol free spirits

I'm in. I'm not sure if I'm going to go completely dry, but I'm definitely cutting out weeknight drinking. If I can limit myself to only drinking one night a weekend that would be great. Pretty sure I can get my partner on board, too. We've both been eating and drinking too much this pandemic.

tj - I’m doing the bikini body mommy 10 challenge starting January 11th. I’m- the most out of shape I’ve ever been and need to start slowish. I’m going to add in couch to 5k Feb. Still not sure which diet bet. Probably that giant transformer one. I need to commit long term if I want to feel comfortable by summertime.

I’ve done it a couple of times after babies and have had such good luck with it.

Dh does this every year. Starts 1/2 (because bowl games and hangover) and goes to the super bowl.
I’m at least going to pull way back on my wine with dinner. Good luck ladies!!
Eta: I like the idea of no drinks on weeknights so I will try that!

I don't do DietBet anymore but I do RunBet now. I actually joined their membership and they have a lot of fun side games too. Things like meditation, cooking certain kinds of meals, etc. I'm doing a traditional RunBet and a Cardio Bet right now (30 min of activity 5 times a week, heart rate at least 110).
DietBet got me through a lot of my weight loss. Good luck to all those doing it!

Just bumping this. Lol last night MH told me his work is sending a bottle of champagne to everyone but it's not getting here until the 3rd. So we're saving it for Valentine's Day 😂❤

I picked up some hot chocolate and mini marshmallows. I like to have something besides water to drink on those two evenings a week to make it feel like I'm treating myself. Probably will also get some Bubly sparkling water. I like the cherry and peach flavors.

After a disgusting, sloppy, puke-filled New Years at my ex's parent's house, I started Dry January. That was 1/1/2008 and I am still going lol

I am doing a January cut back. My ultimate goal is no weeknight drinking. I have already started subbing tea and also bought some stuff for fun mocktails. Wine is my downfall, so I really want to work on cutting that down.

If anyone is interested in NA “beer,” I highly recommend the Athletic Brewing Company beers. They are less than .5% alcohol, so not 100% alcohol free if that is a deal breaker, but close enough for me. When I am deep into half/full marathon training, I like to have one on a Friday night so that I still feel like I’m unwinding with an adult bev, but I’m also feeling good for a long run on Saturday morning. I honestly can’t tell the difference taste-wise, though I am not a huge beer-drinker.
