After a long 38 hours of labor Zachary is here! I had a very hard time as I’ve struggled with low blood pressure and tachycardia so most pain meds were out. I had an anaphylactic reaction to the medication for group b strep but baby and I are finally doing well! He arrived at about 2 this afternoon. He was 37w5d and weighed 7 lbs 5 oz! We are so in love! He missed our anniversary but shares a birthday with my stepmom. Congratulations!!!

allthekristys Take care of yourself these last few months! 3rd tri with twins is absolutely brutal. Thanks! I’m the type of person who pushes myself a lot. I’ve learned quickly that it’s in my best interests to not be that person right now.

I am just feeling so worn down and over everything lately. I feel like I have so many doctors appointments, managing gestational diabetes, being high risk for multiple reasons, the ultrasounds and NSTs, growth scans, etc. All while feeling so huge and tired and exhausted and not able to get great sleep.
Work is insanely busy and I have so much on my plate that I need to manage. I have a huge project that I hope to be able to see through going live September 10-12. Prepping for that, prepping for who will manage my group when I am out.
Getting the nursery ready, cleaning out things in the house. Just so.many.things.
I know I am just overwhelmed and that instead of stressing about all of the things I need to do, just worry about accomplishing a little bit each day. But damn. I never felt this with my 1st.

I never felt this with my 1st. i can relate. That last trimester was harsh. I was very unproductive towards the end. I slept a lot too. It was so different from carrying 1 child. With C I was still out and about and doing things. With the twin, yeah right. Al this to say, take it easy on yourself.

allthekristys I’m sorry you are feeling this way. There’s a lot of us that have had GD that would be more than willing to be your support system with that. Can you do a brain dump and then prioritize so that you feel less stressed? And I’ll admit when i ended up being high risk/had multiple appts a week I was flat out honest with my boss that something had to give for mine and my child’s health.

My abdominal separation feels different this time. I’m gunna order kinesiology tape and hopefully that helps but I’m struggling with the fact that I’m struggling. I have zero help (beyond MH, who is working a lot) so not being able to do things and take care of my kids as usual is hard. We just got back from a trip and I feel like I mustered energy I really did not posses during it. My body gave out when we got home today. I’m just entering third tri so am nervous about how the next while will go because my last two pregnancies weren’t like this.

allthekristys I’m sorry you’re struggling. All of your feelings are valid. Pregnancy can be hard in general, growing an additional human certainly amplifies that. I hope this trimester is as easy on you as can be and all the other pieces fall into place.

My body effing hates being pregnant. I'm still exhausted. I'm still nauseous. Not actually vomiting really anymore, but food is hard.
Today DS1 excitedly said "but what if we have another baby after this one?" And I could barely hold back the "hell no."
17 weeks today.

allthekristys How many weeks are you now? FWIW, I was in the best shape of my life when I got pregnant with the twins and I took a 30 min walk every day after I couldn’t lift weights anymore (my own limitations not the doctor). And I still went on modified bedrest at 33 weeks because I showed up to work one day and just wanted to cry and lay down and knew it was time. Please let yourself rest if you need. It’s so hard.

allthekristys I’m so sorry. I know how miserable I was while pregnant, and I can only imagine how much that is amplified with twins. I can relate to the work stress; before I went on leave, I had to train someone to take over a project that is due to go live this month (although I guess now it has been postponed, who knows if i will still be on leave when it goes live). I hope you can get things wrapped up easily so that you can let go of at least one source of stress. babybean the exhaustion hit me really hard this time, and parenting the other two kids felt really difficult. H was a great help, but it was so taxing. wildflowers I’m sorry you still aren’t feeling well. ❤️

Hi! I was wondering where the heck I should go when I saw the BMBs were pretty much non existent.
I'm 6w2d (due March 29th I think) with baby #4 (the series finale). My first appt is around 8w and right now my symptoms are fairly mild. Usually around this time the nausea is hitting but *knocks on wood* so far it's been not bad at all.

Nausea didn’t fully go away for me until 19 weeks this time around, which is the longest I had it. I hope you get a reprieve from it soon. Third pregnancies are special.
