Ah that sucks. So on to the 3 hour test then? Yup! Next week sometime. I have my test on Friday and I'm fully expecting to fail again too. I've already had some high numbers testing myself from a cheap meter I got on Amazon. GD sucks and I really really want to have a VBAC so I am not what sure impact having GD again will have on that.

Or, at least, my MFM never made it seem like it was anything more than something "let's keep an eye on this, but otherwise carry on". Fingers crossed your care team is on the same page as you if/when you get the dx. ❤

Rama, thank you! My midwife is VERY supportive of my VBAC, but if the GD is hard to control and I end up needing insulin or something I think I'll have to see an OB and they might not be as supportive of my wishes. In other news, my toddler has had diarrhea for two weeks now. He isn't throwing up, no fever, still eating and acting totally fine, and it's not constant at all. He goes maybe once or twice a day, but when he goes it's absolutely brutal. A total blow out that involves laundry and a bath. I called his pediatrician last week and she said she wasn't worried yet, call back in another week if it's not better. So I called again today and she said she still feels okay seeing how things go and not bringing him in. I am guessing given that he's totally fine otherwise it's just not yet worth the risk bringing him in with Covid times, but I'm still worried. Two weeks is a long time! Anyone ever have this happen before?

Oh man, you guys. I ordered some leggings from Blanqi on Black Friday and wish I'd ordered two (I will not pay full price, nope nope nope). They are a bit of a workout to put on but SOOOO supportive. I've slept so much better the last two nights with these things supporting my belly.

Guess who failed the 3 hr GTT today??????
I'm ready for the dx, but I also have questions for my OB/MFM. I was under on fasting and 3hr, over on 1hr and 2hr (you fail any 2, you fail overall).
But. I was only a few points over at 2hr (160, threshold is <=154 at Kaiser and up to 165 at some other places I've looked at online) and waaaaaaaaaaay under on 3hr (73, threshold is <=139 at Kaiser), so I want to hear if there's any wiggle on their thresholds and if not, why I tanked at the end and whether that's cause for concern. Comparatively, with my big's pregnancy, my 2hr and 3hr draws were 176 and 122, respectively. So, curious how that'll shake out.
Also, while I was getting that done today, I got ferritin (Iron) and a complete blood count at the same time apparently and that's indicating me being anemic. 🙃 Guess which two diets totally contradict each other? My brain hurts.

Oh geez, Rama, I'm sorry! I hope your doc is able to come up with a good game plan for you trying to balance both of those things!

Woke up this morning thinking I peed myself. Nope, blood. Passed a good sized chunk of tissue. Not really actively bleeding, no cramps, and I've felt him kick. Going to call the doc once they open but ughh wtf. I thought this shit was behind me. I suspect I passed the hematoma? But idk. The kicks are comforting, just trying to stay level-headed.

This happened to us with our last pregnancy. They called it a resolution of the SCH I was never told I had, so I was freaked the F out. Definitely go in for a peace of mind check (and freebie baby viewing!). Hugs and deep breaths. ❤

What was your one hour draw? If your one hour was over by a lot and the two hour was over even just barely I would say they'll probably diagnose you. My first pregnancy I totally bombed the one hour at 183!
Pretty sure I'm anemic too, but I'll know for sure soon. We're in the same boat so solidarity? GD sucks so bad. And I REALLY want to have a VBAC this time, so not sure how another GD diagnosis will impact that. My midwife is super supportive, but if I can't control the GD and need meds I'll have to see an OB, ugh.

We had our anatomy scan today. All looks good, I have an anterior placenta so no wonder I’m the only one feeling kicks right now. Officially team blue!

Sorry to post and run! I took a technology break this weekend.
So I called the doc and they said that any bleeding after 20 weeks and I had to go to L&D. Fack. So we spent a good 4ish hours at the hospital. They monitored baby, me, measured my cervix, did an US. Dx was placental abruption. A small part of my placenta detatched and was dissolving apparently? Cool cool cool. The rest of the placenta looked healthy, baby looked healthy, cervix was long and closed so they sent me home on pelvic rest and no heavy lifting. The OB said that sometimes this happens and there are no further issues. Sometimes, when it becomes severe, it's like what happened to Chrissy Teigen (Gee, thanks for that, doc). Could be a risk factor for early labor but not necessarily. If I experience heavy bleeding, I am to go right to L&D. So basically I'm just anxious now, waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Oof, they could have left out the part about Chrissy since we know that didn't end well. Your situation sounds way more mild than hers though. Fingers crossed for you! Hope you can find some ways to relax and take it easy!

I got my 1 hour glucose results. UGH I actually almost passed! I failed by 8 points. TBD, I was going to just decline the 3 hour because I was certain I would bomb it, but now that it's close my midwife really wants me to take the 3 hour and see what that looks like. Even if I were to pass I would definitely proceed like I have it which is what I've been doing, but it would be nice to keep the doctor away because last time that is how I got induced early and ended up with so many interventions and a c-section and I really really really want my VBAC.

Oh I definitely got the diagnosis, I was expecting it, haha. I'm just worried about how badly I tanked at the end because that was very off my last pregnancy and, well, I don't wanna pass out from a blood sugar crash while trying to keep up with my kiddo. 😅 Yes, it'll be good to have GD company. Fx if/when you have to transfer care to an OB, that they're as supportive of a VBAC. Is there a way you can combine care? I've had friends that saw both a MW and an OB (and even a MFM on top of that) to watch different aspects of the pregnancy.

Hey guys. Apologize if this is long.
Someone tag me so I don’t forget to check in here. I get the worst forum add and start strong and then disappear.
I’m still on pelvic rest. Boo. 24 weeks today. But I’ll find out if baby girl’s placenta is still on my cervix on Friday at my MFM appointment.
I’m going to wait until after the Christmas holidays to start buying baby stuff and setting everything up. I’ve been procrastinating and lazy.
I actually barely barely failed my 3hr test. Don’t recall my numbers. So I’ve been testing 4x a day. so far everything is within range and my OB thinks I got myself worked up and that’s why my numbers failed first time around. But she wants me to keep checking - which is fine. As I near my third trimester I can probably see my fasting stuff going bonkers and might need insulin. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but they seem okay now. They’ve been checking my bile acids too because of my liver autoimmune stuff. Basically I take Urso to keep my autoimmune in check. But it’s what ladies with cholestasis take to control their bile acid numbers. Last I saw, my numbers were good and no need to worry. Plus I have no itching. But they are going to test me every month just to make sure. Also I just checked my Kaiser porta tbjng and my liver and thyroid panel is within range and perfect. So yay!!!
Ive actually haven’t gained a ton of weight, but they aren’t worried because babies are growing so thumbs up for that.
Hey guys!!!
