I dont think he will. I think its just for drama Although that would tie up the Owen situation so 🤔 maybe they would do that Honestly I would much rather they get rid of Owen than just about anyone else on the show. Is that mean? Lol. He irritates me.

I just love Linc, and Chris Carmack in general. He seems like Linc in real life, from the very little I know from following him on IG and watching him on Nashville. 😂

No i actually think im in the minority here as one of the only ones who like Owen 🤣 I dont like Teddy with either of them anymore though so I dont even know what I want to have happen. Maybe they should just get rid of her and keep the other two. Which is sad for me to say and think cuz I used to like her too

I was thinking about whether they would find Tom close to death and they get him to the hospital and he says something about not wanting to fight it because he wants to see his son. 😢 idk I can just see Greys doing that.

One of them said on social media that a lot is coming, that this season is a wild ride or some kind of similar wording

I’m really mad I don’t think I can watch this show anymore. It’s too much for me with covid in the hospital and I’m really, really angry that the tv world is spending millions of dollars to get their cast and crew tested frequently and there are people in this country that can’t get a test because of time, money, rationing, whatever.

I read in an interview that initially, the show runner didn’t want to include it because she felt like people would like an escape from it. Completely understandable

Completely understandable That is exactly what I wish would happen. Like when Friends pretended 9/11 didn’t happen. I mean I get why they’re including it, but. I just can’t.

I'm sorry addymac. I've mentioned before I was a nurse before being a SAHM and I've thought about that often. If I was still working if I'd want to see all of this during TV shows

I respect that covid is a hot topic for a medical show, but I wish they were focusing more on peripheral cases at this point than the covid storyline. Also, does it drive anyone else crazy that characters wear their masks until they get close to one another and then take them off? I know that it's for the purpose of television, but it bothers me every time.

Oh, I just thought about it, and I am betting that Tom does die. I remember in the spring when they weren’t able to finish recording all the episodes in the season that they said a major character was supposed to die. I wonder if they had planned to kill him off at the end of last season but weren’t able to wrap it up in time.

I feel like it's a pride thing with Tom. He doesn't want anyone to see him sick and/or scared. I wonder of Mer is done hanging out on the beach? Maybe next week she is still there and Tom joins her. In has final act of redemption, he’s the final push that sends Mer back to the land of the living and then he dies. She’ll wake up singing his praises and everyone else will think she’s crazy except for Teddy. Oh yeah I could see it being like Tom shows up at the beach and she's like wtf and he pushes her to go back because of her kids and talks about how now he's with his son again and it's the only place he'd want to be and that inspires her to fight and wake up, etc. It would be very textbook Greys. lol

Also if Tom dies and they don't give us the crying moment of Tom on the beach playing with his son, then dammit his death won't be worth it.

I kind of wish they'd kill off Meredith. I think I'm just over this plot line with her.

I’ve only seen covid patients intubated and sedated, so I know I don’t know a lot about their day to day symptoms and presentation but do they get the chills and shake like they had Mer and Tom doing?
I kept reading the posts and want to find out what happens to Tom and wanted to see George so I kept watching but ugh to my decision making skills.

I am so over the show from so many standpoints but I just can't quit. Someone needs to put us out of our misery! I'm with you on the frustration with testing and PPE when so many people are struggling with access. I thought it'd be a good mental distraction for shows to be back, but I haven't watched much of my "normal" because I just can't get into it without thinking about all the people struggling. Definitely not a good mental escape

The night before I went to get tested I had the chills and cold sweats. Since then I have had on and off periods on when I take a quick nap, I wake up in almost a puddle of sweat.

I wouldn't necessarily be MAD if they killed off Meredith but I also don't love leaving the 3 kids as orphans either. I mean I know they are fictional characters lol but still. I think the narrative of staying alive for your children is very much at play here with the dialogue from George about how his mom hasn't moved on, then Tom getting sick and maybe dying and will see his son -- I think it is all set up to push Meredith back.
But yeah it is annoying because it has been done. And even though I like seeing Derek and George, I feel that the first time they did it (with her mom, Kyle Chandler, and Denny) was more interesting and engaging than this weird choppy conversation on the beach.

I need someone to explain why the sand wasn’t real in Derek scenes, but she can walk normal and be with George. Make it make sense.

I think it was to establish that she was in some kind of dream sequence maybe? George also acknowledged that the sand wasn’t real and nothing else was real, that he was not real because she imagined him older, etc.

I watched in real time tonight and this one felt extra heavy to me. Like, I’m going to have a hard time sleeping cause it really affected me. For anyone not wanting to be brought down by the covid storylines, this may be one to skip imo (nothing to do with our main characters).

I loved Jo's storyline though, I love that she is beginning to find happiness again.
