I've been waiting for Lily Rabe to have a bigger role but also Kidman's dad really hates her husband. Maybe he had a hand in it? I was just talking to my husband about this. It was interesting that everyone around Grace hated her husband and thought he was guilty. It reminded me of those friends who have terrible partners and everyone else can see it but them

I just watched. That final scene - uuuuugh.
I avoided this until I watched, so I would assume others will, too?
At the start I was leaning towards her, because of the credits. I always wondered why they had a little girl and assumed it was to be her, and why would they do that if it wasn't her that did it.
She knew what she was doing on the stand. It's what she told her friend on their walk.
I need to process a little more.

So many unanswered questions. That episode was not my favorite.

So many unanswered questions. That episode was not my favorite. like what? Truly curious. I think the ending was actually the one that left the fees hole plots. (Outside of the friggin' weapon location, that was obviously very unbelievable.)

(Outside of the friggin' weapon location, that was obviously very unbelievable.) The more obvious ones were how he either walked home with a bloody hammer all covered in blood or got into someone else's vehicle all bloody and again they didn't notice. If when they said they had a car they meant not that they hired a car, but they owned a car his personal car would have been searched and found to be covered in blood. Why carry a bloody hammer anywhere other than tossing it in the river or trash unless your plan was always to set someone else up? What was the point of the not telling his wife about Katie until now? WTF has Sylvia been up to?

I couldn't completely hear what Johnathan's lawyer said to him about the hammer.

WTF has Sylvia been up to? for sure good points, I would have to assume he walked home (it was in walking distance since Grace walked by, right?) so he just stayed out of camera view and into the alleys. Did they have a doorman, or just the dad? I can't recall the set-up right know. Also, in the flashbacks was he carrying the hammer? I just recall his jacket or shirt. I'll have to go back with your eye.

You know, I thought there was going to be some secret society by the way the other doctor was behaving when Grace went to him asking for an explanation.

Spoilers below
I think the lawyer knew he did it the whole time (she's been doing this a long time and knows when someone is guilty) and basically said this is your fault, for not getting rid of the goddamned weapon.
What did Sylvia say to the prosecutor in the bathroom? I rewound it five times and couldn't understand it.
I thought it was super climactic and the acting from all was superb. I'm satisfied.

Toss the hammer in the river. My gosh.
I was really pretty disappointed that the obvious answer was actually the answer.
I felt that showing the bashing was really, really unnecessary. At some point it’s just gore porn.
The bridge scene was exciting, but I thought the finale was disappointing overall.
I still have a lot of questions about Nicole’s character, how she interacted with Elena and how she reacted to the police questioning.
I still like my “scorned mom friend did it” alternate theory better. David Kelly, call me for S2, I’m available for writing if I can find a babysitter in the pandemic.

I feel stupid for thinking it Could be anything other than the obvious. I did enjoy the take down in the court room. It took me a minute to realize she did all that on purpose.

I didn’t even think about walking home with the hammer. She said she lived in Harlem and he lived in the 60’s. So walking home 60ish blocks (4miles roughly) bloody with a murder weapon and not ending up on any security cameras is lol.
I’m kinda disappointed. It was fine and wrapped up. But, exactly what they wanted people to think it was.

I thought it was kind of anti-climactic. The bridge scene was pretty intense but then just ended with nothing really happening. I enjoyed it overall but there were just so many unanswered questions. And you'd think Hugh Grant's character would've flipped out at some point in his life before this if he's really a psychopath. I'm assuming the book delves into more details that would make everything make more sense?

But, exactly what they wanted people to think it was. That’s hilarious. I figured it was a long walk through a city which seemed really unrealistic to not have shown up on security cameras. I was laughing about it when I thought it was only a mile or two, 4 miles is even funnier.

I think my bottom line about this series is that I know I would probably pick up on some nuances and clues if I rewatched it, but I don't really care enough to do so.
It was fine for 6 hours of pandemic entertainment, however.

Even if he hid the hammer in a shirt at best he is a man with blood all over his upper body including hair and face carrying a weirdly shaped not at all suspicious shirt wrapped hammer who magically does not ping a single person he is passing or shows up on any cameras during his hour and half walk.

Thats the part that annoys me. And he didn't actually leave the art studio and come back right? It was all one trip.

You can't tell me someone didn't call in a man covered in blood as suspicious and the police can find Grace on camera but can't find a single shot of him coming home covered in blood because none of their neighbor's or local stores have cameras?
