Anyone else's baby a lazy eater? C has went back to his freshly born eating ways. He'll fall asleep on the boob and I'm lucky if I get him to eat 20 minutes total a session. And according to my scale at home he didn't gain anything this past week 😳 or either he lost some and gained it back 🤷🏽♀️ but either way it shows he weighs the exact same he did last week. Idk what to do to get him to eat more. I try to wake him up and stick him back on a boob, but he just falls back asleep a couple minutes later. We're currently trying his first bottle and that's not going very well at all 🤦🏽♀️

ponygirl - J will take one side then sleep and wake up 45 minutes later for the other 🙄🙄. I’m still changing her diaper MOTN to wake her for the second side because if I don’t she’s up in 45 min.

We did the first bottle today and she took it like a champ. I just need to make sure it works with my spectra so I can avoid washing more parts.
Has anyone made it to the other side of the nightly cluster feeding? It’s still a struggle.

I'm sorry for those struggling with feeding. Our only real feeding issue is his latch. It's getting better but sometimes it still hurts. He prefers a shallow latch and I'm trying like hell to get him to be better at getting it deep enough. He's also started doing a lot of thrashing his head around while he eats, which doesn't help.
I do not change diapers in the middle of the night. Eff that. Feed for 20-30 minutes then it's straight back to sleep for both of us.
He's coming out of the other side of a developmental leap and has gotten very socially smiley. Likes to play now too, swats at toys on the playmat. It's so cute but it also makes me sad thinking he's growing so fast.

DD2 has also decided to consolidate her pooping as well as her feedings. While this sounds good in theory, with fewer poopy diapers to change, her butt is currently a ticking time bomb since her last one was Thursday afternoon. 😬 I’m anticipating a major blowout situation at this point. Probably in her car seat, when one or both of us is wearing a light colored outfit, because that’s how it goes. Mom life and newborn baby life is soooo glamorous. 😂 I totally had my nursing pad in the wrong place and leaked all over J and my bra earlier. She got even by pooping all over me about half an hour later. Luckily I had decided to eat lunch before giving her a bath 😂

Luckily I had decided to eat lunch before giving her a bath 😂 No poop disasters today! Neatly contained, none on the car seat or the light-colored sleeper she was wearing. 🙌🏻 That's because T had one for you. Pee leak this morning then a couple hours later a blow out. C'mon kid!

I was wondering why nobody had posted in a while.... It was because it was a new thread so I didn't get tapa notifications. 😂
I thought feeding was going fine for us, but at her 2 month check today she had gone from 70th% to 41%. They weren't super worried, said she looked fine just keep an eye on it. She's LONG though, 24.5 inches, 99%.
Also found out today my district is going K-12 distance learning starting Nov.30th, my first day back from maternity leave.

Tongue and lip ties are released! It’s such a relief to have that done, especially to not have to worry about it getting cancelled due to COVID. She’s feeding better already, and I noticed an immediate change for the better with her latch. Here’s hoping for a smooth, gradual transition to nursing and weaning off the bottles and pump. Glad you got that done!! I'm hoping nursing goes well for you. DH is getting snipped tomorrow and I was also worried that would get cancelled. Last thing we need is another surprise.

Anybody have good diapers for skinny babies? Specifically skinny legs. H is tall and skinny. We had to move up to Size 2 for the height on them, but she's having blow outs around the leg holes.
I've always used Target up&up, but my last two babies were way chunkier.

Had C's two month check up today. He's still barely even on the chart, (2nd percentile for weight and less than 1st for length and head circumference 😆) but she was pleased with his growth. Go back in January for his 4 month check up. We're getting so many smiles now and he's cooing more. I forgot how adorable this stage was as their personality starts to show.

Luckily daycare is still open so we're going to send the youngest two 4 days a week and my first grader two days. I'll have some peace. 😅 Also adorable picture and so funny we have babies literally on opposite ends of the spectrum.

I've always used Target up&up, but my last two babies were way chunkier. All three of mine have been long and skinny. Up&up was instant leaks for us. We use Pampers Baby Dry for day and night with no issues. So far they've worked well for all three kids.

We rarely had issues.

Thanks for the recommendations cnf and rooskie. Actually I bet I could keep using the up & up overnight because she's stopped pooping at night. But her legs are so skinny it just shoots out those leg holes when she goes during the day.😂

I'm so thankful DD likes pacifiers because I bought way too many when I was pregnant with her lol She is so fussy during the day and only wants to be held and eats almost constantly, but she sleeps SO good at night and only wakes up once in the middle of the night.

Hanging in there. Being home all day with three kids with the exception of DD1 having two days of school is exhausting. We're starting to hunker back down too since covid cases are rising so much, so I've been kind of blah feeling. Baby is doing good though. Smiling, chatty, likes to sit up, swats at toys on his play mat, and more or less sleeps through the night.

shesellscshells the lack of a break from parenting is what is slowly killing me. I'm literally with at least one kid at any given time (usually all of them though) 24/7 right now and I am so fucking burnt out.

And we’re all sick of each other, since interactions with people outside of our household (aside from everyone’s therapists) are few and far between. Here’s hoping for better things and more normalcy by sometime in 2021. We desperately look forward to the two days a week when DD2'S OT comes over. So sad, lol.

Good luck to everyone going back to work tomorrow ♥️ I was just coming to say this. This is the least anxious I've ever been about taking a baby to daycare, and I think it'sbecause I am just SO worn out from this pandemic constantly parenting stint that I'm excited for some time 'alone'.
