Hey! We had V’s 4 month check up this morning. She is 13lb10oz 36th %ile, 23 3/4” 18th %ile, and has a head circumference of 16” 63rd %ile. Nothing really to note about the appt. She is currently a very sad baby post shots, I’m sure her little thighs are very sore. My older two were both over 16lbs at their 4 month appts so she’s tiny in comparison. I was wondering if maybe her ears are bothering her because the last 2 days she was having a fit in the afternoon, not wanting to nurse or lay down. Then yesterday while I was at work DH said she wasn’t wanting to drink her bottles. Not sure what was up with any of that. She will be 18 weeks tomorrow. I waited till the last minute to order her Halloween costume so hopefully it comes in by Friday. I got the Carter’s unicorn. DD1 decided she also wanted to be a unicorn so DD2 gave into peer pressure and is going to be a unicorn too. Last night DH and I carved the girls’ pumpkins. They turned out pretty good. I did all the designs freehand. This week nothing much to report except Halloween on Saturday. Oh, I guess I should note that we got over 4” of snow this weekend and it was 17 degrees when I took DD2 to school. Def not ready for this nonsense yet.

Ohh I forgot it was a new week. We're halfway through DH's hitch, so I'm getting pretty tired and lonely. The boys are doing good. It's DS2's birthday this weekend and I swear this month alone he has grown right up, it's kinda making me sad. G is mostly sleeping ok again. Not as good as he used to, but his sleep regression is over so I'm good with that. I still haven't lost any weight. DH bought a huge pile of treats that I like while he was home last and I have zero willpower. I'm gonna have to tell him when he comes back home not to buy any junk (or if he wants something for himself, get something that I don't like). I know he's just tying to be nice in buying me treats, but I'm actually going to have to go buy a new pair of jeans so that I have something decent to wear that actually fits (and isn't leggings), and I've never had to do that after my other babies.

When is he done? Happy birthday to your son! V sleeps like crap so I feel your pain there. I am also struggling with the weight gain problem. I had bought 2 pairs of jeans in a bigger size shortly before I got pregnant with V because I had gained a bunch of weight with my ectopic and whatnot and they are the only ones that fit. Unfortunately one pair is distressed so I really only wear the other pair. I refuse to buy more because I know that I have a bunch of jeans that will fit if I start losing weight. I’ve done a better job of not eating as much junk and just eating out of habit/boredom. I hope the scale starts moving soon.

I've been wearing a pair of maternity jeans when I need something better than leggings or sweats, but they really don't fit well either. I've been trying to hold out but with winter coming I really need at least 1 pair of jeans so I just have to give in and buy a pair.

They just fall down all day because the band is stretched out.

Ben is 5 months + 10 days. He’s doing great - he has found his screeching voice and also is still super into sucking his fingers. Today was a bad day for me -I spent 3 hours and $1,000 at the dentist getting a broken crown replaced - ugh. DH finally put Ben to bed alone Saturday night while I took the older kids to a drive through scream zone. And then he slept all night. So that was really good because Wednesday and Thursday nights are my little trip with 3 girlfriends. We rented a house big enough for each of us to have our own bedroom and bathroom. We plan to wear masks inside and just hang out outside together (the house has a pool and it’s the desert so should be like 85 degrees and no rain). I love my family but OMG I cant wait to get away from them all for two nights. Please cross your fingers everyone stays healthy for the next 48 hours. I really need to transition him from snoo to crib but wanted to wait till after the trip - so maybe this weekend.

5 months and a few days here. Still in sleep hell, lol. He sleeps ok and then has hellish nights where he’s up like every hour or two. And those nights always seem to happen when I have to go to work at 430am so yeah 🥱🥱🥱 He’s doing so good at sitting up though. He can stay without falling over for like 30 seconds+ without me holding him. It’ll be nice when he masters that. He had his 4 month appt today. Not sure why so late. But I was impressed by how well he did with the shots. He cried of course but settled down right when I picked him up. That wasn’t our experience last time, ha. Here’s hoping he sleeps tonight 😬 I’ve got a couple books I’m reading on BLW and I’m excited to start next month. I did it half assedly with my first so I’m hoping to do better this time around.

N is still a super happy baby. I don't know if it's a third time parent thing or if he's just this chill, but this is nice. He's getting really good at rolling around and loves to be held sitting so he can see everything better. I'm excited to put him in all of these Halloween outfits we've either been given or were my nephew's. He'll be Linus (from Charlie Brown) for Halloween, so he's going to celebrate Halloween week with all his themed outfits.

txaggie08 my third is super chill, too, and so is Ben so far. Although now that my third is 3, he is becoming a bit more high maintenance. But up until that point, I think kids after number two mostly have to learn to go with the flow!

N is pretty interested in getting into things already, so I do think he'll become more high maintenance as he becomes more mobile. Last night he was sitting in his bumbo on the kitchen table while we ate supper and was being really quiet (he's normally pretty chatty) - only because he was trying to take DH's drink!

trtlcrzy I love the themed clothes too but am generally too cheap to buy them with the exception of Christmas pajamas. My sister is not though, and gave me all of my nephew's clothes. He's a May 19 baby, so the sizing is perfect so far!

My older 2 were August and October, so all the theme clothes they had is out of season 😒 I do have a cute knit pumpkin hat I've been putting on G when we go out though.

H cut his first tooth yesterday! It finally peeked out from his gums after a week of so much short temperedness. G has one just about the break through as well. They are much earlier than my firstborn who didn't get a first tooth til like 8 months or so.
They are already 6.5 months which is crazy. They both are sitting up well now, and they love it. H is super into jumping in the jumper, G likes it too but doesn't do as aggressive of a jump yet, haha.
We started a combo of BLW and purees in the last week. They are starting to get into it finally, so that's fun. I forgot how funny baby facial reactions are when trying new flavors for the first time.

I’m pretty sure I said the other day that V was getting close to rolling over from back to belly, well she managed to do it today. She’s very into practicing her newfound trick and rolls pretty shortly after being laid on the floor, especially if she has a toy in her hand she’s nomming on. So cute. willow I was just thinking about teeth. I need to look back and see when my older 2 got their first teeth. I feel like it’s going to be soon-ish.
