What baby or non-baby related goals do you have between now and your due date?

I mentioned this in the randoms thread but my due date is 11/24 but we’re going with a 12/1 date due to my history of going late. My biggest goal before baby comes is to be completely done Christmas shopping for my kids. Ideally I’d have everything wrapped and ready to go because I know it won’t be easy to find the time once baby is here.
I am also hoping to have the DIY Christmas gifts for grandparents finished and wrapped as well. Might be an unrealistic dream but this is where I am for now!

+1 to christmas shopping! i’m due 11/15. i honesty don’t think it’s going to happen. i have a running list on my phone for gifts but there are many holes. i also want to get a bunch of craft stuff for the girls and get the toy room organized. i still just have everything in giant bins from the move (6 months ago!)
in terms of baby - we still need a name. h and i both have ones we like and we talked about it maybe once and couldn’t agree and have just ignored the topic since. boy names are really hard for me and a lot of the ones i like have already been used by close friends and family. dd1 suggested we just wait until he can name himself🤣

Fearsy what diy gifts are you doing? i’m looking for ideas. i’ve done irish cream in the past and also ice cream sundae kits with peppermint hot fudge and salted caramel in the past. i’m thinking non food items would be best this year and i don’t have ideas.

It started as lists of ideas and from there I categorized everything and then decided on a budget for each category. Then I started online shopping. Also learned that lots of kids toys and clothes on Amazon are eligible for the baby registry completion discount so got 15% off a good bit! I think I have 4 more things to buy and then it’s onto wrapping. For baby I’m just going to wrap what we already have. It’s been too long so the girls don’t remember what baby toys we had. I don’t think they’ll notice that it’s all used. And babies need diapers, right? Hopefully wrapping that won’t be weird. 🤷🏻♀️

We’ve done handmade gifts every year since my oldest was born. Partially due to financial reasons with me becoming a SAHM and also because it makes our lives significantly easier to gift the same thing to everyone. This year we’re making these fingerprint glass magnets. The materials were pretty inexpensive and if our newborn family pictures are ready in time, I’ll include a few of those too. rhythmsofplay.com/fingerprint-art-glass-magnets/?utm_source=pinterest&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=social-pug

I think we might be on the “let her name herself” train, too. It’s harder than I thought!

I have a lame goal of organizing my books. We had a bookcase crashing down incident recently. We ended up buying all new cases and haphazardly putting books on them. I need them categorized and alphabetized like now. It’s going to take me forever.
Also want to take care of Christmas shopping. I usually keep an Amazon list year round to help me keep track but completely forgot to set that up this year.

Fearsy those magnets are adorable! going to add the makings to my craft supply list. marigold i also need to organize my books. that sounds so satisfying. my mom helped with unpacking and just put mine wherever on shelves and i have no idea where anything is. another thing i want to get done is building more of a pantry now that i actually have the space. i’m not doing any freezer meals this time (maybe some muffins or breakfast stuff though) but having extra staples on hand has made it such a breeze for crock pot dinners etc. i really just want to cut down the trips to stores i’ve been making once he’s here.

Oh freezer meals. Yes. I want to do that too. I hate cooking though so doing this is always overwhelming and a huge chore for me.
