Episode 16: my heart sunk when the political dude opened the door of the deaf campaign manager. Poor Josh. He seemed so excited. Such a blow.
Also, I enjoyed POTUS' speech at the Hollywood guy. Martin Sheen is so good in this role.

Episode 17: that fight between POTUS and FLOTUS in the Oval Office was intense, but I kinda loved it.
And man, I feel so bad for Charlie and Zoe. I hope they can make things work.

OH MY GOD. I JUST FINISHED SEASON 1 AND MY HEART IS RACING.
Thank God I can move to the next season immediately. I can't imagine having to wait all summer to know who got hit.

Oh! MH is off all this week and next. I was worried he would want the TV some and block my bingeing. Nope! Turns out he's a big fan of TWW. He walked in after dropping N off at daycare mid-episode, got kinda excited, and say right down to watch with me. He even reminded me that it's on Netflix and I need to watch it ASAP since we're cancelling. He also seemed stunned that I'd never seen it. Ironic considering I've always been obsessed with politics and he's been the ambivalent one. That is awesome. My H has been in and out as I've been on my rewatch and he's liked it as much as he does when it comes to TV shows. But every once in while something will happen and he will remark "can you imagine Trump handling this?" or some version of that. It's the closest he'll come to watching it with me lol.

I feel so bad for Charlie though. Did they really have to tell him that he was the target? Ugh. I really enjoyed seeing the flashbacks to how they all ended up together. It was cute.

Continuing my binge.....
I think the Thanksgiving episode is now one of my favorites. From the turkeys, to the running gag of no one wanting to eat dinner with the President, to the Chinese Christian immigrants issue, it was just enjoyable.
My favorite part was when POTUS gave his fancy family knife, made by Paul Revere, to Charlie. Not gonna lie, I cried. It was so heartwarming.

Yeah, CJ is in charge of the....birds I died when she walked into her office the next day. It was fantastic. And then how by the end of the episode she didn't want either one to be eaten? She got so attached, it was adorable.

I don't remember seeing that little fish on CJ's desk with the turkey. Did they move her safely? Do turkeys eat fish? These are the random questions my brain thought of when I was just trying to take a nap.

I just watched the big block of cheese episode from season 2, where CJ meets with the map people. You could watch their minds get blown. And I totally thought about sterling the entire time. And hot damn to that Soviet spy storyline. I cannot imagine finding out years later that my grandfather was a legit spy. Shit.

Just finished the Stackhouse filibuster episode. I LOVED. Hot damn that was a good episode. The senior staff writing letters to their parents? Chef's kiss.
The episode was especially poignant for me, since I'm autistic. I felt seen, heard. And damn, when Stackhouse mentioned how many kids with autism are misdiagnosed, I almost teared up. The psychologist my parents took me too when I was a teenager refused to diagnosis me autism, instead diagnosing me with OCD and depression. Wanna know why he didn't use autism? 1: because I'm a girl, and "it's odd for girls to have autism" (to which my mom epically responded "she's an odd girl"). 2: my teachers liked. That was it. I fit the description of autism to a tee, but no, my teachers liked me and I had a vagina (fact: approximately 20% of autistics are female, but they are more often misdiagnosed because of gender stereotypes regarding social interaction), so I must be fine.
Thank god my mom worked in special Ed for most of my life. I shudder to think of where I would be now if I hadn't had her help. Without an official diagnosis, I couldn't get services at school for autism. Everything I know about social cues, emotions, body language, sarcasm, etc, I learned from my mom or the resources she found for me.

And then join Josh and Hrishi as we kvell, kvetch, and cry over "In Exelsis Deo" and "Noel." Tickets: thewestwingweekly.com/watchparty

I'm on season 3.
Episode 1: The 9/11 episode. Definitely different. I appreciate that they put it together on such short notice, and I also appreciated that they didn't do an outright parallel.
General season 3 observation: I don't remember when I last saw Mandy, but it was definitely before the end of season 2. And I realized during the first few episodes of season 3 that we haven't seen Danny the reporter in awhile. Does he move to Mandyville too? I kinda liked him, so I hope he comes back.
Episode 5: Charlie refusing the immunity deal with the special prosecutor was very brave and loyal.

Also, the ongoing martial issues between Bartlett and Abby are making me nervous. I like them together and will be devastated if they divorce.
Although I am enjoying their argument in S3E6 where they fight via quoting Bible verses. It's very entertaining.
