This is how I feel allll the time.
So, the budget from the Feds is expected to pass this week and one of the benefit programs on it affects my job. I’ve been under so much stress because of it and I’m totally freaked out that they are extending it. It’s a great benefit for people, but the work and lack of resources (people) made for an extremely stressful program. I want to runaway!
Also, I took my kids to get their flu shot. My youngest does just fine. She just gave the nurse a look that could kill and then was good. But my 6 year old is a whole new level of dramatic. I had to hold her in a bear hug and the nurse went to give her the shot and my daughter started screaming blood murder, you’d think we were sawing her arm off. So I also had to cover her mouth so she’d stop screaming. So....mother of the year....I’m laughing the whole time. She’s soooo ridiculous.

It's mostly just the same old same old here. I'm hoping to get J back into play therapy to help him deal with the trauma and transition to a school/daycare. I need to look into therapy for myself and I have an email into my pcp since my mood is...not good and I just feel completely drained. I requested a public file review of our old daycare so I can find out what happened and hopefully get some closure. Z is doing really well at his new daycare. She's doing daily reports through an app and it's nice to see the pictures and videos of him and to know what he's doing throughout the day. Dh just accepted a new job, which will be great for him. He is nervous about putting his notice in.

PennyCandy, I am happy to read that Z is doing well at his new center! Congrats to your H too. Why is he nervous about putting in notice?

Second week of virtual learning. I ended up taking 16 hours of PTO last week as I struggled to balance working from home and facilitating classwork. It's better this week as the kids are more independent. Either MH or I still need to be in the room with them at all times because DD will distract DS1 if left alone. But they are mostly independent with the synchronous learning.
The district allowed an extension on the Chromebooks for push-to-talk. That's a game changer. Now DS1 can use the spacebar to mute/unmute. Kids still developing their fine motor skills were hanging up calls while trying to use the mute button on the screen. DD use an iPad and the district changed the settings so she doesn't have to type in her username and password for each app every time she uses them. These small improvements are nice.
Did I tell you all DS2 ended up in the ER last week? He needed 5 stitches in his chin. He was running to put on his shoes at daycare and fell on the tile floor. He handled it like a champ. No crying at the ER or while getting them removed last night.
DS3 is such ham. He entertains us all every day. He vocabulary is exploding and he really wants to do everything his big siblings do. But with that growth also comes big emotions. His tantrums last seconds, not minutes so he's pretty easy to ignore when he's in a mood.

Zach is very much two years old and therefore very stubborn.
Air quality is horrible again with ash raining down. I hate days like this. I have to ask that the boys be kept inside since they have asthma. It's so thick I choked on it this morning and I can smell it inside the office.

I can't believe how worried I was over her speech a few months ago. Earlier today, she tried to say Submarine while looking at her alphabet book. 😂
