Trying to decide what our next step will be, but I have a follow up with the OB who did my D&C and I think I will make an appointment with my OB in January, see if she has any ideas about why I keep miscarrying, or opinions on what we should do.

Hi all! I haven’t been around in a while. I was not in a great place. We decided to shift away from donor embryos and try another round of IVF. We are starting with a new clinic and it’s out of state so it will be a new experience for us. The clinic has a long wait list so we don’t even have our consult until the end of January.

champagne Is it a far drive for you? I hope the time between now and then goes quickly. Actually, it’s not drivable. We will have to fly, which is a little scary with COVID, but I’m not getting any younger. The clinic is known for out of town patients and will have everything set up for us. Monitoring will be done locally.

Hi all. I haven't checked in for a bit. I had my endometrial biopsy done and samples sent off to test for ERA, endometriosis, and endometritis (these last two are the Receptiva test). Results came back "normal" for Receptiva, so no presence of either endo.
My ERA showed I am pre-receptive by 24 hours, so that means I will start my progesterone 1 day earlier than I normally have.
Scheduling an early February transfer.
I hope something helps because we are running out of options.
Sending love to all of those out there struggling with IF and loss. The holidays are hard.

We had our WTF on Tuesday. There isn’t really a lot besides immune testing left to do and we’re not financially prepared to do that yet. The plan was to do a transfer in January but he threw out doing another Sono since that’s covered (thank you Canada) so we did that yesterday and I do have another polyp, so that will come out In January, hopefully, if we can schedule it for then and if they’re still doing elective surgeries, and then transfer in February. I’m hopeful that that was what f’d up the last transfer and once it’s out we can get me KU, but that might be wishful thinking. We will find out though!

sally I hope they are doing elective surgeries then! May I ask what immune testing they would do? That is a great question... So he had mentioned it before, and the cost, but I don’t remember what all the testing was. This time he said we couldn’t the “big three” for a lesser price, but I can’t read my notes for what that is 😂 natural killer cells is one I’m pretty sure, I can read that, and maybe cytokines? Sorry, I’m not helpful. I think the testing is through the Beer Center so that might be more helpful. Full disclosure, I was looking for articles in it and I came up with one that’s a systematic review/practice guidelines around immunotherapy from the ASRM and it wasn’t favourable towards most things for immune therapy. I think it’s still controversial and there isn’t a lot of research on it, but notadoctor. Others might have more info though.

sally, thank you! I had looked in the to the NK cells test, and there is a lab that does it in Canada (Dynacare) and I called to look into the cost and was told it was free, you just need your doctor to complete the form. However because I am taking a biologic drug for my rheumatoid arthritis my fertility doctor said it wouldn’t be able to be read properly, so I never went further with it. I expected it to be quite expensive, but just in case it was an option, and you could get that one done separately, it may bring the cost of the rest down if you ever wanted to go that route.

sally, I hope clearing out the polyp helps! WRT the NK cells, I think I read somewhere that treatment for it is intralipid infusions, and rather than get tested (fairly expensive, in the states, at least), some people will just get the infusions because it doesn't hurt anything. I'm not sure how accurate that is (I didn't follow-up on it), but it might be worth asking about?

Hi all. Moving over here as I'm on month 10 of trying (CD2) and I'm now 2 months away from being 35. My H had his sperm analysis last month which came back with flying colors. He previously had low morph. I'm scheduled for an HSG in January, but with Covid, I may be pushed since my radiology lab changed their process (you basically have to stay in your car until they call you in, they only allow x amount of patients in at a time, it's a whole thing.) I'm taking a million supplements, following Sperm Meets Egg, and we're moving to a strict Mediterranean diet in January. My RE is suggesting starting Femara once I have the HSG and not moving directly to IUI this time since my H's morph has gotten significantly better. Anyway, hello and I hope for a short stay for everyone. TW: child mentioned
It took over a year to conceive my son, who is 20 months old. We were scheduled for our first IUI when I got pregnant naturally. But I was also 32 at the time.

Welcome lemondrop! I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation (again). It’s great that your H has been able to improve things a lot, hopefully that will be your difference-maker! Good luck with the HSG, I hope it happens on time. I know my practice has changed things a lot for COVID but they still seem to be able to get people in and out so hopefully you aren’t delayed.

My surgery is scheduled! Here’s hoping my area acts right and they don’t have to cancel nonessential surgeries because of COVID. It’s a couple weeks after Christmas so I feel like that might be wishful thinking, but here’s hoping.
