Potty training went great this weekend, I was so optimistic but then he refused to pee on the potty at daycare. I’m pretty sure it’s because he had on a pull-up instead of underwear but I don’t think he’s ready for full-time underwear at daycare... oh well, we will keep trying!

Also, dropping it in here- I'm very newly pregnant! Due in July. Exciting. This kid will be the exact same age gap as we had between DD1 and DD2, and it was PERFECT, so I am hoping this transition is smooth as well. Yay very happy for you! I don't even remember you talking about having a third, haha. You people are crazy, but I like it for you.

Dd is totally potty trained, I just wish I didn't have to go to the bathroom with her anymore. She's almost getting tall enough and long enough arms though, so soon maybe.

B wants nothing to do with potty training at home but pees on the potty a few times at daycare each day. He starts preschool next month and has to be trained by next summer to take field trips. Guess we will get there eventually.

I don't even remember you talking about having a third, haha. You people are crazy, but I like it for you. We have always theoretically wanted a third, but my last pregnancy sucked so much that it really took me a long time to be mentally and physically prepared for another. So... I’m sure in a couple weeks when I’m on the floor moaning with nausea, I will be momentarily questioning our choices. 😂😩 and thank you! I’m... nervous about being ournumbered. But DD1 will be 7.5 when this kid is born, and Dd2 will be almost the exact age DD1 was when she was born, so they will both be somewhat self sufficient and helpful. Have I told you guys that over the summer, DD1 tried to incentivize us to have another? She said she would share a room with DD2 (which will have to happen), and she would make me coffee every day. 🥰

C has been fully potty trained for about ten months now. We go hard right around 2 years old and so far it's worked two for two for us. She had a regression that required diapers over the summer, but it was more related to her injuries and the medications she was on.
We also had a hard goal of only ever having one kid in diapers at a time. There was about a month overlap of both girls in diapers at once, but that's been it, thankfully.

My little guy has covid. ☹️
He woke up Saturday night with a croup cough. The next morning he had just a slight cough but not croup anymore and was 99.4F (so not a “true” fever). I still took him in for steroids so we didn’t repeat the night before. They did a covid “just to rule it out” and the doc and I were both shocked it came back positive. He’s in very good spirits and other than a slight cough you wouldn’t know he was sick.
My H and DS1 are getting tested today just to see if we have to continue trying to keep the boys apart. I’m going to wait to get tested until a few more days (or if I get symptoms). I will be shocked if I don’t get it, because he literally slept (and coughed) on top of me Saturday night.
Part of me hopes we all get it so we have antibodies and the other part is freaked out if we do all get it and if it doesn’t stay mild.

Praying for swift recovery and mild symptoms and antibodies for the whole fam.

I love them though, so I'll muscle through. I extended my leave which definitely helps.

We haven’t touched potty training. E likes to pretend to pee on his brother (🙄) but that’s about it. We’ve talked to him about wearing underpants and peeing on the potty but he’s not that interested yet. I won’t push it until I feel like he’s really ready.
Also, HELL NO to baby number 3 here. I’m 42 years old and way too old for any more babies. These two tire me out enough.

RE #3. We got the letter that our embryo storage fee is due in 90 days and I’m not ready to make a commitment. In my head we should be done but I always wanted 3. It just took so long to get B and we aren’t ready for 3 any time soon and we are getting older. But if we did decide #3 there’s a really good chance it would be impossible to have another biological kid without the embryos we already have. It’s hit me in the feels lately.

I tested positive now. It’s not surprising in the least. I started with mild symptoms on Wednesday, got tested Friday through work and it came back today. I’m still pretty mild, just feels like a cold. That isn’t meant to diminish the seriousness of covid, more so to encourage anyone with a “cold” to get tested. I don’t have a fever, I’m only coughing occasionally and have a bit of a stuffy nose. I also tested negative through a rapid test on Tuesday and then symptoms started Wednesday so rapids aren’t super helpful/reliable if you don’t have symptoms (ds2 tested positive with a rapid but he had symptoms so they do work, just need a person to have higher viral load).

I'm sorry rooskie, I hope you feel better soon jules1614. A friend's husband just tested positive and he had mild cold symptoms as well. If it wasn't for the fact he ended up with no taste or smell , he wouldn't have thought anything about it.

Just seeing this now jules1614- I’m so sorry about you and your LO. How are you both feeling? Did your H or your other little guy catch it too?

Just seeing this now jules1614- I’m so sorry about you and your LO. How are you both feeling? Did your H or your other little guy catch it too? We’re feeling good! Ds2 is feeling great, I feel a tiny bit “out of shape” when going up the stairs but aside that and no smell/minimal taste doing well. My H just tested positive today with the same minor symptoms and we’ll get DS1 tested Wednesday. I’m thankful it’s seemingly minor for us and that we haven’t been around others at all. It puts a wrinkle in schooling for DS1 but we’ll figure it out.
