Because monthly randoms seem to be slow!
I know we are dealing with almost-threenagers and we are busy. What's going on with everyone? I wish I had something to report, but I don't. I decorated the hell out of our house for Halloween, and still have more to go. That's about it.

I'm still super pregnant. I still need to pack my hospital bags... ...and we still have moving boxes to unpack. But we sold our old house last week, we just have to make it to close!

I still have to unpack my hospital bag, lol. I have clothes in a bag, but its super over packed and I know I will want to wash everything when I get home, so I need to unpack and repack with less...and put everything else in there. But other than extra hair ties, lotion, chap stick, and shampoo I'm planning on keeping it pretty simple. And all of the snacks. And a phone charger.

Same old, same old most days here. My big started kindergarten but only goes twice a week because of covid, which bums her out. C is getting OT at home twice a week now for her jacked up hand. Baby be babying. H went back to work about a month ago minus a week off after T was born, but he's "WFH" in the afternoons in order to comply with de-densifying their office, so it's awesome that he's home around 12:30 everyday. I say "WFH" because even though he's on the clock he's asleep in the recliner currently.
We went apple picking last night and E and I just put a bunch in the IP to make homemade applesauce. I've never made it before, so we'll see how it comes out. She put A LOT of cinnamon in, lol.

I'll probably wear the hospital gown until I get a shower so I'm really only planning on one pair of pjs, a lounge outfit for the day after, and yoga pants and a top for going home. For shirts I put in the maternity ones that don't fit and maternity tank tops. H will be home with B as soon as I'm comfortable, so he can always bring me back anything I need.

Hello Hello. We are slowly attempting potty training over here. Not a lot of progress so far though. I saw your decorations on IG thatgolfb and I feel like I need to step my outdoor decorating game up. We have a skeleton and some ghosts, but that's about it. It was cooling off a bit here but it looks like a hot weekend coming up. We were going to attempt a pumpkin patch, but it might seem too hot. Maybe next weekend. We've already gotten Halloween costumes, but I'm not sure if we will do any TOTing. The kids usually just like playing in them anyway so they will get used. So CLOSE rooskie! Yay babies! Your H sounds like mine when he was WFH in the spring cnf. A lot of video game playing "working" was involved. lol

But I'm not complaining.

That looks so good cnf! Can't wait to get the baby news rooskie! Not much has been happening in my neck of the woods. I have just been trying to get back into the grove of being back at work. Remote and in person teaching is kicking my butt. There is so much work to set things up so the remote are doing the same thing as the in person. The town next to where I teach has shut down two weeks due to an outbreak. There are a lot of people who work in the same town as the outbreak so we are already in planning mode just in case we do need to close. Last weekend we went apple picking and got pumpkins so we are feeling the fall spirit. We are just hanging out this weekend. My house is a wreck and I need to get it in line.

Hi hi!!! Good luck rooskie! Not much to update here. Our preschool moved forward with actual classes after Labor Day so rather than the kids being together, DD moved up to the PK classroom and DS now has more kids his age in PS. They are doing well. He’s still having trouble with many letter sounds, but teacher is not worried at all and said his actual communication at his age is really amazing. So yay! Otherwise I’ve pretty much resigned that flying home to the Midwest for Xmas won’t happen. My mom is going to come out in November just before DD’s bday so we will do a joint bday dinner with her for the kids. Luckily she can WFH the week before to quarantine, and I booked her on Southwest since they are still keeping middle seats open. I have to branch out of my covid concern a little and make this calculated risk; this will be the first I see any of my family in a year. And instead of seeing many people in IA and 4 of us flying, at least this will be one person flying and being as safe as she can.

Yes I definitely feel at some point, small risks to see family are better than keeping apart indefinitely! I hope she has a safe trip 😄

Hello all! We are having a huge Covid surge in our state, and in our area in particular. So of course I’ve been killing myself slowly by picking up extra hours at work because we’ve been super busy.
The boys are good. Ds1 is loving 1st grade and C is doing great with speech therapy. He still has a lot of abnormal speech sounds but we can get the gist of what he’s saying now. Once he ages out of birth-3 he’ll start speech classes at an elementary school. So crazy to think that our baby will be starting school soon!

All four fingers have pretty bad scarring, plus the graft harvest site scar which is a gnarly shade of purple still. OT is working on her contractures and making progress, but because she's so young and little it'll be an ongoing battle, likely until she's done growing. So that fun. She doesn't have pain and uses it normally at least.

I’ve been thinking of you (in a non-creepy way of course!). So far down here we aren’t overwhelmed but I’ve been hearing that the hospitals up north are slammed so I’m just bracing for it. DS1 is still loving kindergarten and ds2 has made good progress with speech therapy. DS1 is obsessed with Halloween so we put up our indoor decorations a few days ago. Now he’s asking for outdoor stuff so I may need to go shopping! I love your set-up cnf!

That’s so sweet of you jules1614. I was watching Rachel Maddow last night and it was so surreal hearing her talk about northeast Wisconsin. She mentioned my city and the health org I work for by name. Trump is coming to lead rallies in Green Bay and La Crosse this weekend. What a mess.

Thank you!
Juliana Rose was born Thursday 10/1 at 3:25pm. 7lb 15oz 20.5” long. She’s been super sleepy so we have had to work a lot on nursing. Other than that she is perfect and labor was way easier.
Big brother on the other hand has been a train wreck since we got home Friday. Friday night he was up until 3:15am and tonight it was 11:30. We are all exhausted.

rooskie, N had a huge transitioning period when we had E. In fact, he STILL has a lot of jealousy. But it does get better over time. Having N go to preschool and keeping him in his regular schedule helped a lot. Before you know it, you guys will fall into a routine.
