I used to game heavily but gave it up when I had a kid. Now, I like experimenting with food and trying new recipes/dishes. I love to read, and I would guess volunteering would be a hobby. Whenever we move, I basically become a walking encyclopedia of local resources and knowledge to assist soldiers and families that transition to the area. I enjoy gathering, collecting, and updating this information.

I cross stitch (haven’t really since DD was born, though), read, and crochet. I want to try knitting again, and one day, learn to embroider (part selfishly because DD’s name tends to go over the character limit for most personalized items 🙄)

I read, this has been since high school. Nails but this is on and off since teens, currently on as a self care item. I used to do puzzles but don’t really have the room but I’d love to now again. Getting into organizing. Planned from Jan to April then it went to shit. Yoga (does that count?)
I wish I hiked. I can crochet basics like blankets and pot holders scarves etc. I’m the worst with measuring bc sweaters I made my girls when they were in the womb I just found them and they fit as ten year olds and I made them for when it was fall and they were three months old. So.

Another horseback rider here, although i sold my last horse when I was pregnant with DS1 so I haven’t done it consistently since then.
Right now, my hobbies are reading and running. But you guys have reminded me that I want to add puzzles to that mix.

Jigsaw puzzles are my jam. I try to keep them only to winter months, because they suck up my entire life when I have one going. It's the only time my mind quiets down.
Reading Magazines Exercise (running & crossfit) Cooking (NOT baking) Planners/planning Organizing
I'd really love to learn to knit and I need to work some yoga into my routine.

I write novels and do puzzles. I started ice skating again two years ago but haven't gone since covid. I miss it.

Sudoku (probably not a surprise), reading, baking, sewing, and sometimes jigsaw puzzles.
I haven't done a jigsaw puzzle since quarantine, because DS has needed so much attention, but I miss it.

I’ve also really struggled with reading this year. I think I’ve read 3 books so far, usually I hit around 15-25 a year It’s so weird. I just can’t focus. I’ve had this problem this year as well and have reverted to re-reading old favorites and reading lots of YA and fluffy books. It’s helped a lot.

My top ones have always been reading and running. During quarantine times I took up needlepoint because I found it very relaxing. So now I’m a needlepointer. Currently working on a belt for MH, which he will probably never wear, but brings me joy. I’ll do one for the boys next.

Crochet. Knit. Read.
And most recently, decorating cookies. I'm hoping to start a side business selling cookies.

my top hobbies are cooking, baking and peloton/cycling. I love hobbies and dabble in so much random shit though, just inconsistently lol. bullet journaling, crafting, puzzles, tennis.
I have a lot of unfocused creative energy. One day its craft cocktails, the next it's painting, the next I'm trying to cook something from every country. I envy those with focus but I also think I've accepted that I am just a dabbler sort of person.

Sewing is my main one. I sew clothing and masks and plushies and whatever else sounds fun. I also garden and love to bake. And playing Animal crossing currently, lol.

I was really hoping to hear more about your rafting. It’s like a spiritual thing, it can’t be taught. I can see it coming so naturally to you that you casually knit down the waterways, combining hobbies.

My brain has been fried in the creativity department since dd2 was born (6yrs ago), but even more so this past year. Despite that, I have started writing and trying to get something typed every day, even if it's just a sentence. There's been a lot of "one sentence" days.

I like writing. Reading. Baking. I love learning new languages. I have always loved German and Spanish, and I've recently added Russian and Turkish as languages that intrigue me. But that's mostly because we have so many similar words and it would be easy to learn lol. Religion has always been a part of my life and I enjoy reading about it, especially in English to strengthen my vocabulary and explanation skills when/if someone asks me about it.
Boy, I sound like an absolute blast. 😂

I guess cooking is a hobby. I really enjoy doing it and trying new recipes; I just don't generally have the time to commit to it, outside of cooking dinner every night.

I just want to say I enjoyed reading about everyone's interests. I enjoy making scrapbooks and am currently working through my DD1's first year (she is 5.5), but it is so hard with time/space constraints. I am super glad I picked it back up though because it is a nice screen-free way to destress and be slightly crafty.

Reading (I've loved reading since I first starting learning how) is my #1.
Working out, especially since the pandemic is a close second.
Other things I enjoy: TV (probably way too much), listening to music, and genealogy.
I'm also trying to get back into a former passion (and something I did and do want to make a life/career goal) - writing, so I'm kicking things off this evening with writing prompts and see where I go from there.

All you puzzle people need to get one of these. Game. Changer.

mothafuckinteatime, I've got a puzzle board, which is similarly awesome; it's bulkier to store, but since it's rigid I can put it on our ottoman in the living room and work on puzzles there without a table. BEST part though is it came with 4 smaller trays to sort pieces on. God I love that feature. H ordered me a new puzzle as a surprise so I guess I'm going to start back up again.

Thanks to this thread I picked up my knitting needles today 🧶 it’s finally gotten cooler here, so I asked the kids what they wanted for hats. DD wanted “a white hat with a bun”. We chose a cable pattern and then I’ll add a “bun” (pom-pom) to it.
Besides knitting my main hobbies are reading and running, although I recently also reconnected with cross-stitch.

All you puzzle people need to get one of these. Game. Changer. I have one of these but I don't care for it- maybe I got a crappy kind? If I roll it up everything breaks apart. The one I have was like $10 at a random gift shop. I need my husband to build me one of those fancy puzzle tables from Pinterest

Does reading real estate and home improvement forums count? I started about 2 years ago as we were wrestling with the decision whether to renovate or buy/move. Ultimately we went with renovate, but I have not stopped reading these forums and in all likelihood will continue to do so.
My other hobbies include travel planning and photo editing. After each trip I curate the pictures and create a photo book.

Debating Photography Reading Hiking Film studies and watching movies (and shows) Gaming — mostly PC, but console as well. I like MMOs and RPGs. Collecting ticket stubs, mostly films — my oldest is The Lion King. Collecting niche and indie perfumes. I’ve been an avid collector for 17 years. Collecting artisanal oud and sandalwood oils, afar wood and attars Artisanal and botanical perfumery — I’ve been studying it for going on five years. It’s both challenging and rewarding. I enjoy coming up with concepts and creating formulas, but as with any art, it’s a definite learning process and there’s hits and misses. Writing Studying — I enjoy studying whatever piques my interest or curiosity and I tend to go all in.
I want to take up gardening when we move in the future.

Reading and listening to audiobooks (possibly too much).
Writing bad poetry and short stories (haven’t been doing as much with this lately...).
Cooking, love to test out new recipes or perfect regulars.
Learning about wine (it’s my dream to be a sommelier someday).
Volunteering (however I wasn’t the best committee member tonight....I jumped off that conference call the moment I could).
Vacation planning (even though Covid has put a pause on that I’m still researching spring/summer 2021....and some localish getaways throughout the year).
