I have a favorite recipe, but it’s more of a Cincinnati style chili and I don’t need y’all complaining about it. So I’m nervous about sharing lol.

bunnyfungo, I finally made Cincinnati chili and I liked it! So did my husband. He had never had it either. Even my kids ate it because....spaghetti.

But I use the flavor profiles of chocolate, cinnamon, honey etc along with normal chili spices. It’s been divisive on my BMB lol. But I come from the land of cinnamon rolls with chili so I feel like screaming, this is why! The flavor profiles go hand-in-hand. Sorry to de-rail the thread with my chili feels.

We have a chili cook-off in my area every fall. Its a huge event, like a fair. I have no idea if it's happening this year but I'm not going and I'm so sad. I've had some uh-mazing chilis there.

Organizing and planning are my hobbies.
I am in several planner groups and kind of a big deal. I have a planner IG as well.

Hand sewing/embroidery of felt quiet book pages. I took home a best in show ribbon at our county fair for the one I made DD. I love how detailed and creative I can get. I'll probably make them even when the kids are grown because I have a ton of ideas and they are really fun to make. Since I hand sewer and embroider them it's a slow go and a labor of love.

I play violin. I used to play in a group at nursing homes and farmers markets, but COVID kind of killed that. I've felt comfortable playing at church lately and it makes my heart happy.
I really love cooking and baking when my kids are not afoot and I can make whatever I want. My mom recently told me I'm a better cook than she is which is about the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me - her cooking is wonderful.
I picked up gardening during the pandemic. I used to be in agriculture and hated coming home and "working" more, so my gardens always sucked. Now I've had time and my kids are almost old enough to get excited about helping so gardening and canning have become family activities. I may or may not send MH links to land for sale within 30 miles of here for our future hobby farm he has no idea about.

Machine embroidery but I turned that into a business so I don’t know if it’s really a hobby still? I love it though.
I used to be really into running but I was too injury prone and never got back into it after I had a stress fracture. I love my peloton.

I ride horses. It’s my hobby first and foremost, but I also teach lessons and train horses as a side business. This is something that I would love to get into. My girls are all horse obsessed and we have talked a lot about getting even more land so we could have livestock and maybe someday some horses. But, growing up in a city, I know nothing. I’ve thought about offering the farm down the road from us to do chores in exchange for knowledge, would that be weird? Am I going to scare off my neighbors? Or where does an adult learn this stuff? One of the great things about the horse world is the opportunity to learn, if you are willing to put the work in. It totally worth reaching out to the neighboring farm. I have a couple of adult and teenage students that will prep horses for me and take them when I’m done on days that I have a million to ride in exchange for lessons and learning opportunities. I’m so grateful for their help and genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge with those who want it!

I’ve gotten into paint by sticker books. My oldest does them too. It’s very relaxing. Bullet journaling (I love habit trackers and book trackers and doodling on pages) Baking Does working out count? I take a really fun dance cardio class. Learning the moves and the fun music make me look forward to going. Great stress reliever! Do they have adult sticker bokks? DD has some we found at the dollar store that I thought were super fun. She was less than impressed.

I figured at the very least they wouldn’t mind someone volunteering to shovel shit lol

I'm not really a creative crafty person but the things I do to relax and take up my time are Reading Hiking and kayaking Gardening Baking and cooking
I have some coloring books and word searches when I need something to do with my hands
During quarantine I made a tiny library model from a kit and I really enjoyed that process. I have been looking at a few other similar models

I used to love playing video games and watching bad or scary movies on Sunday afternoons with a beer or two, but I haven't been able to do that in years. I'm really looking forward to my golden years when I can really focus on all my hobbies. I will buy every fucking video game system there is and won't share it with anyone.

Reading, but honestly, I haven’t really been able to read during the pandemic. I don’t know why, but I’ve read like 3 books in 6 months.
My new hobby that I started this week is sewing. Wish me luck!

I try new hobbies, buy tons of stuff to start, and then abandon them pretty quickly. I’ve tried crocheting, knitting, sewing, soap-making, and plenty of other things I’ve forgotten along the way. My latest is gardening.

Since the pandemic started, I’ve gotten into reading cheesy murder mysteries.
I’ve always imagined I would pick running up as a hobby someday, but every time I try to get into it I still hate it.
I think my other hobby is thinking about all of the hobbies I want to start someday when I have more free time.

@sheliathetank, yes! I buy these adult ones. I was buying the same type but kid version for my oldest but now he does the adult ones too. Paint by Sticker: Travel: Re-create 12 Vintage Posters One Sticker at a Time! www.amazon.com/dp/0761193634/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rz.zFbDHBS1ZPI also found another similar kind at Barnes and Noble for adults.

Most consistently, I read. Part time hobbies I have include sewing projects, puzzles, and crafts. I really enjoy any sort of “by number” art kit whether it’s stickers or coloring or those diamond things.

Birding! Hiking. Gardening.
For indoor stuff it’s mostly genealogy, reading, and random craft/sewing projects whenever I feel inspired.
