Does reading and jigsaw puzzles count?! I do a lot of both. I’m not a very creative person, so I tend to do more passive hobbies-forest preserve walking, reading, etc.

My new to me hobby this year has been gardening. Being outside as much as I can during a pandemic has been good for my mental health. I’ve learned a ton and already have plans on what to do differently next year. But the winter is going to be rough. I ordered myself a watercolor subscription box that I’m going to try out and hopefully that can be something to do with my hands while it’s negative a billion degrees for the next 6 months.

Not any one in particular, but I enjoy making things myself. I love baking and decorating the kids birthday cakes and making their hallowe’en costumes. I like tending to the garden or researching how to fix the fridge or washer and successfully getting it done alone. I’m a jack of all trades, master of none. Everything I make myself is imperfect, but that’s part of what I love about each little project.
I’d like to learn how to sew well and knit.

Reading and crocheting are currently my two top hobbies; but its one or the other right now since time is scarce between working, the kids, the house. Cooking/baking is also a hobby so I am trying to incorporate that by meal planning / trying out new recipes but since I have to cook its not as much fun.

I got super into gardening a few years ago. It has been both rewarding and healthy. This year I got into flowers and I look forward to fruit trees in spring.
I also got into bullet journaling. Aside from the practice itself which I find really helps with my anxiety- the world of stationary and fountain pens and sketching has also been really fun to explore as a natural extension.

I ride horses. It’s my hobby first and foremost, but I also teach lessons and train horses as a side business.

My girls are all horse obsessed and we have talked a lot about getting even more land so we could have livestock and maybe someday some horses. But, growing up in a city, I know nothing. I’ve thought about offering the farm down the road from us to do chores in exchange for knowledge, would that be weird? Am I going to scare off my neighbors? Or where does an adult learn this stuff?

Anyways, I would need something that comes to me with everything I need for a project.

I got one for the kids because this month has a couple of space themed projects and I would love to frame them for my kids’ space room. I’ve been in their Facebook group forever and just finally pulled the trigger. The tutorials are all on YouTube if you don’t want to get the box and just want to get supplies yourself.

I consider planning my hobby. It’s both something that keeps us on track and let’s me be creative with spreads.
I also do hand and brush lettering. Not at like an Etsy side hustle level, but maybe some day!

My newish hobby is jigsaw puzzles- I started doing them as a way to stop myself from aimlessly scrolling on my phone at night and I became addicted. Running when I’m not injured

Like 40 million other people I got into baking during lockdown and I discovered I love it, and am actually good at it.
I don’t know if it counts as a hobby but last winter as a family we started snowshoeing.

I’ve gotten into paint by sticker books. My oldest does them too. It’s very relaxing.
Bullet journaling (I love habit trackers and book trackers and doodling on pages)
Baking
Does working out count? I take a really fun dance cardio class. Learning the moves and the fun music make me look forward to going. Great stress reliever!

Does Facebook stalking people count? I'm also a connoisseur of Netflix and YouTube.
But for real.... I've tried a bajillion different things and nothing really stuck. But if I had to pick one it'd be baking. I like eating the stuff I make.

I draw, play video games, and read comics.
I doodled this at work today and I'm pretty pleased with it even though it's not totally perfect.
poof
My hobby personality is getting really obsessed with an activity for like 72 hours and then ignoring it completely for the next 2-3 months. Rinse and repeat.

During quarentine my H and I got into finding and identifying mushrooms. We have foraged edible ones like chanterelles and chicken of the woods. Dorky but it's like a treasure hunt every time we go for a walk on a trail!

Horseback riding has been my hobby my entire life. Sadly my mare has bad knees so I never ride anymore, and it’s really fucking depressing.
I also read but haven’t been lately, I should get back into it.
I would love to learn how to cross stitch and/or knit.
