www.halloween2020.org/Has a map of us with color coded counties based on covid risk in the area. and a click for suggestions depending on color. Although I'm not sure how great some of the ideas are. DH and I are thinking of having a fire in the front yard, doing a little decorating. dh and I can enjoy a fire and some beer and hot dogs or something. Last year I only had one group of trick or treaters, so I don't expect much of anyone to show but I'll put prefilled goodie bags of candy out on a table or maybe hanging from a "clothesline" where kids can take a bag if anyone shows up. And if nobody shows up, too bad.

This is cute. I don't know who would take on the organization of such a thing in my town (NOT ME), but I would 100% follow these guidelines if someone else did it.

That's pretty neat. We're doing a trunk or treat with a select group of families on our friends' very long drive way. MIL and aunt are stopping by in full costumes do see the kids and drop off some candy and some chili which she makes every Halloween.

I saw a guy on the today show that in the past made a luge type thing out of mailing tubes on the railing of the stairs leading up to his house. He would drop the candy in the tube and the kid would get it at the other end. I might steal that is we have TOT.

I like the idea of a clothesline or a spider web with treats clipped on it, too.
