Earlier this week it was nice out, so I put in a short sundress. I looked good and was feeling myself.
I put on my AirPods and since I felt cute and younger I blasted an old Taylor Swift album and played an upbeat song (shake it off). My headphones weren’t really working, I could only hear a bit out of one side so I put the volume on full blast and continued my walk. A lot of people were looking at me and I thought I was working it.
What I didn’t realize is that my AirPods never connected so I was walking around paris with a mini boom box of sorts, blasting Taylor Swift and strutting. Still cringing.

Yesterday I was so flustered with first day of school that I put my dress on backwards. It was very noticeable when I realized it later... At 1 pm. Definitely went out and about and saw lots of people. In a backwards dress.

My H will be away on a business trip the 2 days the kids are in school next week so I am giving myself the day off. The only thing I can think of to do is get my flu shot and schedule a vet visit for the dog. Then maybe log into work incognito and get stuff done. 2020 has broken me. Any suggestions for what I should do between 8 am - 2:30 pm?

IDK it's hard to find things that you're comfortable doing bc of that bitch Rona. Read in a beautiful metro park? I struggle with finding ways to 'treat myself' during these days.

i was watching a house hunting show that was in the same town that my long-term ex bought a house after we broke up. i was shocked at how much they were paying so i went ahead and looked up my ex's house to learn that the value has nearly doubled in less than 10 years. that guy is a douche, but he's not dumb.

I’ve just been feeling so overwhelmed that I burst into tears on my run today. And the song playing was Shaggy’s Boombastic. Which is pretty ridiculous.

My molar had a real rough patch on the top after eating dinner on Sunday. I brushed 2x before bed, tried to pick at the spot and brushed the next morning, but it was still there. I figured it was an issue with my filling so I made an appointment the next morning. A few hours later, I touched the spot with my tongue and it was gone. So glad I didn't go to the dentist for food stuck in my teeth.

I've been working hard on diet and exercise this summer and have lost 14 lbs since late June. I was on a run yesterday and I got cat-called by a passing car, and I actually liked it. It felt like a high five of encouragement.

I was bummed about not being able to go inside my kid's new preschool in the beginning but I am already embracing the outside drop off on day 3. It's so much quicker, even with a bit of queuing for check-in, and it's actually a bit easier to hand over the clingy kid at the gate rather than dealing with the stalling and whatnot inside. If this goes on into the colder months, which I imagine it will, I am also looking forward to not dealing with getting all the outerwear off and on.

After whining all morning that he doesn't want to go to daycare, he also wouldn't want to go home at the end of the day and would take forever to get ready to go. Only if they would do curbside and I could just throw him in and out of the car!

I plan to spend my free time today watching the Paris Hilton documentary on her YouTube channel. I was a huge fan in the early 2000s, like embarrassingly so.

I am a walking social media cliche. I set a calendar alert on my phone so I’d remember to take a 39 weeks in/ 39 weeks out photo with my baby on Monday.

My confession is while I know my relationship right now is not ideal and pretty much at dumpster fire stages, I don't end it because I've fairly convinced myself I'm just not going to do any better.*
*I promise I am not looking for hair pats or anyone to convince me otherwise. This is just my factual confession for today.
