I'm hoping it's negative and just a brief bug! I'm going with the idea that it's one of those traditional viruses that children are superspreaders for and that our DC's COVID procedures are in fact adequate for COVID. I hope so too and it likely is given numbers in your area...
But like...wtf viruses, how are we catching you when we're over-washing and wearing masks? It makes me a bit nervous.
I'm super interested to see what flu season is like - considering no one SHOULD pass it around since we are all taking precautions.

I’m also annoyed with kids clothes being gendered. It’s dumb. I saw that Old Navy has some gender neutral kids clothes now though, so that’s cool!

its been a while since we all agreed on the annoyingness of kids clothes Remember when we would fight about baby clothes' butt size? Some people were all, "How can I find clothes to fit over my baby's giant cloth booty?!" and other people were all, "Go up a size and just put clothes on them that fit!" Those were simple times.

Right?! I fully expect the flu season to be mild (and that has been the case in southern countries that have already had their flu season). But the current state of illness in my house gives me pause. In reality all of the social distancing/etc rules are to prevent super spreading events (looking at you Sturgis), but aren't really in place to prevent one on one transmissions if you're just unlucky enough to walk by someone when they sneeze in your face. A 0.6 transmission rate still means that SOME people are getting sick.

A 0.6 transmission rate still means that SOME people are getting sick. So the thing with the flu is that it actually travels. It goes from the northern hemisphere to the southern and then back again. So because they've had a mild flu season (likely because of Covid measures) it means that our flu season is likely to be very mild as well. ^ information as per my father the statistician.
