Question for Peloton folks. I have the app which I use on my phone. But if I wanted to do yoga is there a way to get it to stream on my TV? Like do they have a TV app or something? I got an hdmi adapter that hooks up to my phone so I can project it on the tv. When I did this, it wasn’t chrome cast compatible, but I think they might be now.

Good morning!
1st day with students this morning, so I wanted to get the day started off on the right foot so I got a three mile run in. It was so humid and it felt a little miserable, but I got it done and I feel good now! I’ll be doing my 30 minutes of strength on my lunch break. It’s legs and flutes today.

I didn't see a Chromecast icon on my app when I looked last night. I ended up casting the yoga to my television from the computer but the signal cut out twice. I'll probably download the app on my iPad for next time.

I love the weather starting to get cooler because it means oatmeal for breakfast every morning. It makes me a little nostalgic for going into the office though. I make it with almond milk and today I added frozen blueberries, shredded coconut and flaxseed. Mmm it was so good.
I've only done 15 and 20 minute rides on the bike up to this point, but it's a new month. Today I think I'm going to try a 30 minute advanced beginner ride with Cody.

Whew. Getting back into the swing of things with school and sports requires lots of meditation on my morning drive. Whewwwwwwwwwwww. We have games tonight and today was a special morning for DS before school so I skipped cycle at 5:45. I brought my running clothes so I am going to run at lunch today. I didn't have time to make a great breakfast (see getting back into the swing of things lol) B: dunkin ham, egg and cheese on english muffin + cold brew with almond milk L: side ceaser, lemon herb tuna salad, carrots and hummus (at least I packed my lunch!) S: protein shake D: going out for mexican after DS's game. I'll get a taco salad no shell and try my hardest to stay away from chips!
ETA: I am going to do a 10 min arms video before bed tonight

Apparently deadlifts are going bye bye for a while anyway. Apparently I am living in the land of bench and back work for a while.
Did decent on food yesterday. Not sure what is for lunch but have a couple options in mind.

did a short 30 min run this morning.
my H has committed to working out in the mornings, so even though we can't run together (because children) and he'll mostly be lifting anyway, him getting his butt up will make me want to compete with him anyway. so i'm looking forward to that. it's been really difficult to get up lately. i've been quite undisciplined with that recently, so i just need to eb consistent with it again to make it a habit. it's just so... dark again.

remember yesterday when i said one of my goals was to schedule all my doctors appointments? well i scheduled one for today. I now have 3 more to schedule thanks to today. 1 with a general surgeon due to a abdominal hernia that is growing. 1 with imaging for a mri of my knee. as my knee / leg has been hurting for over a month. and the third with a derm due to constant itching that we tried to treat with cream and that didn't work. Don't get old ladies. this sucks. anyways. Today was speed drills - 3.4 miles completed. I made my own playlist again and was really impressed with the transition between beastie boys shake your rump to bell biv devoe's poison. frankly i was a bit impressed with some other transitions as well; overall it was a great playlist.

20 minutes of cardio and 10 minutes of core work yesterday, and today was a 30 minute pop fun run with Jess. The playlist was all female pop artists, it was a good one. For the early morning runs, I do the same slightly hilly route near my house. I was dying the first few times and it’s finally starting to get a little easier, which is nice.

Trying to incorporate yoga now since I’ve been cleared for it. And also because ITS NEVER GOING TO STOP RAINING! Pretty proud though that I’ve had a salad everyday and have upped my healthy fats as well.

I did Ally's 30-min Cher Ride (from 6/13/19) and Matty's 20-min Pop Full Body Strength (from 8/3/20). Both were tough, especially Matty's sequence of plank rows with dumbbell drag, doing a one-sided mountain climber, and then push-up combo.
So I am decidedly spent right now.

thanks! doing it alone would be fine. i awkwardly managed my way through many Shaun T things that i had no business doing lol. but if my H was doing it with me i'd probably feel self-conscious (having ZERO to do with him - all internal on my side) so maybe i just don't invite him to this one ;-)

Did the 30 minute Cody ride tonight. Trying to get to 75 rides by Saturday- I’m at 69 now. I’m heading to my parents house on Sunday to have some help from my parents while my DH is away for a work trip. I’m going to miss my bike! I’m going to try and fit in yoga and/or meditation every day. I want to give strength training on the app a try too. I miss my group classes at the gym!!!! Eating has been awful. So that’s my goal for September. I know being away from home will make it hard but I just need to cut all the extra junk calories. It’s out of control. And start getting in more water! Aw, I was on that ride, how did I miss you! Are you using the HIH hashtag? Are you on the spreadsheet? Sorry we missed an opportunity to ride together. I feel like being on the West Coast it's a bit harder to get to the live rides when everyone else is. I’m at 96 rides so I’m hoping to do 100 on Saturday as well. I don’t think I’m on the spreadsheet #shoeaholic. I had already looked at that 1:30 EST class so i think I’ll take that. I just added #HIHcrew to my profile!

I am just going with it and hope that I am doing something right. I do feel it in my core though because of all the rotating.

HIIT and core today. If anyone needs a killer ab workout Madeline Moves is the way to go. Those regularly make me regret everything. In the best way, of course.
I’m laying on the floor because I’m way too gross to go near the furniture and too tired to shower yet.

My new favorite breakfast/early lunch is plain Greek yogurt with fruit and a tsp of honey. It's just sweet enough. I do this for “dessert” a lot. Plain greek yogurt, a touch of honey, frozen strawberries, and shaved dark chocolate. Just sweet enough to satisfy me.

I’m still around. Same programming, different day. I saw that the program I follow will be adding new programming that includes lifting and cardio so I’m curious to see what that’s about.
I’ve been lagging on cardio but did stop skipping the metcon type portions of what I do because I need cardio in my life. My body says so. Since I don’t have the cardio machines I’ve been running for any part that has row, ski, or bike.
I’ve reigned in nutrition. Maybe, just maybe I’ll lose the 10lbs I need to lose to feel like myself again.

I usually stick to my BMB (and TTC before that), but I could really use the motivation...Hope it's ok if I join in! I just hit 3rd trimester, and my miles/endurance are steadily decreasing. My goals are to continue regularly working out and to stop paying attention to miles/pace (easier said than done!). I ran a virtual half last month- PR for slowest ever 😂, but it felt so great. Run 3x/week Walk 7x/week Prenatal barre 2x/week Stick with meal planning Oh hi. We are the same person. I just made my body work way too hard up until delivery. Dropping miles and pace during third trimester was a difficult physical and mental struggle. When are you due? Congratulations!

I had to opt out of my running club's September miles challenge, because I know I'll see everyone else's numbers and push myself. Do you think your activities made a difference with labor? I wasn't nearly this active when I had DS, so I'm curious to see what happens.

Wow, September, where did the summer go? I am so ready for the humidity to break for good and for cooler temps. It has been especially humid here lately and it makes outdoor activities no fun. I had a great month of workouts in August, but food was crap. Same story, different month. After reading the positive reviews from some of you about Noom, I decided to give it a go. I kind of hate the food log, but maybe I'll get used to it with time. It just seems really clunky compared to MFP or even WW. I do like the daily lessons, though, and that is something I need right now. September goals: -continue with my same workout plan: strength 3-4x a week and Peloton for cardio. Add in regular outdoor walks when the weather gets nicer -track every day in Noom -complete all of the Noom lessons -cut way way back on the junky treats and sugar I have been eating. It's killing my progress and also making me feel sluggish My ultimate goal that I hope to accomplish by the beginning of 2021 is to get back to a comfortable weight and then switch over to more of an intuitive eating plan. I have been doing NOOM for the past 5 weeks. I did WW in the past and while the point system was good, I actually feel like NOOM keeps me focused on my food categories. I’m more mindful of what I select to eat and like to have to work a little harder. Makes me think more. I also like the lesson readings. I’m not one to do meetings but i do like the psychology portion of NOOM that gets behind the whys and what’s of eating.
