Age- 10 weeks tomorrow
Updates - girlfriend has been crabby in the evenings for the last week, I believe it’s part of her leap and I would be happy if she would stop. Today is my last official day of maternity leave, my first shift back is tomorrow evening. I’m ready for it, work is a nice break from my family for a few hours plus I don’t have to deal with crabby baby. V is getting a lot more chatty and it’s so cute. Both big girls are back at school 🙌🏻
Milestones/ Appts - nothing to report

Age- 14 weeks
Updates - things are pretty good around here. Little dude likes to throw us for an occasional loop with his routine, but for the most part he has a great sleep schedule. He's getting more interactive with us (talking and yelling and laughing) and his toys (grabbing them, hitting/kicking the hanging ones, etc). Tummy time is improving, and I'm using it as a reminder for my own workouts (I get on the floor and do pushups and stuff next to him).
Anyone else have a super drooly baby? Between the drool and blowing spit bubbles we go through multiple bibs a day.
Milestones/ Appts - had physio for his flat spot this morning. They are super happy with his progress and are putting our file on hold (no more appointments but we are still a patient so can call if I have any concerns and want him seen).

Age - 3.5 months Updates - I’ve been trying to move up Ben’s bedtime. He has tended to go to bed late - like between 10 and 11 pm, but now we’ve gotten to between 8:30 and 9, so that’s nice. We’re mostly back to one wake-up (vs sleeping all night) but he usually goes back to sleep easily. I’m going to try to keep moving bedtime earlier. Oh, and I took the little fabric sling thing out of the baby bathtub and he’s so excited and loves kicking like crazy - it’s the cutest thing. Milestones - nothing really Pic - from this morning

Age- 20 weeks
Updates - H was fitted for his helmet last week and we get it on Sept 9. Hoping his stint in the helmet is brief. We are officially SNOO graduates and the babies sleep in the crib full time now. So that is nice, though I already miss the SNOO. lol. They aren't doing badly in the cribs but the SNOO was just so nice.
Milestones/ Appts - Nothing until 6 months for appts aside from H's helmet stuff. H sleeps on his belly all the time now, he loves it.

willow, why did you graduate from the Snoo? Just out of curiosity for our future Did they outgrow it, or did you want to save the money since they were ok in the crib? Or another reason?

willow , why did you graduate from the Snoo? Just out of curiosity for our future Did they outgrow it, or did you want to save the money since they were ok in the crib? Or another reason? I just felt like they were ready. They weren't too big or anything. I was waiting to see how their 4 month regression would go, and because of the snoos, it has been pretty mild. It didn't really seem like the constant motion was doing anything for them anymore, so we tested by doing 2 days of the weaning mode and that was pretty good. They also have been napping in their cribs for about 3 weeks and I knew they could sleep ok with their arms out, and their startle reflexes were gone. So we went to the crib with footed jammies and a normal halo sleep sack and it's been fine! I followed the snoo FB groups pretty closely and it seemed like a lot of parents said you could kind of just tell when the SNOO was no longer doing anything beneficial and the babies were ready. It was hard to make the decision though. I was so tempted the first night to put them back in the Snoo when I knew that every time they fussed, I'd have to be the one to get up instead of the snoo rocking them back to sleep lol. But it hasn't been too bad. I'd say between myself and my H, we get up about 3-4 times in the night to replace pacifiers. It seems to get better as every night goes on.

Thanks willow! I’m afraid to even change a single setting on the snoo My plan for now is to switch when he’s 6 months and I’m ready to just let him CIO for a few nights in crib. It may not even be necessary though, since I can put him down drowsy and I’m not sure he even needs the motion.

I’m watching the Netflix ‘Unwell’ series and they do an episode on breast milk. I’m only a few minutes into the episode but they’re interviewing a woman whose morning pumping session produces 70-80 ounces!

I'll take my 10ozs thanks.

Age- 14 weeks Updates - I kept seeing people say 3 months is when babies tend to get a little easier and I think it may actually be true for us. He’s been so much more chill and happy the past few days. I’ve been working on getting his daytime naps in the crib and it’s going ok. I can’t get more than 40-45 mins out of him that way but I’m just going to accept it, lol. SO got him to nap for 2 hours in his crib while I was working and I’m still pretty salty about that 😂 Omg though, he haaaaaaaates the car. All he does is scream. If anyone has any tricks for that please let me know! Milestones/ Appts - no appts until October Pic -

danib, M is SO drooly. It’s crazy. I don’t remember this with my first, but yeah we are constantly wiping up drool and changing clothes. I should just put bibs on him but I find the ones we have kind of annoying.

I’m sorry I have no tips about the car wasabi, but commiseration. My oldest hated the car for a long time. I want to say it wasn’t until like 7 or 8 months until he chilled out. He was a pretty fussy baby in general though and never napped well unless he was on me, so he was just a high needs baby.

wasabi my older two didn't chill in the car until I switched them to their convertible carseats (still RF, just not the bucket). I don't know if it was pure coincidence, or if there is some slight difference in the seats, but we'll see what happens with DS3 because he HATES it as well.

wasabi, the only thing I’ve found that works in the car is for me to sit next to him and entertain him. But that obviously doesn’t work when I have to drive.

I'll take my 10ozs thanks. I’ve heard of exclusive pumpers that can get all the milk they need for 24 hours in like 5 sessions. I couldn’t imagine pumping that many oz in one session though. When I worked full time I would get like 10-12 in my first pump session of the day and I thought that was pretty good.

wasabi I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that someone I follow on IG keeps a portable sound machine attached to her car seat and runs it in the car. It seems to help her. I have every intention of trying it as soon as I can find my portable sound machine. V seems to be getting better in the car though, thankfully.

Not as much during car rides but if we had to put him in the stroller for shopping or for walks, I would use it while he was still in his infant seat. It definitely helped keep him calm.

I always thought the car provided enough white noise, lol, but I will def try it out
