Hello all. It’s been awhile. We are surviving here. DS1 started school virtually on Monday. We have at least 8 more weeks of it. I have thankfully been able to WFH since March and L is going to his home daycare 5 days a week. We are in virtual speech twice a month and he seems to be speaking a lot better. There is also constant fighting over here. Lots of yelling lol.
It’s good to “see” everyone!

DS1 had his first day of in person kindergarten today. He loved it and said he can’t wait to go back tomorrow 🥰

DS1 had his first day of in person kindergarten today. He loved it and said he can’t wait to go back tomorrow 🥰 That’s great. N has been back in school since Tuesday and he loves it. My only concern is that he only knows 2 other kids in his class. All of his friends are remote learning or in the other class. He’s not one to put himself out there so it might be a lonely year. I’m hoping that doesn’t happen.

I’ve been back with kids since Wednesday. I’m lucky in the sense that I only have 7 in person learners and 3 remote learners. It’s been easy to setup my room to fit 7 kids 6 ft apart. But all the social distancing and new routines is really really hard. I don’t think in we have the sustainability to do this for months and months. I suspect once we are living life indoors (Maine in fall and winter) we will be remote learning again. Plus, it’s damn hard to teach in person and remote. I have never been trained for this. It is literally twice the work.

Hi all! Talk to me about double strollers. Anyone have one they like? I'm thinking I want a front and back vs. side by side. I was eyeing up the uppa baby on fb marketplace because new they are $$$. Is a 2013 one worth it though?

Is a 2013 one worth it though? I have a baby trend sit and stand double stroller. We took the back off the back seat and my 6 year old likes to sit on it. I found mine off Amazon when they were doing their Prime Days sale. I will say it is much heavier than I anticipated and I have to make my H carry it around. But it works well when both boys need some place to sit.

We also have baby trend sit and stand, it has a bench for the back. It works good for my 6y/o and 2.5 y/o but I don’t think I’d like it with a newborn.

Is a 2013 one worth it though? We have a Baby Jogger City Select double. Worth it. The boys like that there are lots of ways to configure the seats (so do I). My favorite is the stadium seating for back rider, no one looking at the bottom of the other chair and no basket loss. Even loaded with a bigger kid, it is so easy to push. I ended up buying mine new on amazon, but we had an issue with it, called them and they had a new frame to us that same week. Their CS was awesome. I opted for no side by side because I wanted to still be able to use it as a single.

It's a beast to fold up and take in the car, but for walking or running it's fantastic.

I love our dbl BOB and still use it. We had the Car seat adapter too so I used it when DS was an infant.
