Is anyone else there yet?
Z is ready, but I am not. He's interested in the potty and tells me when he poops and pees or wants a new diaper. He hasn't actually been successful on the potty yet so I think when I do decide to go for it, there are going to be a lot of messes to clean up. I've read all of the potty training books since it has been a challenge for J. I liked the Oh Crap method the best.

Nowhere near it. DD will tell me when she poops and wants to be changed immediately, but that's it.

Daycare has dd sitting on the potty, but she’s has only gone occasionally. I promised myself not to rush it because my oldest kid ruined me! So, fingers crossed that this kid figured it out. I probably won’t worry about it until she is closer to 3.

He was introduced to the potty a couple months ago at daycare and didn't resist so we're going with it. She's much better about taking him at regular intervals so many days he only has one wet diaper during the day. And he only poops in his diaper once a week. He never tells us he has to go, but holds his poop until he's on the potty. This is a first for us and it seems backwards!
With the other kids, we had a similar approach. Introduce them to the potty, but waited until they showed they could hold urine for extended periods of time before switching to underwear. We have a couple out of town trips coming up so it'll be a few weeks before we even think about trying underwear. I'd also like him to more consistently stay dry through naps/overnight. When our other kids were able to hold it through those extended periods of time, that was our clue that it was time to get more serious about potty training.
The other three were all trained before 2.5, so he seems to be on the same track. We wouldn't have been able to do it without the support of daycare though. We had great teachers/providers willing to deal with the messes, setbacks, and frequent bathroom visits.

DC is sort of introducing it because all but him and one other kid in his class are actively PTing. He's a little scared of sitting on the potty so they only sit him on there once a day or so. Hasn't gone on it. He knows what it is and knows when he has gone pee/poop. I keep meaning to buy a seat for our toilet so he can get more comfortable sitting on it. I definitely don't think he's 'ready'. But I'm also fine with them getting him into it some.

We have introduced the idea, but aren't serious about it. He seems to know when poop is coming, and even went and found the little potty, then pooped while sitting on it (in his diaper) yesterday. Daycare said he is asking to use the potty (other kids are further along in the process), so we're moving towards it, but not in a rush.
