Here's hoping this week is slightly less overwhelming than last week.

Lisa Murkowski says if a SCOTUS seat became available between now and the election, it would be a double standard to fill it and she wouldn't support it.

Sigh.

This could be written about my area too. It’s so spot on. And it’s why I feel change will be slow.

Also incredibly disheartening. But yeah it’s true. Fucking white people.

Has anyone listened to the Good White Parents podcast? I'm about halfway through the first episode and it's really interesting. The first episode is focused on a school in Brooklyn that had a huge increase in wealthy white families one year who wanted to bring a French program to the school, and the effects this big change had on the PTA and the dynamic among the students. I'm interested in seeing if they offer any solutions for how to make this work or if the school kept having problems.

Thanks, everyone!
Also, heads up DC-area locals (and anyone on the I95 corridor) - Capital Weather Gang says this afternoon's storms are just a preview of Isaias and that tomorrow will be worse. Stay safe out there!
