my test was negative and even though i’m not quite in the clear i am a bit relieved. i really want to get an antibody test even though accuracy is an issue and we don’t quite know what it all means at this point. i guess my shortness of breath and headaches are all still baby related. I’m glad it was negative!!

Had my growth scan today. Baby was measuring 29+1 (I’m 28+5 today) and they estimated his weight at 2lb15oz, so he’s about 53rd percentile. Much better than DD who was less than 3rd percentile at birth!
I’m waiting for a call to confirm my RCS is scheduled for 11/2!

So I passed the GD test, which is good, but my bloodwork came back with some not go great stuff. My WBC count is high- it was on the higher end earlier this pregnancy and was consistently high with DD as I entered 3rd tri. A high WBC count when there’s no sign of infection otherwise can mean inflammation in the placenta and is associated with babies being born SGA, which DD was, so I have a feeling I’m not going to make it to November.
I have another growth scan set for my next appointment at 32 weeks and then another one at 36 weeks. I’m hoping I get a call tomorrow from my OB to discuss the bloodwork and we can talk through a plan.

Not sure if it's pregnancy or if I overdid it yesterday (I totally did, but I slept great last night), but I've been so exhausted today. Today has been a complete waste.
Time seems to be flying- can't believe 3rd tri is almost here. I've been counting down until the election, which is SO SOON. It just really hit me that I'll have a baby the same month.

katespade sorry for that added worry with the elevated white count. i didn’t know that was an indication but it totally makes sense. hopefully he keeps growing well. i am worried about my glucose test - i always end up with a result that is 1-2 pts off of upper limit and had to do the 3 hour the first time around. i also overdid it yesterday. nesting is definitely happening here - seems a bit early. i ordered some more stuff for baby’s room this morning. i also power washed the porch yesterday - seemed totally necessary. i’m at the point where nothing in my house seems to be clean enough.

had my 28 wk appointment today. i passed my glucose but am anemic. i suspected as much and i’m really not looking forward to taking extra iron. growth scan went ok - baby is measuring in 45% but i have a little extra fluid and i’m measuring 2 weeks ahead which they said could be. nothing or issue with placenta.
my team green sil had a baby boy yesterday so we are pretty pumped. they were convinced it was a girl so it was a big surprise to them.
how’s everyone else doing? anyone else with appointments this week?

I have an appointment next week and then another 2 weeks later. I have no idea why they are so close together and am tempted to skip the one next week. Meh.
My PCP called to schedule my annual exam. Do you guys keep your annual exams with PCPs while pregnant? I imagine my OB will give me a flu shot at one of my appointments, although I did want to ask my PCP about getting re-vaccinated for chicken pox after giving birth.

piratecat i didn’t have my annual this year. i see my pcp for anxiety and she didn’t bring it up when i saw her in may which is when it would have been due. i guess i never thought anything of it. eta - i got an exam from ob at beginning of pregnancy - not sure if that covers everything in an annual but i just assume it does? i guess i should be asking more questions

I'm not scheduling an annual; I figured I've had enough doctor visits for one year. 2 weeks until my next appointment, which will include far more needles than I'd like (glucose text and rhogam shot, yuck).
I feel like pregnancy and the baby are on the back burner in my mind right now. The news and politics are really getting to me this week.

They gave me a pap during one of my visits because I was due for one, but I’m terrible at scheduling annual physicals. I see my cardiologist each year and have spent more time in the OBs office over the last year that I have little interest in seeing yet another doctor. I do always get my flu shot, though!

Oh I also hit the third trimester snores, so I had to go get some breathe right strips so I don’t wake the whole house up 😂

My PCP said I could skip it but we scheduled a telemedicine appointment instead.

I do not remember this happening last pregnancy. I've been waking up with a sore throat in the mornings wondering why. Then a few nights ago, I actually woke myself up from snoring 😂

I have an appt on Monday morning. It’s actually my first one in the office at the birth center which seems crazy to think about. It’s the glucose test so meh. I have a good bit of questions for them regarding post partum care so I’ll get those questions answered. Not looking forward to the weight check. Hopefully it’s not too rough but I haven’t been even trying to watch it. 😬

i have already gained more than my other pregnancies. i’m still within the “normal” gain range but i’m not feeling great about it. i blame quarantine baking and comfort eating. i usually plateau at the end so i’m hoping that happens this time around.

I am trying really hard not to let my weight bother me but it is. I’m sorry you’re also feeling crummy about it.

My weight is bothering me, too. I had put on quite a few pounds right before getting pregnant, so I'm really not where I want to be now. I'm already thinking about my game plan when I'm cleared for postpartum exercise
