I've seen a lot of discussion about fair pay and monetary contributions for pods within my local Moms page. The logistics of the money side was not something I had considered. It's so much to think about and happening fast.

This was posted on our local school discussion (not run by school) page when ppl were comparing our situation to what's happening in georgia and why we are in a better place or why its okay (or not) for schools to open here. (disclaimer I don't know the poster or how true it is, but since some kids are wearing masks I assume it isn't old photos) /?d=n I'm terrified for those kids

byjove, Uncaripswife, I wonder if they are getting requests to group certain students together in particular virtual classrooms because their parents are planning a pod. I can imagine that would be frustrating and basically impossible to accommodate for the school admins with everything else they are juggling.

fatpony My librarian heart is raging for you. I had a talk with my SIL about why it's not ok to just "pop in" to grab books even if they are open in her community. The safety of employees should be prioritized and it isn't happening. Our library is curbside only. I walk to pick up but call so she can put the books right outside the door for us to pick up. No human interaction. I do worry for everyone who has to work with the public. Because people as a whole suck

Bottom right is in the Alpharetta area, I think? Or maybe Forsyth county? It’s just so stupid. I am so scared for what the next few weeks are going to look like. The Georgia world congress center opened yesterday as a 60 bed covid hospital, with the ability to expand to 120 beds. Just crazy.

byjove such a stunning girl and pup! I have 2 redheads too, I think they really are the best I'm glad she had a good birthday! Yes, I love gingers. DD2 is not a red head, and when out DD1 does attract quite a bit of attention for her hair, so I feel like I’m always telling DD2 you’re cute too but DD2 was born with a white streak in her hair and DD2 is obsessed with frozen, so she is quite pleased with that connection. DH is also a red head and so they have a lot of freckle related conversations and DD1 likes to say she is going to grow even more freckles than daddy has 😂

I always loved it growing up. When she's older she should watch X-Men. 😊

In addition to being on desk 4+ hours a day, doing 200 item holds lists every morning. Did I mention my library branch has a full time staff of 5, with the two managers working from home 2-3 days per week?

byjove, your DD is adorable, her curls & color, so pretty! Glad you found a way to celebrate her! cakewench, I saw others wishing you Happy Birthday in the other thread so wanted to add my sentiments here too, hope you did something to mark the day even in just a small way. stringy, LaRo422, thanks for sharing those photos and explanation. Our private school has made the decision to move forward with starting in person with precautions (distancing as able, masks). People in the school are commenting on "how can we get around the mask rules since we are private?" I'm a mess. Torn between knowing what is safest for my kids and not wanting them to be social outcasts if we keep distancing ourselves. I know things could change before the end of the month as cases continue to climb and we see how its working in other parts of US. Since March I've felt ok about everything since I knew they'd be home until at least August. Now that the start of school is looming, my anxiety has cranked into high gear. Thanks everyone for your support on the pool party situation. I'm in the process of letting down DD gently and offering up a safer alternative soon.

For real. It's what I wish my hair looked like! Do you like getting out tangles? Let me introduce you to my mom who can tell you about the nightmare my hair was as a child. It's thin and fine now, but it was much thicker and curlier then. That No More Tangles spray was LIES. *pours one out for my hair*

For real. It's what I wish my hair looked like! Do you like getting out tangles? My hair isn't curly, but was a rat's nest as a child and then my mother got me a perm when I was 7. I got used to it LOL. I tell hairdressers to this day that I have no pain receptors in my scalp because of my mother yanking a comb through it. Also, my 2nd grade school picture with gap teeth and a frizzy perm is... a look.

Also, the half a bottle of V05 conditioner I dumped on my head just made me a grease ball.

*breathes into paper bag*
My husband started feeling sick this weekend. It started with just really bad congestion and funny nose with a sore throat. By yesterday it had evolved to a headache, periodic fever, body aches, chills, and nausea. He's at the doctor's right now getting tested.
We're both trying not to freak out. Especially since N has had a really similar runny nose since this weekend as well. She hasn't shown any other symptoms. I've been having some weird indigestion and nausea intermittently, but otherwise feel ok. Fingers crossed he's negative and it's just a regular cold.

How is that picture both adorable and absolutely terrifying lemondrop? And why were 90s homemade costumes so, so creepy?
