Welcome katespade ! The first thing I packed in my hospital bag was a bottle of champagne. Family tradition. I was timing contractions while I grocery shopped this afternoon. I think they're just strong Braxton Hicks today though. ETA: beenthere sorry things are tough right now. The end of pregnancy is hard enough without moving and all of those other things going on. Hugs!

I finally packed a hospital bag. Maybe it'll be the universal karma I need to get this baby out. I started mine yesterday, but still don't have a lot of stuff I need for it. Or it's just going to be used still between now and then. Mines comprised like 98% of nursing tanks and bras and yoga pants 😂 I think the only thing I'll need to grab day of is my glasses since I can't find my back up pair.

Can I pop in and join you guys? I’m due 11/8, was planning to schedule the RCS for 11/2, but I think I’m going to end up needing to deliver in October after all. While I had a good growth scan this week, I had some questionable bloodwork (nearly identical to what I had with DD and I ended up having IUGR) and I suspect my csection date is going to be moved up. At least I passed the GD test. Oh my gosh, yay! Yes, hi! I'm so excited for you!

I've had contractions all day long today regardless if I'm resting or up moving around. Nothing intense or regular, but all day no matter what, so. Please, please, please be early labor. Body, I'm begging you!

I still need to get nursing tanks, but I'll probably just take loose fitting tanks and sports bras for the hospital. Ha definitely a necessity fem! Does anyone take a blanket from home? I'm definitely taking a pillow, but thinking about a blanket too.

Which is A-OK by me as long as it is after 10/1 so DH can get his 12 weeks of paid parental leave from the feds!

I ordered a bunch of nursing tanks from Amazon so FX they work out.
Last week I washed all of B's nb-3mo clothes, which was an ordeal of soaking in oxi-clean to get stains out. I also washed the car seat cover. I'm in denial that he was ever that small.
This week's goal is to install said car seat, which involves cleaning out my car now that we are done moving things in it and maybe packing the hospital bag. I guess the "good" thing about not being allowed visitors is that I'll probably not feel the need to get dressed. We're hoping to get sprung loose at the 24 hour mark, so it will mainly be bringing shower supplies.

My 3yo is at daycare. I just took an hour long bath and DD1 was playing Roblox for two hours. She just came up and asked if it's lunchtime (it's 10:45) and I realized she never got breakfast. Whoops.
Motivation is at -5 today.

I had strong contractions all night. They kept waking me up so I'd time them for like an hour before passing back out just to get woken up again. They fizzled out over the course of today. Cool trick, body. Real cool.

Its ok to not go crazy and buy a new going home outfit for #2 right? We have a ton of 0-3mo clothes and since we're team green I just feel no need to go spend the money.

We've bought a new outfit for every kid. They're so cheap depending on what you buy, it's something so small. Plus DD2 lives in DD1's hand me downs and that's not changing anytime soon. It's the little things.

I'm completely extra, but I brought all new outfits for each boy during the hospital stay and first weeks, especially DS3 because I knew he was gonna be tiny so I brought some preemie size and I'm glad I did because newborn would have been way too big. DD is measuring even smaller than DS3 so I imagine she'll likely be in preemie too. I'm planning on bringing some newborn stuff though just in case she ends up being bigger than expected.

I have a going home outfit planned but I got it for $2 at the thrift store. So I guess I fall somewhere in the middle?

I had a growth scan this morning. Baby is growing well, but my fluid is low, so they sent me over to L&D where I’m waiting to be seen to (hopefully) confirm that my water hasn’t broken and to get the first of a course of steroid shots. I’m only 33+1 today so here’s hoping we can hang in there for a few more weeks. Fingers crossed your water hasn't broken and baby gets to stay in there longer!! Keep us updated.

So my cervix is still 'high and unfavorable' so she pushed my induction back from 8/31 to 9/5. I almost cried in her office. 😭

Thanks, I shouldn't really be complaining because everything is looking good, I'm just hot and tired and done. Any update on if your water broke?

Confession, I sobbed in my bathroom the other day because my contractions hurt so badly but I'm still pregnant and it's so unfair feeling. I'm sorry you're body is being a jerk.

Attention all babies who are 37+ weeks: It’s your turn to get out. Please do your moms a favor and go about your business of exiting their bodies shortly. Yes, sweet Jesus, please! Friday I'll be 38+3 which is the most pregnant I've ever been and I'm going to pissed if I'm still pregnant on Saturday.

Went to the MFM for what I was hoping would be my last appointment with her. Had a measurement, little bit is measuring 4lb 6oz, but all of his bloodflow looks good. She wants me to come back the day before my induction for another measurement 🙄 I'm gonna talk to my OB when I go Friday to see if she can't convince the MFM to let them do the US. I really don't want to spend my last day before going to the hospital driving an hour and a half each way for an appointment. Especially since its not going to change anything. She doesn't want me to go over 38 weeks and I'll be 38w exactly on induction day.

My MFM tried to schedule me one last growth scan and it would have been like the day before my csection. LOLNO. Not happening.

I’m spending the night in L&D. They’re keeping me until at least tomorrow afternoon so I can get my second steroid shot and have a follow up ultrasound to check fluid levels. The swab for amniotic fluid came back negative, so it’s likely not pPROM. Fingers crossed you get to go home today! I hope you had a restful night.

I'm about half way moved in at this point. I have a virtual appointment with my new PCM tomorrow at 11 and I will hopefully get referrals from there, I'm hoping that she'll take me at my word and go ahead and put in the MFM referral so we can get a better look at baby girl's head and brain and not make me wait for the OB here's recommendation.
Also I need to go to the office that denied me as a patient and pick up the records I had faxed there.

We have everything inside the new house but our garage is a hot mess and the foyer is full of boxes. I also need to organize my closet, but let’s be real, I won’t be wearing any of those clothes until January so I’m in no rush.

shesellscshells did you get to go home? I worked one of my two teacher days before leave officially begins Monday. When I got home DH said he got me a 'push present' and handed me a new cell phone! I usually just have cheap Android phones and he said I needed a new phone to take good pictures of the baby. He's not usually one for big gestures so it was really sweet.
