I had two hours of timeable contractions last evening (some I had to breathe through), off and on contractions all night, now nothing. I hope this doesn't last weeks.

I don't like this nonsense.

I don't like this nonsense. I've never gone into labor via contractions. Both times my water broke and I still needed induction help to kick them started. But I always have tons of contractions my entire third trimester, so it's such a mindfuck of bullshit, lol.

I just had a cervical check and I'm still "soft but not open" same as last week. Eff you, contractions! At least be semi productive 😭 One more OB check until my c-section and I just want this kid to come before my surgery. I'm so over being pregnant.

Had my appointment today. Baby is 6.5 lbs, they estimated at 40 weeks she would be 8 lbs. The doctor agreed that being induced at 39 weeks was the way to go! Woohoo, I didn't realize how hesitant I was about a c-section but I feel really good about the induction. They would estimate her weight then at 7.5 lbs, which is what my first was who I had no issues delivering.
She did a cervical check but it was still high and she didn't want to 'hurt me or get anything started' by digging around. She thought I was 40% effaced, and said I could be a little dilated but she couldn't say for sure. Next week at my appointment we'll schedule the induction (I'm guessing it will still be August 31st, the day my c-section was scheduled).

Had my GBS swab today and since I'm a RCS, I also had one in the nose. It wasn't anything like the covid swab that I'll get again in a couple weeks lol. 3 weeks from today and this LO will make his appearance!

I've had a low back ache and stabbing cervical pressure all day. Irregular, low level contractions. Please, sweet baby, be labor.
Hint; my body hates me, it'll never be labor.

I had to remind my OB at my check this week (I was 37+1) that I hadn't had my GBS swab yet. Good thing I'm not a first time Mom.

From all of us with October due dates, I'm here to say I'm jealous. We're still 6 weeks out from induction. I'm in a lot more pain overall this time, but I'm still hitting the treadmill 3-4 times a week.
But at least we're mostly moved into the new house. I started washing baby clothes this week. Gear is up next and car seat installation. One of my friends is a certified tech and said she would come over to check it out since we have a new car this time. I have 3 weeks until I go into full quarantine, so I feel like I need to do all the things while I can still make quick trips to the store.

rooskie what general area of the country are you in (if you don't mind sharing) that your doctor recommends you quarantine? I'm just curious. I'm in MN and my doctor hasn't brought it up at all. Our cases aren't terrible, but not great either. Good thing they didn't, I have to work two days next week for back to school stuff, which is looking like that's just 4 days before I'll be induced.

Yeah the latest baby girl will make her entry is 39 weeks at the end of October. I'm guessing I have about 7 weeks left though.

Not rooskie, but I'm in NY where our numbers are really good and we have minimal restrictions at this point. I wasn't told I have to fully quarantine, but my doctor encouraged me to be more limited in going places and being more on top of safety precautions in the two weeks leading up to my section. I went out to eat like a bunch of times this week, shopped, got a pedicure, being out of town with friends and family. Clearly I'm winning at rule following rules, lol.

I’m in So IN. It’s for the safety of the hospital staff. They basically want us not to go into work or stores. B can go to daycare. There’s a consignment sale I really want to go to that would be just under the 2 wk mark from my induction so I might cheat but I need to see what B has for fall clothes. I went to the spring one and there were like 50 people in a convention center that is capacity at 600.

If I can figure out how I'm going to send you a PM with where.

DH let me know last night he's not really feeling our name choice anymore (Florence). So now about 10 days before I'm induced we're back to the drawing board. The stubborn part of me doesn't want MIL to revel in the fact that she didn't like the name and now we're not using it.
Also my hemorrhoids from pushing out the last two are back and bothering me. My MIL swears by Maruka honey + lavender oil so I might try that today. The end of pregnancy is so glamorous.

The more pregnant I get, the more iPad my kiddo gets.
Also I thought we had names picked but now H is waffling on the boy name.

After Tuesdayish I would say we will be settled in our house. We tend to set up fast. And then I think I'm just gonna cry for a week because I haven't processed anything of the big things that have been happening (baby's head size concerns, my dad's heart issues may need a transplant, general marriage unhappiness) I've got to probably beg the military hospital to give me a pity referral so I don't have to drive an hour for prenatal appointments with a high risk pregnancy and three toddlers at home.

I finally packed a hospital bag. Maybe it'll be the universal karma I need to get this baby out.

Can I pop in and join you guys? I’m due 11/8, was planning to schedule the RCS for 11/2, but I think I’m going to end up needing to deliver in October after all. While I had a good growth scan this week, I had some questionable bloodwork (nearly identical to what I had with DD and I ended up having IUGR) and I suspect my csection date is going to be moved up.
At least I passed the GD test.
