Yay mc13! Do they have names picked out? Nothing was set last we chatted. Big brother (2yo) is Leo. They said if it’s a girl middle name would probably be Caroline after SIL’s Nana that raised her and they were leaning towards Mary for first name. They had 0 boy names decided.

I’m getting a new niece or nephew today (they’re team green). SIL’s water broke last night. 6cm dilated as of 6am. I’ll just be checking my phone every 2seconds all day. It’s a girl! *Poof*. I just love her name. And SIL had a successful VBAC.

There was a black bear in what is essentially my front yard last week. Last night I watched a tiny mouse try to run up my steps TWICE. MH was of course on call both times, because that is the story of my life. I put a trap at the bottom of the stairs and then shoved towels under the gaps of our bedroom doors and still kept waking up all.damn.night. wondering where that mouse was. And the trap was empty this morning. I had just vacuumed and de-cluttered my entire downstairs the night before and saw zero evidence of anything so I don't know where the F the little guy came from. I considered bringing my cats inside but they really only like being in my house for like 3 min at a time.
I'm very upset.

I find that surprising, considering you have so many animals! Animals are everywhere.

And my cats leave us dead mice on the driveway. I'm just over it. Also, I rarely see them- usually MH is the one who spots them and deals with it. Last night I was shook after seeing it twice!

I got drunk with my dad for the first time ever last night. It was weird. I have never ever seen my dad drunk. My mom I've seen a little tipsy because she's a total lightweight and one glass of wine goes straight to her head. They're the type to order one drink between the two of them at a restaurant and share it.

We are looking at getting a pet/house sitter from Rover.com for our trip next month, and I'm so nervous! I've never left my dogs with a "stranger", let alone in our house.

I’ve matched my dad drink for drink before and been totally plastered while my dad seems utterly calm and normal. Which means that my dad either has a much higher tolerance than I, or that he is perpetually drunk. Likely the former.

I had a 6am meeting. Yes its early. But I love getting things done before the kids get up. And when I cut out early this afternoon to get some fall crafts and mail a package to my sister I wont feel bad. Actual footage of my hair on morning calls (or all day) below.

The chickens are going to their new home tomorrow. I am very anxious about how my kids are going to handle it. If they cry I'm going to cry and am I ruining their lives by uprooting them and giving all their animals away? I really truly think once we get moved they will be thrilled and fine, but the in-between scares me. Also it is going to be weird not having the chickens wandering around every day and trying to hop in my car when we go places.

That may be my answer to everything today. Stuffed animals.

My brother and SIL just gave their chickens away when they sold their house. SIL had the kids (6 and 4) make cards for them and they seemed totally fine about it knowing that they were going to a new home where they can play with other animals.

Get you some fat chickens. PS, they'll be okay, even if the transition is hard. Hugs.

Netflix just told me they’re taking Parks and Rec away October 1st. 2020 has taken so much and now this? How can we make it thru these trying times without Leslie Knope?
