fancynewbeesly, TJs is one I've missed.. I'm out of so many seasonings and pantry items from there and it makes me sad. They're still too busy around here with lines almost around the building most days waiting to get in. I went on July 5th. Early. It was SO empty. I figured that no one goes to the food store the day after a holiday. I was right. 😂 The parking lot wasn’t even full.

WNY here.
6 year old started camp last week and almost 3 year old went back to day care last month. We have memberships to the zoo and science museum, but I don’t know when we will go now that they’re open since the younger kid has no interest in a mask.
I’m hoping numbers stay low, so the schools open full time. Distance learning was a battle and I’m just stressing about continuing education through the summer.

Do y’all have a quarantine mandate? Asking because aforementioned aunts are heading your way tomorrow, and I have no qualms on reporting them for being out in the general public. Yes, I am that desperate Certain states are supposed to but I do not believe they’re being enforced. The City of Philadelphia is much more strict than the burbs near me, so you might have a shot, depending on where they are going Middle of nowhere - Northampton/Allentown area

You all are basically midwesterners according to people in the capital region. 😜 For sure. It’s the wild west once you pass Amsterdam 😂 Well downstaters/NYC/LI think Westchester is upstate. We can have this fight. My body is ready.

Our numbers are good but I’m really worried they are going to spike again. Sigh.

We were in what turned out to be a DE hotspot for a week at the middle to end of June. I saw my primary shortly after we got back for a scheduled physical and she was unconcerned. I don’t have any symptoms but was able to get a test slot at CVS last week and still waiting on results.

Our babysitter’s parents have a house in OCNJ and she said she doesn’t feel so comfortable on the boardwalk but the beach has been fine.

They extended everyone's memberships by three months which was nice. Hopefully we'll be brave enough to go at some point.

I think you are where I am. I think the most scandalous thing I've seen is that Wegman's isn't enforcing masks. There are grocery store chains facing many lawsuits over mask requirements so I imagine a lot of businesses are nervous. Oh FFS. Stores can require you to wear shoes. They can require you to wear a mask. I'm over these idiots

Hello from MD. 🦀 As it stands now- my kids have been in summer camp for 2 weeks, I’m WFH thru at least Oct (per my employer), I have no idea what school looks like for Fall, and EVERYONE is doing a great job wearing their masks indoors in public. gallagher, we have made it to Lewes twice this summer. I’ve seen the news on what a shitshow Dewey and Reho are, so no thanks. OCMD scares me too.

We got it in February. It's been used zero times and I am doubtful we'll use it at all this year.

Not sure if coastal DE belongs here but we are a hop skip and jump from Jersey shore via ferry, philly, DC, etc. DE is on Phillys list of “quarantine if you’ve been there” thanks to beach tourists. We were supposed to be at the Delaware beaches this week but cancelled at the end of May. I was really sad but it has all worked out for the best because we got sick this week and that would have been a nightmare away from home. Plus DE was added to NY's quarantine list this week, too so we would have had to quarantine home with the kids for two weeks when we got back.

Just outside of DC here in MD.
We were supposed to go to Bethany this week but everything I was seeing in the surrounding areas made us too nervous so we stayed home. I think I'd have gone if I didn't have my kid, but I didn't want to deal with his frustration over not getting to do our normal things.

[br I read something about masks not being covered under ADA because it’s not a reasonable accommodation. It’s a serious public health issue and therefore not covered. (Not saying you think it is just adding what I’ve read about it)

DD1 has been asking to go though and I keep lying and telling her it's still closed. We got ours last summer so we used it all summer and fall.

Not going to lie- panic started to set in once I read about NYC schools. We're trying to figure out our options, but I think it's going to be the same just about everywhere. The unexpected expenses of this pandemic (childcare, bought a car, parking a car, increased grocery costs, tutoring etc) have been brutal and what we consider a need has changed dramatically.
People in the city have been amazing about masks, distancing, and taking everything seriously. We're visiting family in Hudson Valley this week and the change of scenery has been incredible. People up here are also taking the masks very seriously.

South Central PA here. I’ve been stalking the COVID threads trying to find any shred of good news. Our school district initially said masks were heavily recommended but not required and now with the new mandate everyone is losing their minds “NOT MY CHILD” and talking about their precious freedom. 🤦🏻♀️

It seems to be a thing they’ve asked him why school kids are safe to go to school but it’s not safe for stone and manafort etc to be in prison. And lots of we will send our kids back to school when those guys get sent back to prison. And naturally he walks out when asked about it.
And rent in Manhattan is down 6.6% , lowest since at least 2011, and there’s more units available than ever (?). So maybe some hope for outrageous prohibitive rents in some places that are over the top.

I’m in Philly. My neighborhood is just as active as ever (with masks) but I haven’t walked into Center City since March. My daughter went back to daycare on Monday. The city is so oddly quiet that we’re driving there (City Hall area) to Drop off/pick up. Parking is easy. These are crazy times.
Masks are encouraged. My three year, who was a solid “absolutely not,” wears her mask indoors. Never underestimate peer pressure and kindness. ❤️
