This is my birth plan so far. I'm probably going to add some things to it after I talk to the doctor but this is probably the gist

beenthere does a clear drape mean you would see everything during the C-section? I haven't had one, but if so props to you, I think that would make me pass out! I've obviously been lucky to have two healthy babies, and by no means want anything to go wrong with this pregnancy, but I'm jealous of those 37 and 38 week deliveries. I was induced with my first at 41 weeks, and had my second at 40+2. Last appointment she was talking induction at 39 weeks so baby didn't get too big, but I'd be happy to go into labor on my own the week before that!

You don't see really anything other than the baby coming out. It's double layered, theres a blue layer that drops down right before, then after baby is out they put the blue layer back up.

Hoping for similar with baby girl.

The way the surgical light was positioned above me during my section with DD2 I could see reflection of my surgery. I saw EVERYTHING. I tried to turn my head but I was so tired from laboring for long I just watched. I'm not squeamish about that kind of stuff though.
I probably won't write a birth plan, tbh. I forgot mine with DD1 and basically everything about mine went out the window with DD2. I just don't feel like I care? I've been very whatever about everything with this pregnancy. I also had rotating doctors for the girls. With this one I've seen the same doctor my whole pregnancy and she'll be delivering me too. She'll be well aware of my wishes by then, we've already discussed them a lot at length since there's a possibility I could shoot for VBA2C if I go into labor and feel so compelled.
Hospital bag I will pack sooner rather than later since my babies come earlier, but probably not for a couple more weeks still. I still need my duffle bag and/or suitcase for another potential hospital stay with DD2 and another week at my parent's house for DD1 to do another week of camp. So I don't know.

Right now our plan is to go in the night of 10/1 to be induced. We will likely get a babysitter while we check in then H can come back in the morning so he can get B to school and get sleep.
Beyond that I want an epidural and the peanut ball that looks like a minion a lot earlier and whatever it takes for the baby to get out safe.
Delayed cord cutting and bath. Lactation to come in and check for ties and put off first bath for awhile.
We will likely be discharged at 24 hours this time. I still haven’t left B with anyone overnight so I’ll be anxious to get back to him.
As far as hospital bags we should have a separate thread for things people really loved!
I’ll be packing mine and installing the car seat around Labor Day (haha haha)
I packed maternity leggings last time and had issues getting them up and down in the hospital to pee fast enough. This time we won’t be able to have visitors so I’ll be wearing old sweats/shorts. I also couldn’t wear any shoes home except for flip flops because I was swollen from the iv fluids.

I’m also probably going to pack my own diet Dr Pepper because that’s what I wanted last time. I got French toast sticks and a Diet Pepsi until my mom came with a #2 from MCD with a diet Dr Pepper.

My mom is planning to come out and stay the few days with the girls while we're in the hospital. Right now I think our state policy is that the support person cannot leave the hospital once they're in or they can't return. And since I'm likely having a csection we're looking at a 3 day stay. Last time H would kind of come and go and that won't be an option this time. MIL is also pretty happy to come out too.

I'm 29w3d so I haven't thought about hospital bag at all yet..
As far as birth plan, since I'm having a RCS my only real request is immediate skin to skin/breastfeed because I didn't get that last time. Not sure how I feel about the clear drape so idk if I'll ask for one or not. DS will stay with my mom while we're in the hospital.
I pulled out DS #1's pack n play, bath, and a little chair to start cleaning up for this LO today. End of this week I'll probably start pulling out clothes to sort through. Thankfully they'll be born around the same time so most of the clothes should work.

I have no desire to nest. Getting anything ready sounds like torture. Our neighborhood is having a garage sale and we're planning to go through all the girl clothes in the basement to prep for it and I'm so turned off by the idea. I'd much rather just light my basement on fire at this point. I just want to lay around and gestate like a beached whale for the next seven weeks without anyone touching me, speaking to me, or looking at me.

We finally got the keys to the new house this morning. I’m probably enlisting my mom to help me sort through baby stuff when we get the room painted and furniture moved. Luckily I have everything labeled really well, so I’ll see how ambitious I get. Somehow since we are team green x2 we only have 2 diaper boxes full of 0-3mo clothes, and that includes half a box of nb diapers.

I want to do all the nesting. My body and my kids do not want me to nest. They are constantly sabotaging my efforts. The struggle is real. Come nest at my house for me. My kids will entertain yours.

Also I had a holy crap moment yesterday. Last time they started watching me at 34 weeks for pre-e pretty closely, but it luckily never amounted to anything. That's 6 weeks away. And we have a new house that we have to repaint and move into before I can start washing baby stuff, etc. And I have to move DS out of the crib into a twin bed.
H was like, it will all be ok. He's ok with them pushing the remodels a little bit further out so we don't get hit with a ton of bills really fast. I told him I just wanted #2 to have clean clothes to come home in. But then I remembered my mom just retired and would probably go out and buy all the things and wash them if we did have an emergency.

Besides a trip to the park for the puppet wagon my kids have been on their screens all day.
It's a constant battle between 'I'm tired' and 'intense Mom guilt.'

I think we finally agreed on a name!
Florence Jean (Jean was my mom's middle name who passed away 3 years ago).
I think it fits well with Caroline and Ophelia, and all 4 of us agreed we like it (my girls are extremely opinionated about names).

I'm just relieved to have made a decision. DH has to go on a work trip for a week starting tomorrow, I told him I need to know what to name the baby in case she makes a surprise appearance while he's gone.

Woke up this morning and wiped some bloody mucous. Coooooool body. I'm definitely not in danger of going today by any means, but I'm definitely not making it to my EDD. We'll see if I make it to my RCS date. They just called today, scheduled for 9/2 at 1pm and we have to go for covid tests Saturday before.

Deleted my last post, I realized MIL's full name was visible. We told her last night we decided on Florence, and she doesn't like it because of the Flo nickname which we already said we aren't planning to use. She won't stop texting me more name recommendations! Even after the conversation below she kept sending them. Grrrr.

At least no new suggestions today so far.

My Target and Amazon registry completion coupons are effective as of today! I set my due date at approximately 36 weeks for both, since I deliver on the early side and want time to be prepared. We don’t “need” much, just a second crib, maybe a more comfortable chair for the nursery, and perhaps some other household things that qualify for the discount at Target... like a Roomba, which is a way overdue purchase for life with two dogs and almost-4 little kids. 😏 Robot vacuums are amazing. I just moved our very old and cranky original Roomba upstairs where it'll have an easier time doing just wall to wall carpet. H got me a new shark Ion for my birthday and it's been busting butt downstairs now. Real vacuuming is for suckers. I get my vacuum out like once a month now and our dog sheds enough to make a second smaller dog out of the fur.

I passed my glucose test! My weight went up 10# in 4 weeks due to water retention so now I’m on pre-e watch again. I normally have really low BP so this should be fun.

I've been getting some headaches lately and there was trace amounts of protein in my urine this week at my appointment, but my blood pressure is still fine so my OB wasn't too concerned. Hopefully you stay healthy!

Hopefully you stay healthy! They did this to me last time too. My doctor kept telling me to be ready to deliver at 34 weeks, but B was 2 days late. I'm just going to keep watching my BP and hope the water retention is part from this heat/humidity/exercising more. Luckily my stomach is measuring on track, so that was helpful.
