I always think of Diana as so much older because of Charles’ age (which is closer to my own parents). It’s hard to believe she wouldn’t even be 60 yet had she lived.

That first gif makes me sad lol That first gif makes me think she's phoning it in. She has a beautiful smile on her face, and I'm not saying she's not trying but she was real close to Wills the whole time who looked like he was giving it his all to attempt to keep up with Harry who was just chilling. I wonder if she's a better athlete than him on the DL, but never show him up in public.

And so it begins...Meghan Markle Was 'Silenced' by Monarchy Amid 'False' Stories: Court Filing Meghan Markle faced "false and damaging" articles while "pregnant, unprotected by the institution" of monarchy and "prohibited from defending herself," court papers claim. The Duchess of Sussex's latest filing in her case against U.K. tabloid the Mail on Sunday attacks the Kensington Palace (KP) press team for a policy of standard "no comment" responses to requests from the media. Meghan's lawyer describes how "everyone felt silenced" after friends and family were told they could not speak to journalists even when confronted with untrue claims about her. The documents, seen by Newsweek, read: "[Meghan] had become the subject of a large number of false and damaging articles by the UK tabloid media, specifically by the defendant [the publisher of the Mail on Sunday], which caused tremendous emotional distress and damage to her mental health. "As her friends had never seen her in this state before, they were rightly concerned for her welfare, specifically as she was pregnant, unprotected by the Institution, and prohibited from defending herself." The filing adds: "It was mandated by the KP Communications Team that all friends and family of [Meghan] should say 'no comment' when approached by any media outlet, despite misinformation being provided to UK tabloids about [Meghan]." Meghan is suing the publisher of the Mail on Sunday under copyright and privacy for printing extracts from a letter she sent her father revealing her emotional distress about his actions surrounding her wedding to Prince Harry in May 2018. www.newsweek.com/meghan-markle-was-silenced-monarchy-amid-false-stories-court-filing-1514913?utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1593676608There's more in there about a people magazine article that KP made her have no comment on, but if she had a choice she would have asked the KP Communications Team to say on the record that she had not been involved with the People magazine article, as she had not been.

She is suing the publisher over five articles - two in the Mail on Sunday and three on MailOnline - which were published in February 2019 and reproduced parts of a handwritten letter she sent to her dad in August 2018. The court documents also show that Meghan has identified five friends who gave an interview to People Magazine about the letter. It is claimed that Mr Markle only came forward with the letter following the interview to show that it did not include the tender sentiments they had suggested. MailOnline reports that Meghan said she "did not know about the interview having been given, and only found out about it, and any reference to the Letter, after the People magazine article was published". The court documents also claim that the royal wedding of Harry and Meghan raised £1billion in tourist revenue. This figure has been previously refuted by consulting firm Brand Finance, MailOnline reports, with a figure of £300million closer to the mark. Meghan also claims in the papers that she did not write in the letter that her father had 'victimised' her, as had been reported. She instead wrote that she was concerned that he was being manipulated by the media, the papers claim. At the beginning of May Associated Newspapers asked Mr Justice Warby to strike out the following allegations in Meghan's case: - That the defendant acted dishonestly and in bad faith. - That the defendant deliberately dug up or stirred up conflict between the claimant and her father. - That the claimant was distressed by the defendant’s “obvious agenda of publishing intrusive or offensive stories about [her] intended to portray her in a false and damaging light”. Mr Justice Warby agreed the allegations should not form part of her case at this stage because they were "irrelevant" to her claim for misuse of private information, copyright infringement and breach of the Data Protection Act. But he said those parts of her case may be revived at a later stage, if they are put on a proper legal basis. After Justice Warby's ruling became known, Meghan said in a statement: "Today's ruling makes very clear that the core elements of this case do not change and will continue to move forward. "The duchess' rights were violated; the legal boundaries around privacy were crossed. www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/meghan-markle-claims-unprotected-royal-22286171?utm_source=twitter.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar

A couple of blinds for those who don't:
June 10, 2020
This one named permanent A list singer in a group and solo is about to land the production deal that the alliterate former actress turned royal wanted.
Beyonce/Meghan Markle/Disney
June 11, 2020
It remains to be seen if the alliterate former actress turned royal calls out her bully best friend for trying to ruin the career of a woman. The royal would play the victim card if she was on the bullying end and demand something be done. My guess is there will be nothing but crickets because of the upcoming trial.

I truly feel for Meghan being racially attacked by the press and not having a single statement made by the BRF on her behalf. The gossip about her dad, etc, I feel like that’s par for the course of being a celebrity but the racism was so out of line and she wasn’t able to make a statement about it to defend herself.
I do think that they should, at this point, move forward and kick ass on their current projects. It’s time for them to use their voice.

I’d like Maxima’s outfit better if the shoes and clutch matched her shirt.

Ugh. She looks so unhappy, even in the official portrait. The candids are particularly troublesome.
Makes me sad. I hope her kids bring her the happiness she is missing.

I'm interested to hear what you guys think about all this, because you are all usually Team Meghan. So what I'm confused about is whether KP themselves wouldn't issue any denials about DM on her behalf (like they did with the Rose Hanbury story and the Tatler article) or if they just wanted her friends to say "no comment"? Because Harry used KP to put out a statement when they were dating, IIRC. So I guess why didn't they instruct the KP press office to squash certain stories?

KP’s general stance is no comment on everything. But somethings do get denied and Harry and Will did each put out a statement to defend their girlfriends at one point.

Right, never complain, never explain. The shit with Meghan was particularly vicious, and I've seen criticism that the queen, Charles, W&K didn't do anything about it. Harry and Meghan could have, though. Right? The same staff worked for them.
